This North Campus laundromat and dry cleaner may not look like much on the outside, but it's all an OSU student will ever need to get their dry cleaning needs taken care of. How much dry cleaning a college student will need done while living in the area that's serviced by Bright and Clean is uncertain, but I know that it was always my go-to place to get sweaters and suits taken care of when I lived in the North Campus neighborhood. The inside is a mess of neon lights, wires, and industrial sized washers and dryers, but Bright and Clean gets the job done regardless. If you've put off doing laundry until the very last minute and can't bear the thought of sitting in a laundromat staring at the ceiling for hours, there's a wash and fold service that's only 85 cents a pound- not too shabby. What I utilized the most here was their next day dry cleaning service for my winter sweaters, which fit perfectly in budget at only 3 dollars a sweater. I only got them laundered once a twice a year, and Bright and Clean left them smelling fresh and new without fail every time. For being one of the only dry cleaning joints located near OSU, it's definitely worth the visit! read more

I went here to wash my clothes and put $20 in the card machine to purchase a card to do my laundry and the machine dispensed an invalid card. Nobody was on site at either laundromat in columbus so there was no way to get in touch with an attendee. I went up there again on the next day and there was an attendee there but, she told me there was nothing she could do about it after showing me a wall of the same complaints. Even if you can't give my $20 back at the moment, the least you could do is put a sign on the machine that says it's malfunctioning to avoid having new customers or any customer go through the hassle of losing money that is worked hard for. This was October 27 and I have YET to receive a refund nor a response to my email. I do NOT recommend going here to do laundry. read more

I've been coming here to do my laundry for 3 years now. It's in a convenient location and they have ample seating area, snacks, laundry essentials and televisions. It's EXPENSIVE to wash more than one load of clothes but I feel like it's worth it because of how fast it cleans your clothes. My experience here has been traumatizing!!! I watched a man sit down on the floor and TAKE OFF HIS CLOTHES - exposing his genitals!!! The woman working approached him and said "You know you are not allowed to be in here. You need to leave" (he resisted leaving) & the verbiage she used led me to believe this has clearly been a problem before! I do feel bad for the poor girl having to deal with that! I also had a horrible experience here the other night and cannot even believe I came back after my previous experience. Wish I hadn't!! Only came back because I got stuck with $20 on a laundry card. Long story short, the woman working watched me load all my clothes and load a laundry card... the machine wouldn't start because it was saying they were off for the night. This was around 8:05 and apparently last load was at 8... so basically the woman working watched me load all my things and pay money, without thinking to let me know or offer a friendly reminder that it was last load at 8pm. Since I had to unload the washers and take my dirty 3 loads elsewhere, I asked if I could please have a refund on my card since I didn't intend to come back. Said she couldn't issue a refund but took my info for her manager to call me - two days no call! After that experience AND seeing a naked penis, safe to say I am NEVER coming back here!! read more

Super clean inside. I agree with the person who said that he could drop clothes on the floor and not worry. I really appreciate the fact that you don't have to carry cash with you there (or a giant bag of coins) with one exception: if you want to buy a pop or chips you need cash. This is weird to me. There also isn't tons and tons of seating, but no biggie. I'm a little sad that you have to drop 20 bucks to use the credit card machine there, but I guess the ATM withdrawl to 20 bucks in quarters is about the same deal, just heavier and quarters + clean sock = great impromptu weapon for protecting yourself against sad bar folk found in DIrty Dungarees. No need for that at Blue Bubble, so . . . win? The washers and dryers really are very fast. The prices seem fair. read more

If I'm willing to lug two overflowing baskets of laundry down three flights of stairs, to drive only a few blocks and do laundry....the place better be pretty damn amazing. And well, Blue Bubble is. It is def. worth the extra effort, rather than using the laundry in my complex, that is conveniently located on my floor. Not only can you do massive loads at once, but it's so efficient, everything gets clean! Typically with large loads, residue may be left behind, or clothes aren't as bright...but I've had no problem with Blue Bubble machines! Yes, washing may seem expensive, but the cost of drying is only pennies. But you will have to do it 2-3 times depending on load size. Check your local "groupon" type savers, Blue Bubble typically releases a few. $20min. on credit and they also do dry cleaning! Oh, and if you're super lazy...they'll wash/fold your clothes for you. This is my first experience at a laundromat outside the one at my apt complex in columbus, Super clean inside and the staff is REALLY nice. Washers and dryers are fast - albeit a little more expensive than what i am used to but have a big capacity - so when you take that into consideration the cost might equal out. They have a couple TVs and free wifi. Candy and soda and they take credit cards instead of lugging around coins and cash. The waiting aread could have more comfortable accomodations - the chairs and benches aren't super comfy but other than that no complaints! read more

Never have I been able to get so much laundry done so quickly! I've been in a handful of times now but I didn't realize how awesome the idea of big, fast machines was until yesterday. I just returned from a beach vacation with all of my laundry and my boyfriend's laundry from the trip and some from before we left. I feared I'd be stuck in laundry hell forever. But in just over an hour at Blue Bubble I had all these mass amounts (I'm talking 4 of those popup bags loaded full) washed and dried. If I must state a complaint it is these, there is not enough seating, the place gets pretty darned hot in the afternoon, and their bathroom always seems to be "Out of Service." So, prepare to stand, bring a fan, and potty before you leave your house. read more

Machines leave excessive amount of detergent after rinse cycles. I used the recommended amount of detergent that I bought from them and followed their directions. At 6.49 per load, I should be able to clean my clothes without a second cycle. After talking to the manager he apologized, but still wanted me to pay for a 2nd wash. just went to this laundromat, washed 3 loads of laundry only to realize most of the dryers are broken. starting from the large one by the door, the first 8 (top and bottom) dryers were broken. i spent well over $20 trying to find a working dryer. no attendant, at the time. when she is here she keeps everything very clean, I just with the machines worked. or there was any number to call that worked? the number listed for the buiness is to a local coffee shop and not to the actual laundromat. starting to think the only reason this laundromat is open is from making so much money stealing from customers at washer/ dryer machines. read more

Clothes were stolen right out of the dryer before the cycle was done, meaning only some of the machines lock while they're being used. Someone had it on film of the guy stealing my clothes, and the manager refused to call me back about a refund on my laundry card that I had just loaded before this incident with $20. Honestly no stars. I used to be employed here. I received payments that were below the state minimum wage requirements. In 2019 I was receiving 7 something an hr and $40 taken from my paycheck after receiving below minimum wage for a drier lint key I accidentally forgot in my pocket which also was returned to the business on the date "Gary" the owner requested. This is so unprofessional. Practically slavery in different terms. Also had to wait 3 weeks for my last check because this unprofessional owner wanted me to wait as long as he could make me. He also came off as sexist and would leave me alone for long days beginning my first and second day. I worked n high and Whitehall location under the request with hrs from 9 am to 9pm with no lunch break. This is how the owner treats American citizens truthfully and always avoided me physically by disappearing and having other male employees come in and count money as if I wasn't trust worthy. This is a complete waste of money and for employees a waste of work, energy, time, etc. Especially if you're a female like myself. I avoid the blue bubble laundromat. Very disrespectful and scandalous. The better business bureau wouldn't conduct this place if they knew the activities occuring to the customers and employees. Loads of laundry finished in about two hours...no need for coins as $ bills and credit cards are accepted (min $20, but you don't have to use all at once). This place is really clean and the lady I always see working there is always asking if I need help, even know I don't really need help now that I get the whole system. Yes, they are pricier than some other places, but the machines get the job done rather quickly. I found out about this place when they had a groupon promotion. I tried to redeem the groupon using my iphone but they said it must be the printed groupon. Bad first impression but I have got over it. I use their wash and fold service. At $0.99/lb it is more expensive than some of the other places but not by much and it has been good service so far. They don't have any sort of rewards/loyalty program like some of the other places that give you a free washnfold on every 10th visit. There is a $15 minimum on using credit cards. Their parking lot is really small but next door there is a shopping plaza with a larger lot (but might take a risk getting towed). The hours are consistent and easy to remember 9am-9pm daily. However, I once showed up at 8:50pm to pick up laundry and they were already closed. read more

I had procrastinated doing laundry for nearly a month due to our apartment complex's scary basement laundry arrangement and had about 6 loads of laundry to do. Yikes. The private parking lot got me in there. No way I was finding a meter spot on high and walking with all of that laundry. It is very clean and well kept. The owner is very helpful. I arrived at 7:20 and was getting ready to put my clothes in to wash when the attendant approached me and told me they were closed. Place is really clean. Machines are numerous, new, shiny, easy to use. For self-service, prices really aren't too bad. I used a 50lb machine (about 3-4 loads in most machines, I'd guess) which ran $6.50. it was $0.29 for six minutes on the express dryer, which does seem to finish the job more much quickly than the crappy one at my apartment. When I went (Monday afternoon) it was almost completely empty. There are so many machines, it'd take a massive crowd to not be able to find an open, working washer/dryer. Definitely worth your money if you've got a lot of laundry to do. read more

The usual grumbling, angry day female employee started screaming about a rat (generally she just wanders around and talks to herself, whatever, chase your bliss lady, i don't care), to which some 30+ year old man started salivating. He tried to round up the 3-4 dudes in the place to "get that bitch." Luckily, the rat went out the door (because I am fairly certain his corpse would have been paraded around the room). I spent the next 25 minutes as my clothes dried listening to him tell the entire laundromat loudly about the most effective ways to kill animals. It began with rats, based on circumference, then moved on to larger animals. The last words I heard as I ran out was l, "Man, I love animals." What was once a save haven in the stormy, disgusting seas of Columbus laundromats is now a vomit-inducing, stomach-turning locale. read more

Complete waste of time and money! I took in one suit and five shirts today, it took over 25 minutes for the woman behind the counter to write up the slip and bag/prep my items. After $60+ in fees for this and that she informed me that they would be ready on Thursday afternoon... I can drive from Columbus to LA and back in under five days. Dry cleaning should not take that long and be that expensive, lets hope that my clothes are not returned in horrible condition. Regardless, I will never be returning to Blue Bubble; its definitely not express anything! read more

While the machines are pretty good, unfortunately Blue Bubble has gone totally downhill in terms of service. This is a shame because they used to also be great in this regard. On my last visit, I arrived at exactly 8pm to put in my last load of the day, per the policy, and the employee, who is outside on her phone complaining about her lack of cigarettes, gets totally snippy and lies to me saying that all the machines are off now. While I could understand if they wanted to have a strict last load policy of 8:00:01 being too late, there is absolutely no need for their staff to be rude and unprofessional. I was nothing but polite and she was going off on me, telling me to read the sign, and complaining about me to whoever on the phone with during this whole exchange. I used to come here at least once a week for all of my washing and dry cleaning, but there are plenty of alternatives in the area so I'm taking my business elsewhere. read more

Owners need to be friendlier. They have a problem with talking down to people. Sometimes it's not user error it's actually the machine.

Beware if you are not from the area!!!! This laundry mat only works with a vending card system. Attendant can not give you ones and the card machine only accepts credit cards or bills. I brought 20.00 in quarters only to beg other patrons to exchange my quarters for bills so I wouldn't have to navigate to another laundry mat. No trash cans anywhere! read more

This review is specific to Blue Bubble's dry cleaning only. The facility itself looks very nice and seemed to be a lot of machines but I did not use any. Blue Bubble was convenient because it was close to my place but I will not take my dry cleaning there again. They don't inform you of their policies before taking your items and charging you. No credit cards for transactions less than $15. Dry cleaning is done off-site. Garments are sent on Monday/Thursday so I hope you don't need it ASAP for a job interview or anything... My sport coat/blazer was about $7 for dry cleaning. read more
