(My husband's experience) My son had to suction his own mouth. The X-ray machine wasn't working well at all. They told my son no cavities. Then all of a sudden he had 4 and wanted to charge him over $1,000.00 and they tried pressuring him to do it right then. I asked the dentist to show me the X-rays, he didn't want to do that. Instead! He proceeded to put his UNGLOVED hand in my son's mouth, in the hallway and tried to show me the cavities! I don't know if he just came out of the bathroom or where his hands had been! Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional! After all that, they charged me almost $700.00!!!!! For a cleaning with X-rays. (No insurance) They also did not know how to run my care credit card, so I had to go home and grab another card. They have absolutely no clue what they are doing. Please! Do not trust this place. I ignored it before since we all have bad days but Dr. Stout is not too friendly (hygienists rock and other staff I've interacted with have been fine). I don't know how to describe his demeanor but I guess cold? I canceled my next appointment until I decide if I'm staying or not. I'm either going to move on or maybe see if I can switch to one of the other doctors. Previous Review: I was WOWed from the first visit before even being a patient! They do free cleanings for the community once a year but they made it a fun event and gave top-notch care despite the busyness of getting a lot of people through. The office itself is really nice too, even down to details like landscaping so you have a nice view looking out the window. Well, for when you're not tipped back in the chair but, on my last visit, the chair was giving me a light massage. How cool is that?! The way they do things might be newer but that has been a plus for me (even for something as simple as bite wings not hurting during those yearly x-rays). Just watching their Facebook page, I can tell they do a lot to keep patients involved (like encouraging kids to brush) and they've done some community plus overseas assistance. I think that's fantastic! Oh, and I never feel like they are trying to push any service/product sales down my throat. :)

At the next appointment, that I had gone into thinking I was just having a normal filling appointment, they told me while I was sitting in the chair that they may have to do a root canal on the tooth that they were filling a cavity, but they wouldn't know until they were inside my tooth. They were essentially telling me that my $200 appointment (I did not have dental insurance) could possibly turn into a $3,000 appointment, but they won't know until they are already doing the procedure. I know people who have gotten root canals, and I know that you can tell beforehand if you need one or not. I'm only giving 2 stars because once the hygienist realized I was internally freaking out, she told me that maybe I should just think about it and come back another time. Thanks to her I did not have an unnecessary root canal. I have been to a different dentist several times since then and the word root canal has not once been said to me since.
