I would not recommend Great Lakes Dental based on my experience as a new patient…read more Before scheduling appointments for my son and me, I specifically called to confirm that our insurance was accepted and that our routine cleanings would be covered. I was assured that they were. However, after our visits, we received a bill for more than $300 for services that we believed would be covered by insurance. When I contacted the billing department multiple times to resolve the issue, I was told that the office charges more than what my insurance allows for a cleaning. Had this been explained upfront, I could have made a more informed decision about receiving care there. I was also disappointed with how the billing situation was handled. Despite repeated attempts to discuss the matter, no meaningful resolution was offered. We even received a past-due notice before ever receiving a proper statement outlining the charges. The clinical experience itself was not particularly positive. The hygienist was chewing gum during the appointment and was not especially gentle. My son was given fluoride treatment without anyone discussing it with me beforehand or asking for permission. The office environment also felt dated and less welcoming than other dental practices we have visited locally. Overall, between the unexpected charges, lack of communication regarding costs, billing frustrations, and the quality of the patient experience, this was not a positive experience for our family. I would encourage anyone considering this office to carefully verify all costs in writing before receiving treatment.

We are all "afraid" of the dentist for valid reasons...typically, it hurts and very uncomfortable, but I have great news, it doesn't at Georgetown Dental!! let me explain why. From the moment you walk in the doors you're welcomed by the most friendly staff you'll ever experience. They make you feel like they've known you forever and explain everything in great detail that leads to you actually understanding whats going on. Kelly is so fun and Nichole is very sweet and inviting. From there you're brought back to get your cleaning done by the most gentle hygienists you'll ever have do work on you. My hygienist is Gretchen and she is the sweetest gentlest hygienist I've ever had. We talk and laugh every time I come in for my cleanings which makes me feel very comfortable. I'm not one to floss regularly so when it comes to getting that done it always hurts and leaves my mouth sore but not here. I can't hardly even tell they are flossing because of how careful and gentle they are! when it comes to the scary metal tools that hurt your gums, say goodbye because they use the most advanced technology that replaces the harsh tools and allows you to get even better cleaning done without the pain.
