She's very creative and amazing at her work and bed side behavior she is fun to talk to and a good energy to sit next to for hours. I had her fix some tattoos and we have started my shera masters of the universe arm sleeve. I am neurodivergent and I never felt out of place. I honestly recommend anyone in this woman owned shop, everyone has a good personality, the environment is fun to be in and welcoming. Vicky Stoner @happycampertattos is one of the tattoo artists at Blue Bird Tattoo Studio @bluebirdtattoostudio located in Hanover PA. I have had 7 different artists tattoo me over the years. Some are accomplished artists that have been tattooing for over 20 years. I am honestly saying Vicky Stoner is by far the most amazing tattoo artist I have ever received a tattoo from. I'm hoping all of the rest of my tattoos are from Vicky. Her care and professionalism, in addition to the amazing conversations and stories made 9 hours of tattooing completely enjoyable. First; let me say, I found out I was being transferred and I knew I had an appointment set up for the month of April but I called Vicky and asked if she had any cancellations. Everything happens for a reason. One of her previous clients cancelled and Vicky, with such short notice, was able to switch me to that day. I am so grateful to that client! Vicky, without even a hesitation created an entire piece the night before. I don't know any tattoo artist that would be willing to do that! Second; Vicky literally continued to work through the entire day with minimal breaks (which she attempted to deduct from the charge) because she knew I had to leave. Vicky was such a trooper! She even bought me lunch which was delicious. Finally; Vicky would question me to make sure I was comfortable and not in any pain. She was so attentive while continuing to create an amazing tattoo. She asked if I needed a blanket or a pillow and was so understanding when I needed to me to move or adjust. If you are able to schedule an appointment to receive a tattoo created and completed by Vicky you are going to have a piece of art that everyone is going to ask you about! I have had the pleasure of visiting Blue Bird for both piercings and a tattoo! In November of 2023, Vicky drew up and tattooed the cutest little creation to celebrate my passion for baking. It healed so beautifully, the colors stayed nice and pigmented. I'm blown away by Vicky's fine line and small lettering work, she did an amazing job and was so so sweet and fun to work with! In January of 2024, Jill re-did my nostril and second lobe piercings that I originally had done in college. She was so gentle and SO thorough. She explained every single detail of what she was doing and why, being sure to advise and explain about any potential allergens. I could not be happier with how the piercings turned out and I'm excited to get through the healing process! Let me first start off by saying if you're looking for a CLEAN, chill, super fun, eclectic , fun and friendly atmosphere to get your tattoos, piercings or gifts for the art collective than Blue Bird Tattoo Studio is for you! I have been following Missi Blue's work for YEARS and have always admired and adored her art and dreamt than when I was ready for a tattoo that she'd be the one to do it. Well fast forward a few years, I finally decided on something I wanted (a full wood land animal sleeve at that) and sent Missi a request on booking day and she chose to tattoo me and let me tell you, WHAT AN HONOR! I'm still in process of finishing up the sleeve and I couldn't in my wildest dreams have come up with a drawing as perfect as what she came up for me. I told her my idea and she completely ran with it and exceeded expectations and than some. I talked to her some about her process and if you're looking for an artist who truly puts forth her best work, Missi is the person for you. She research's every piece even if she is relatively knowledgeable on the animal / subject she's tattooing she still does research and that makes me respect her even more. I can't wait to finish my sleeve as I get so many compliments every time I'm out. And I always tell them who's the best in the biz. I don't have much experience with her other artists there but from the work I've seen they are equally as amazing and really bring a wonderful vibe to the team! Now, let me move on to the admin staff. Vicky and Becca are so much fun and two is the nicest gals you've ever met. They both have bright and infectious smiles, are not only incredibly kind and compassionate but are just so personable and feel like an old friend you've known your entire life. To them, they are working a job but also a part of a family. You can truly tell they enjoy what they do and where they work. And that makes a complete difference in the customer service world. Now onto Jill aka Piercings by Stitcher, she is so super sweet, fun and is super knowledgeable about her profession. It's very quite clear based upon my own personal experience that unlike other "professional piercers" Jill WILL NOT pierce you if she does not think you have the appropriate anatomy. For example, years ago I went to another shop to get my belly button done. They just went ahead and pierced me and used a hoop at that, not a barbell like you're supposed too and it ended up rejecting really bad and they essentially pierced my actual stomach. It was so incredibly painful and now I have an awful keloid scar. I asked Jill if she could redo it and she said told me that the people that pierced me should've been honest and tell me that my anatomy wouldn't have held up. I just didn't have the little flap of skin that one needs for a navel piercing. And she said she would not Re pierce it and where she could've easily lied and taken my money and pierced me like the last people did, she didn't because she genuinely cares about her customers and I respect her immensely for that. I've been pierced 3X now by Jill and she's amazing. She's also fun and bubbly and a total light this world needs. The other amazing part, she is by walk in appointments only! So no appointment needed!! Lastly, the art collective. If you're not someone who doesn't like and/or want tattoos but love supporting small local businesses you HAVE to check out all the cute things they have in the shop! From apparel, to all sorts of different types of jewelry, to health and wellness supplies, stickers for your water bottle, cross stitch Pieces, crystals & minerals etc! There is literally something for everyone there! Stop by one day to check things out for yourself! Or if you're wanting a tattoo, keep your eyes peeled for when the next booking day is and put in an a request form. You won't be sorry!
