Very impressed with this business. My Carne steak taco and El Pastor Pork tacos were absolutely delicious. The gratis Chips and Salsa were quite tasty in their own right and what can I say about my Lime Margarita. It was quite large, well made, quite tasty and went down so well with my Taco's and Chips. This drink has a nice amount of Blanco Tequila in it (1.5 oz's) and has an overweight amount of orange liquor and Lime juice that is quite flavorful but overpowers the agave notes of the tequila which was different than what I am used too but I still enjoyed it and was a nice change up to what I normally drink. Staff was super friendly with prompt service and great follow up throughout. I literally got my chips and salsa within a minute of sitting down which is quite impressive. The restaurant itself is visually very appealing where it has nice Mexican decor throughout, adding a lot to the overall dining experience and a great view of the bar which also is visually quite nice. Overall I was quite pleased with my initial dining experience here where the taco's in particular were some off the best I have had in the Metro Detroit area. Even if you dont live in the area, which I don't, you should consider this restaurant the next time you are in the area or headed to Metro Airport which is 5 minutes away. When we got here the parking lot was empty and when we walked and there were only 2 people in there, usually when there isn't many people in a restaurant on a Saturday night then it leads me to believe that it isn't as good as it seems to be, I really didn't have high hopes for this place but I still wanted to try it. The staff was very helpful with taking our order. We ordered drinks and they brought out the Chips & Salsa, the chips were nice & crispy and the salsa was pretty good. I ordered a Malibu Bay Breeze cocktail which was very delicious and it definitely tasted tropical. My wife had the Agave Margarita which was huge in size and it was very good as well, the tequila wasn't over bearing. We then ordered guacamole as an appetizer and then ordered our main course, I had the Enchilada Dinner and the wife had the Wet Burrito Dinner, when the food came out the presentation alone was very impressive, now the food itself, My enchiladas Beans and rice were all AMAZING. It had tons of flavor and many options for hot sauces, the meat was tender and the sauces on everything were very good, it was a very fulfilling dinner, it was so much I had to bring some home cause I couldn't eat it all. Literally the most authentic mexican food in Taylor/dearborn area ! So if ur not used to real mexican food please come here with an open mind and try it ! Service is great ! We had their quesadillas , tacos, ceviche and torta ! Everything tasted fresh. They have an only weekend menu portion which is so worth it ! Tacos dorados (fried tacos with pork beef inside ) menudo, carnitas and pozole ! They told us the liquor license is in process !! Yay! We been here twice and food was never a disappointment! Oh yea, this authentic Mexican food. I had two Birria tacos which were absolutely amazing 10/10! Service was quick, I had chips and salsa seconds after I chose my seat. I had a Paloma 10/10 it did not have the chamoy or tajin on the rim but it did not matter. I also had a margarita flight which was just as good 10/10 the Blue agave was my favorite . Food is always great, service is a little wishy washy. Sometimes they are very attentive and helpful and other times I'm met with attitude. I live around the corner and stopped visiting as often because of it. Also their hours aren't accurate which causes confused on when they are actually open. Good restaurant with great opportunities: Recently we went for dinner in Taylor at the Blue Agave, which is a beautifully decorated Mexican restaurant. The walls are artfully updated with latino decor, subtle desert colors and a clean beautiful bar. However, the ceiling lighting had bright white led lamp lights which threw off the atmosphere into more of a cafeteria feeling, instead what was intended with the warm lighting from the wall sconces. It may make it easier for staff to see, but having warmer led lighting in the ceiling would better serve the customers. The menu was listed with authentic Mexican dishes, so we were excited to try it out. But we noticed a "combination plate" was missing and not available where you could sample multiple items. It may be easier for the cooks to not have a combo option, but it's a normal feature for customers so we can try a little of everything. Of the few things we tasted, it all seemed fresh made with good ingredients. I especially liked the guacamole, tortillas and pico de gallo. But there's seemed to be a fear of raising the spice and flavor levels on some of the dishes. The carnitas seemed dry, and the spicy salsa from the chips even needed more hot sauce that I added. The service seemed challenged as well. Our food came to us exactly as we had ordered. However, I think the take-out orders being called in delayed the priority of our dinner in the evening, so we waited a while. Although very friendly, the servers were missing basic steps of service. They didn't have pitchers available to refill waters. Our dishes never got cleared. For some reason the tables had fastfood takeaway numbers on them. Instead of anticipating our needs, we were consistently asked if there is anything else. I would still come again to try other dishes out. But I would be concerned with bringing a larger party in for celebrating a birthday or having a romantic date out here. There's hope and opportunities for this little piece of Mexico in Taylor to do better. Maybe being just a good Mexican takeout place is ok. But perhaps with some managers on site, basic steps of service training, and continuing to QA the dishes for increasing the yumminess factor, this good restaurant could become great! Giving it one star is too much I am a server and with that being said I definitely give Grace! But here I could not give any Grace because I tried and tried for over 2 hours and then I had enough the wait staff is rude unorganized it's clear that nobody knows what they're doing I watched them talk and make it obvious that they didn't know what they were doing and I know Cinco de Mayo and it's busy but that's no excuse for being rude no excuse for getting drinks with no straws begging for 40 minutes for straws then finally get an order taken and then when we finally got the appetizer over an hour since we've been there it came with no chips so we couldn't eat it and we definitely couldn't eat it because we still haven't received any silverware which it was flaming cheese so it has to be eaten hot I'm not going to eat hard crusty cheese do you still have no excuse for that but what really made the experience horrible was the server remind you only came to our table to throw the drinks down never give us the time or day came back 40 minutes later to get our order with an attitude I have never walked out of a restaurant in my life but today I did but I just didn't walk out and stiff the bill cuz that's not me it was your guys's choice when we were upset at the kind of service we were receiving to not have us pay but we only had drinks and appetizer we couldn't even eat anyway mind you like I said it's Cinco de Mayo and it's busy but I went right down the street to another Mexican restaurant they were all so busy we were greeted promptly our server was polite actually she was wonderful we got a great experience on our Cinco de Mayo at the other restaurant so I don't want to hear it's because you're busy lot of places have been busy my restaurant has been busy but we've never be able to act like that! read more

Wasn't sure what to expect here because it is a new restaurant. Boy was I wrong! This place is Excellent Mexican Food. I've gone to many different Mexican Restaurants all over and this one is my top 3. The Server (owner's son) was a young man who was very respectful and courteous along with his coworker (girl), The food (came out hot and flavorful) and the restaurant is very clean including the bathroom. We happened upon this place by accident. I'm happy we did. The restaurant is really decorated nicely. It is very clean inside. The service was excellent. Our server checked up on us quite frequently. But the food was the best part! I had the chicken fajitas. First of all, they were enormous! You could definitely share this. You can get it with cheese and I suggest it.
