The ambiance of this place is super warm and welcoming with soft music, string lights, and cozy decor. It is a small store and there is a decent variety of crystals- not extensive but not limited either. They have other things like body butter, tea, prayer supplies, incense, etc. Some of the prices were a bit high compared to Rocky's Crystals which is only a 5 minute walk away. They also have a small separate room that looks like it's for readings/classes. Overall cute ambiance but I personally didn't end up seeing something I wanted to buy. read more

The co-owners are lovely and the nicest around. I always look forward to visiting them! I don't believe any reviewer saying that anyone at this shop is "homophobic" or "misogynistic" is being honest with their stories or reviews. In ALL the years Blu Lotus has been opened I have NEVER heard of such outlandish remarks. I have only heard of great things and fabulous feedback amongst the community. These 2 are the nicest shop owners not only on church street, but maybe even Montclair. In my and my friends experience they are always honest, helpful and respectful, we love Blu Lotus!! 1st time: Welcoming with ambient music in background. Impressed with the quality of stones. Not fugazies! Polished nice sizes to work with. Lots of metaphysic Stones and eye candy to choose from. Made a list To see if "Joe" could do me a solid. Tapestries are Nice. Statues are incredible!! 2nd time: "Joe" did me a solid!! Got the stones I was looking For. Top quality no imperfections or Fugazies!! So glad that I found this little gem. From now on I buy from Joe... Store is in a good location next to A diner which is cool to get a bite and check out what You just bought. Next time picking up my 2nd pair Of stones and who knows what else. I ruptured my Achille's tendon, and had been in rehab and then out-patient therapy. Now I am walking with a cane, but still have significant pain. Toby has "magic hands" , and is always able to alleviate my pain and elevate my quality of life. I need a "fix" of Toby's hands once a week, and treasure that time as my most important "meeting" of the week. The ambiance of soft music, heated sheets, Himalayan salt lamps, and aroma therapy oils make it an unforgettable experience every time. I am hooked on the feeling of experiencing a bit of Heaven on Earth at the Blu Lotus! There is a store upstairs run by Joe, with amazing spiritual merchandise...(crystals, stones, oils, jewelry, candles, etc.) Craig is a psychic who has a cozy room in the rear of the store, and he is often booked solid because he has a huge following. They also have classes..something for everyone. I am looking forward to attending some of them soon! read more

Yesterday was the second time that I've been to Blu Lotus. The first visit was a few weeks ago, and I was impressed by the selection, the prices, and their delicious handmade soaps. They have a great selection of high quality incenses, crystals, statuary, and more. I mentioned to the owners of the boutique that I was looking for a nice cast iron cauldron, and they told me they'd order one for me and took my number down. A few weeks have gone by, but yesterday I walked into the shop again to look for resin incense. I didn't call first, since I was just browsing to see what was available. Not only did they have the exact incense I wanted, but my cauldron had arrived earlier that same day. No need for a phone call or a text -- I was simply drawn there when my cauldron arrived, and it was exactly what I was looking for. What a delightful twist of fate! It came so much earlier than I expected. This place has great vibes all around, and it feels special. The owners are friendly and helpful, and their eclectic tastes shows in their diverse merchandise and high standard of quality. I'd recommend it to anyone who is interested in exploring their spirituality, looking for metaphysical tools, or who just want to smell great! read more

Not only is the inside/storefront of Blu Lotus beautiful, but the employees who helped me out today are amazing! One of the employees (could have been an owner) (taller man with glasses) blew me away with how knowledgeable and approachable he was when assisting me today! I came in to find crystals that would help a loved one struggling with their anxiety at work, and he knew exactly which crystals to point me towards! Not only did he tell me a series of crystals to choose from, he asked more context about the person I was looking for to help me narrow it down! I 1000% plan on coming back to visit Blu Lotus in the near future after an experience like this! I love this store. I've purchased so many things there from crystals to salt lamps, incense to essential oils, and usually people are so nice. Today, however, though the general experience wasn't horrible and we did buy several items I found the person who attended to us seemed a little suspicious that we might take something, when I brought three oils to pay he thought I was smelling the and chastised me for it, when I asked for the card that identifies the little angel I was also purchasing he said they didn't have any. I pointed out that the very nice younger gentleman has just shown me the stack and said one was always included with the purchase and it was literally where his hand was resting -- then he found it. Finally we paid cash and one of the coins was a dollar coin and it seemed he was quite concerned it might be a chuckee cheese coin or something because he inspected it as nauseum adding to the overall sense that he really was suspicious. Now I could be wrong but that was my sense. So yeah nothing terrible happened and I love the store but the person I dealt with left me a bit sour. The young guy was super sweet though. Amazon might have to get my business since pretty much everything I buy there is to support local business and not because his prices are good. read more
