(I was talking to the man on the phone as i was standing outside of the door looking in!!) He was rude and didnt care that technically according to the website and hours posted on thier door - i still had 10 mi before they were supposed to be closing. I dont understand how a buisness can totally ignore there supposed hours of operation and make up whatever time they feel like closing. Also the man was so so so rude and literally didnt care that i was right outside his door talking to him. I wouldnt recommend doing any business with them at all.

Enough already.** And now they are name-calling and sending nasty messages. How about instead of that, they look at their information and admit they short changed me and make it right! Silver was higher when I sold to them the last time, and I got less per ounce than the time before!!! They are only worried about their reputation and don't seem to care about cheating a customer. Nice.

I don't ever write reviews on YELP, but I felt that others should know how GREAT my experience was…read moreat NEW LIBERTY. I do not frequent pawn shops, but my identity was stolen and all of my accounts were frozen for about 3 weeks. I needed CASH IMMEDIATELY. I went to a few other shops before I found NEW LIBERTY and they took advantage of me because I was desperate. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. IF YOU GO ANYWHERE OTHER THAN NEW LIBERTY, YOU WILL BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. This is the ONLY Pawn Shop to go to in NYC. Roni is a stand up guy. Whether you are looking to SELL your items or PAWN them, you have to be careful with other shops. They are not looking to form long term relationships. Rather, they prey on the needy and will take advantage of you when you need help the most. If you are LOOKING TO SELL...Roni will give you TOP DOLLAR compared to anyone else. His quotes were 20%-30% HIGHER than his competitors. Not only will you get MORE MONEY, but you will also feel COMFORTABLE. He will not pressure you to sell anything and he always has your best interest in mind. No, you are not going to get retail prices, but he will show you what the retail price is and then give you a quote that all parties are happy with! If you are LOOKING TO PAWN...again, you ARE going to get TOP DOLLAR. Most likely 20%-30% MORE than other shops. He also gives one month, NO INTEREST, for new clients. I have had terrible experiences at other stores where items go missing, are not in the same condition as I left them, or take 30 minutes to find. When you come back to New Liberty to get your property, you will be in and out in two minutes and everything will be in the same condition as you left it. Roni will talk to you like he's known you for years and you will be on your way, smiling, as you walk out. Thanks Roni for the exceptional experience! If I ever come across tough times again, this will be THE ONLY place that I go. I cannot thank you enough for helping me out! I hope that other people read this review and decide to use NEW LIBERTY instead of the other crooks that prey on those in need. -Tyler
