The zucchini cakes bowl. There's some truly yummy quinoa under all those super fresh veggies! July 2026
Jennifer B.

The UTC area has just about everything, from shopping to dining to Mote Marine. Now add a heavenly slice of Greece to that mix. Blu Kouzina is a full-on Mediterranean muse... with a light, bright, modern slant of Greek islands decor and a sophisticated but approachable menu. It's not cheap and that's okay, when the food is good-which it is (and inventive). AND there's a happy hour that I'll definitely come back for. The dining room is large but pleasant and inviting and well laid out. The white tablecloths are a nice touch-and we did our best not to spill. The martini/cocktail menu was fun and creative. They were in the $15-$18 range, but I think you can get them for $8 during happy hour. We had to order the saganaki. Instead of it being set on fire tableside like many Greek places, it arrived on a cast iron skillet-beautifully melted and still sizzling, with fig jam on top. The presentation was marvelous and refined-and the cheese was divine. We ordered pita to go with it but you wouldn't have to. For my main, I had the Cretan Harvest lunch bowl-with the zucchini cakes and so many yummy other ingredients. (quinoa, cucumber, radishes, some amazing whipped feta, etc). It was super flavorful, very refreshing, so filling but so healthy-and it was $20 on the lunch specials menu (July 2026). My sweet server backed my decision when I told her I was considering it-and we were right. It was so tasty and I took the leftovers home-and got two more meals out of it. This was such a happy find. There are so many more things on the menu I want to try. It's elevated but not at all stuffy. I look forward to going back and trying some oven cooked items. The restaurant is easy to find-in the UTC collection, just west of the main mall-with lots of parking. There's outside dining-tables and couches, around the building. The bar is beautiful and the sound of cocktail shakers is hypnotic. Opa, Blu Kouzina!

Very solid place to get modern Greek and Mediterranean food in Sarasota! Really love the overall ambiance of the restaurant, with both the indoor and outdoor seating. The food was really solid. I was very surprised and impressed by the portion sizes. I got the moussaka and it was gigantic! Super filling and enough for 2 meals! Really good balance of flavors between the meat sauce, the eggplants, potatoes, and the cream sauce. Service can be a little slow at times when the place is busy. I do wish the outdoor area had a little better lighting. It got a little hard to see once the sun went down. But overall, still a good place to visit :)

Amazing Greek food. Everything here is flavorful and fresh. My first time at this location and the restaurant is beautiful. Connor is the man! He has amazing table side skills. Back to the good. The dips were so good especially the spicy feta. The grilled Squid was exceptional! Also the grilled sardines are a treat. I will be back.

Great location and food was good. Service was great! Beautiful restaurant! Hubby really liked the ground lamb wrap and the jasmine rice was great. My roasted potatoes were delicious but my chicken wrap was very dry. The chicken seemed to be over cooked. We really liked the Avgolemono soup!

Delish is the first word that comes to mind!perfect Presentation the next! Yum

I'm in love with this adorable spot. Great food, amazing service and the atmosphere is designed beautifully. A great addition to UTC!

We started with the trio dips-yellow lentils, hummus, & Tzatziki. I had the zucchini patties and spanakopita while Michelle had the white bean soup and spicy dip. Everything was delicious and the interior definitely had you feeling like you were on a Greek island-food came out very quickly and the service was friendly and helpful.

Greek Salad - $20 - very good

Enjoyed dinner here with 24 women on a Wednesday night. We were sat at 2 long tables by the outdoors so it was nice to dine in while having open outdoor space next to us. They offer HH but I didn't get a chance to see the menu other than it's from 3-6. We were given filtered tap water in bottles on our tables & rolls with a great olive oil dipping sauce. The rolls were terrible & not worth the carbs. Wish they would have served pita instead. They offer specials which were quite high in price & on their regular menu, they have a great variety of salads, apps, wraps, & entrees. I opted for the classic Greek salad. It was good. My friend got the roast chicken entree & absolutely loved it. The meat fell off the bone easily. Other women by me really enjoyed the chicken wrap, steak wrap, & spanakopita. I walked by someone enjoying what looked like a lamb shank & it looked great! However, those astronomical prices for the entree's prevented me from ordering them. Service was fantastic & the atmosphere is beautiful! Go check it out!

Hubby and I decided to pop up at the Blu Kouzina for late dinner. The experience was great. The food was delicious! The kitchen manager came out to talk to us to make sure they did a great job. The decor is beautiful! I love the pink tree. It gave me some inspiration for my house.

Daily special: Veal chop with salad.

Luka and Heather were amazing servers. So friendly and helpful in ordering a fabulous dinner for 7 for a lovely friend's birthday dinner. The food was spectacular and we enjoyed all the appetizers and dinner. This is the perfect place for a group dinner, highly recommend.

Love Blu, their ambiance, and love the servers. We have sat outside and inside. Fun to people watch outside. It is a bit pricey.

Food was mediocre and the server kept messing up. It wasn't busy either. Not worth the money.

We all basically got various versions of chicken souvlaki. I got the horiatiki salad with souvlaki chicken. It was very flavorful and I loved all the veggies and olives plus delicious feta. My SIL and husband had the two versions of the souvlaki platter which they enjoyed. The chicken was very tender. My SIL didn't really care for the fries. My husband didn't like the vegetables being on top of the Greek potatoes that weren't very good. The primary issue was the woman who waited on us. We were seated a few minutes after we arrived. Unfortunately, we were not given menus which was frustrating and instead of the woman owning it herself, she blamed it on the new guy. We ordered and it took a while to get our food and the restaurant wasn't that busy. The woman kept complaining about various things and I assume most people could hear. Not really the vibe you want when trying to enjoy a meal with family you don't get to see very often. It also took a while to get the check and to go boxes. Everyone has a bad day and the holidays are stressful times. I hope it was just a one off.

A nice, tucked away Greek restaurant…read more My wife and I dined (for the first time) at Stella's this past Sunday evening, Aug. 16. Our reservation was for 6:30pm. When we walked in, we immediately noticed it was unusually warm it was. We were seated in a corner and given menus by the manager. I inquired if their AC was out. He told me it was not, and that the unuausal heat was due to the temporary removal of their awning over the door, which was letting miore light (and heat in ) than normal, and that it would start getting cooler very soon. I had my doubts about this claim, as the sun was aready fairly low on the horizon, but we decided to stick it out. However, as time ticked by, and the kitchen became more and more active, the hotter it became. Eventually, the heat became so uncomfortable (I wold guess abut 80 degrees), that we decided to pack up our meals and leave. Outside it was refreshingly cooler. But onto the food and service. We ordered the dolmades as an appetizer. They were small, bland, and were otherwise nothing to write home about. We also decided to split the Greek Salad. It was excellent! My wife ordered the chicken. She said it was very tasty. I ordered the lamb chops. However, when our food arrived, I was served some pork skewers. instead. When I brought this to the waiter's attention, he apologized, and departed with the pork skewers. It appears that the waiter simply screwed up the order, because when it eventually did arrive (15-20 miutes later), my wife had already eaten most of her food. I wolfed down 3 of the lamb chops (which were quite good), had the remainder of our food packed up (because of the heat), and departed. Food-wise, it was an oveall solid B. Service was a C-. Most notable about the occasion, however, was the horrible heat. We were seated in a corner, which was the fartherst away from any of the fans and AC vents. However, that (in my opinion) doesn't come close to explaining the magnitude of the problem. Three possibilities exist in my book: (1) the manager was lying about the AC being operational; (2) the manager/owner had increased the thermostat to reduce his electrical expenses; and/or (3) the AC compressor was out and/or the coolant was gone. In order to truly enjoy any meal, the temperature must be a comfortable one. Our experience was the antithesis of comfortable, and so while the food was generally good, it was not so outstanding as to merit our returning again and risking the possibility of yet another insufferably "hot" experience. Time to cool my jets.
