On their website it kept saying to Facebook message for an appointment only (first of all.. what??). So I did. Someone called me very soon after that and when I asked her if they possibly had any appts on Sunday her response was "well we usually don't come in on Sundays... Okay. So I made an appointment for the next Sunday! An hour and 20 minutes before my appt the stylist texted me saying she was sick and couldn't come in. Also that no other stylists responded to her to take over my appointment. She asked if I wanted to reschedule and I told her no. Never texted back and no one called again after that. On May 16, I was in town from Northern MN for a family wedding. I decided to treat myself to a…read moremanicure. Now, I have not had a manicure at least since before the pandemic. After doing some Internet research, I decided to book an appointment with SahLan Nails and Spa. I was greeted by a very nice receptionist and she showed me where I needed to put my shoes and to put on sandals they provided as they wanted to keep the main part of the salon really clean. She showed me my options for nail color. Now for someone who has not been in a nail salon for years, it was extremely overwhelming and unbelievable. Tiffany P was my manicurist and I have to say my experience, hands-down, was the best I have ever had. Tiffany heard me talking with the receptionist about OPI and we decided on a lovely bright red. Tiffany explained to me the difference between a manicure I would normally get and a gel manicure. Tiffany told me that when I walked out of the salon, my nails would be completely dry. I was sold on trying a gel manicure! The spa music was relaxing and Tiffany was so nice, outgoing and friendly. She was professional and performed her magic doing my manicure. It was like a miracle! It was hard for me to believe my nails would be dry but Tiffany made a believer out of me. It is now June 1, my nails look as beautiful as the day I left the salon other than they have grown out. My family is getting tired of me telling them how beautiful my manicure looks. If only I lived in Eau Claire, I would be going back to Tiffany, as Tiffany calls it: maintenance not luxury! I highly recommend SahLan Nails and Tiffany! Next week, I head to Lincoln, NE for another wedding, another manicure at a "new to me" salon. I hope I receive the same professionalism, experience, and service as I did at SahLan Nails.
