They 100% refused to refund for not providing a service they lied to me about and they took advantage of me! Stating it's because I signed up online. I don't see how that matters when they clearly lied to me about the service promising something they did not fulfill. I do NOT recommend this place. I booked a blowout with wash for my courthouse wedding. I am a super low-maintenance girl, and I wanted to keep my hair understated and fuss-free since there would be a photographer. I am from out of town and wasn't able to do a trial with a salon in Fargo, so I chose to go with the only blow dry bar in town. I thought, this is their specialty, I've had perfect blowouts at every other blow dry bar I've been to, this is fool-proof. How wrong I was. To be fair. The salon is absolutely immaculate and beautiful. This is the reason for my two stars. I asked for a standard blow out style, volume at the roots, really soft, with curl at the ends. I'll note that she didn't use any heat protectant, and consistently got the round brush tangled in my hair. I ended up really disappointed with the results. My hair was super flat and so heavy with product to the point that my hair felt dirty. I mentioned that I wasn't happy with how flat it was, and the stylist backcombed it into a weird shape. Seeing how much worse it got when I gave feedback, it became clear that things were not going to get better and I was running out of time to get ready for my wedding. I resolved to touch base with the salon next week, paid, left, went to my hotel, washed, dried, and re-styled my hair. I had a ton of breakage - I've never seen my hair do that. The salon doesn't have an email address, so I reached out through Facebook and included the attached photo. I explained that I wasn't happy with the service, and wanted to talk about it. Someone responded with a person and number to contact. When I called, the person talked over me the entire time. When I described what I'd asked for and asked if that is what she saw in the photo, she replied, "I am out of words". Some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. They refused to refund the service, and clearly saw no issue with what had happened. I'd read bad reviews for this place, but I thought, "these people are probably being hysterical and have impossible standards" - you see a few of those for every business on Yelp. Beware of their cancellation policy. This was never pointed out to me and when I didn't show up due to an emergency (I was en route to the salon when I got the call) my credit card was charged for me not showing me up. I was charged $150 for nothing. I am 100% upset at the fest that my cc was saved from a previous service for them to use at their will and without consent from the card holder. This is a very shady practice. This salon is mediocre at best and with their questionable business practices and below par service I will never return nor recommend. I wonder if my credit card will be used again in the future as I have. I recourse for them to remove it from their file. read more

If I could leave ZERO stars I absolutely would. I was in on Saturday August 3rd to have my hair done for a wedding. I had booked a "blow out and braid" for $55 online and received confirmation on the 1st with those same instructions. I went in, and only sat in the chair for about 45 minutes. I didn't have my hair washed, or blow dried as I should have. The gal didn't even do the style I had shown. Anyways, when I was charged $80 something didn't add up. The owner than started denying that we had booked the blowout and braid despite showing her my proof of the email confirmation. She treated the other two bridesmaids I was with the same, saying that they also were being charged for an "upstyle". After asking us for a refund and confirming the MOH had only paid $55 for the same exact booking the owner said she would refund the three of us $20, and also told the MOH she would refund us that as well. Today, Monday, when I called the owner again to ask for an emailed receipt of my refund, she said she could really only do $10 otherwise she would be losing money. She continued to talk over me, argue with me and said she shouldn't even have to refund us. She then proceeded to tell me she really should recharge the MOH for the $80. I mentioned we all could've done our own hair with the curls and braids they did ourselves and she responded with "well than you should have". I have been treated so bad in an establishment, let alone by the owner themselves. Save your money and take it elsewhere! read more

I would give Blow 0 stars. I booked my wedding party appointment back in April for my December wedding and never signed a contract. I was told to pay half the balance at this time which I did. I had my trial in October for which I paid $160 for and loved my stylist and she did the perfect hair and make up. Then one week before my wedding in December Blow decided to let that stylist go and therefore I did not want to have my wedding party or myself have services with Blow since the stylist that did my trial was no longer there. We cancelled over a week in advance and Blow chose not to give us a full refund or even half of our money back (I should also mention I went ahead and payed the remaining balance 2 weeks before our wedding just so I wouldn't have to stress about it the week of my wedding---not because I had to). We tried asking for a full refund but Blow refused. I am posting this because I would never want anyone to have to go through this for there own wedding. Such a horrible experience and neither me or my bridesmaids would recommend Blow. read more

I was in a wedding where Blow was supposed to do our hair/makeup. The appointments were booked back in April for a December wedding. They made us put down a 50% deposit which is understandable to secure the spots. They said we did not need to pay the remaining until the day of. We decided to pay the remaining the first week of December to have one less thing to do the day of the wedding. In the meantime the brides stylist who she had her trial with and loved was let go a week before the wedding was about to take place. We ended up having the stylist still do the hair but just not with blow to make sure the bride loved her hair just as much on her trial dat. We tried getting a refund back from blow even 50% that was not even required to pay until the day off and they refused. I think this is horrible to treat your "clients" like this when they weren't even supposed to have the money in the first place. Sounds like they are money hungry owners and don't care about their reputation. read more
