Once I asked a question to Doris she wants to be trying to ridicule me in front of the class. If you don't want this job, don't do it! Then after that, she saw me upset and tried to talk to path of "God forgives" at the end of class to everyone. Your religion doesn't make me forgive you haha. You're a nurse, not a pastor. Blossom CNA is a great place for those looking to get started in a nursing career. I'm grateful for the owner/primary teacher, Doris, who was friendly, helpful, and motivating throughout the entire two week class. She has a very auntie-like personality, and I felt like a part of the family. If you aren't used to a personable teacher like her, you may feel like she's too dominant. My advice is to not feel discouraged when Doris offers feedback; the CNA exam requires an insane amount of precision, so her comments are always said with that in mind. Amazing school for anyone looking too become a CNA. I had passed both of my state tests first try. The videos they give you are well in detail and vividly explained everything. I took my class in person and on the weekdays and enjoyed every second. The teachers are both great at what they do and the school may be small but it gets it done. This class- (June,2022) was excellent-- The instructors, Ms. Jerry and Ms. Doris were incredibly knowledgeable and articulate. I loved the fact that even though I was in a class with other people, the actual physical space was private, quiet and very conducive to learning. The best CNA school you can find. The price is very reasonable and it's lower than the other schools that I could find. The length of the program is short - 3 weeks, whereas others sometimes take about a month. Instructor are very very nice, and funny. Doris the director is also very funny and nice, she makes sure that you know everything that you need to know before you go to clinicals and have to take the state exam. After you have finished taking the classes, she allows you to go back to the school to practice so that you would be prepared for the exam. read more

I am very happy that i chose blossom in kent for my CNA training. I was very shy but i made friends while learning a lot.the facility is very clean and organized. Don't waste your time! Because they will waste it for you. Had paid a registration fee at the Kent location, went back to pay another deposit and the site was closed down. They had a fire and was indefinitely closed, no phone call out to those who registered. Long story short: They have poor record keeping, they will cash your check quick and without having any backup plan Incase of a fire. They will cancel and change scheduled classes with little to no notice. They are giving me a refund. I will not be taking any courses here. I do not recommend anyone coming here. They have no respect for you as a person or your time. read more

Pros: Weekend class availability, less than $800, Instructor John! Cons: Everything else. I enrolled at Blossom Nursing Assistant Training School because they offered weekend course and I work full time during the week. Every class included in something going wrong. More times than not, we were outside waiting for an instructor to come and open up. (John, one of the instructors, was the only instructor on time and ready to go at the beginning of every class and clinical - We appreciate John!!) The schedule was changed after payment of the course, which added on a Friday class which most of the students weren't able to do. We were required last minute to change our schedules to be there as it was mandatory. Clinicals were in Federal Way because Blossom students were no longer welcome at the Lakewood and Tacoma long term card facilities. We were not notified what day our CPR class would be held until it was that day and lunch time comes and the instructor said we would be staying 4 hours after class ended to get it done. Since there was no warning, dinner wasn't packed, childcare wasn't handled - it was very unorganized and rude. The owner said that the state testing would be held at our facility (Lakewood location) so my classmates and I put down a deposit to secure our spots and then the location changed. This required myself and others to come an additional weekend to familiarize ourselves with the Kent location in order to be more successful during our test. This business just needs to work out its kinks and be respectful of the students. We respected the Blossom building, materials and instructors' time, why wasn't ours kept in mind when all these changes were made? read more

If I am being honest I liked the class at first. Until everything fell apart.... blossom is extremely unprofessional and unorganized. People in my class did not even get their books which is included in their Tuition until the last the second week of class .. keep in mind this is the last week we are actually in class and no longer need the book for tests. The second week of class before clinicals they just realized that the lakewood class had more than 12 people... we indeed had 23 people... with that being said no one knew where they were going until the last day of class. People have jobs and families and they were completely unprepared. The employees had no communication with eachother at all. Everyday was a new problem. This caused us to be off schedule then they made us come in early or after class to finish the course that they got all messed up. A friend of mine in the class had paid over 720$ to have her bp cuff and sethoscope and scrubs to be provided ... which she didn't get until the last day of class the weekend before clinicals on Monday. When I complained about the professionalism Dorris yelled at me in front of the school. She was rude and unprofessional. I asked for a refund and then that's when she changed her tone and tried to work with me. I would not recommend this school to anyone!!! This school prepares you to pass the State Exam as well as being an excellent CNA in the real world. Classes go by fast, I took the 3 week course. Ashley is the best! She was very helpful, easy to talk to, & very professional! She made sure we were on top of everything & she just had an amazing attitude that welcomes you to the school. The only advice I would have to give future students who is interested in taking the class is to not take anything personal. The instructor Dorris can be a little rough around the edges but remember what you came there to do. I don't have an issue with the instructor but I felt that maybe she should treat everyone equally & just as how she would like to be treated. There was a time when I asked her the same question twice only because me & the other classmates were still confused. She embarassed me in front of everyone in class & it was very mean what she said. Noone else had the gusts to ask her the question in the first place & certainly not a second time but my classmates & I were still confused thats why I wanted to clarify it one more time. She said out loud to everyone in class that I was making her blood pressure go up & refused to answer or clarify it. I just didn't say anything after that, thought she might be going through personal problems of her own. After that it just felt like I couldn't ask her anymore questions because I was afraid of being yelled at again. Im a student, I paid just like everyone did & it was really not fair how I saw how nicely she responded to other people. I feel like every student should be able to ask their teacher a question & not feel like their going to be embarassed, or get yelled at, or mistreated in front of their very own classmates. It didn't end there as well, just be strong. So I would of gave this a 5 star but I wouldn't be completely honest if I did. Hopefully it doesn't happen to anyone else because the experience wasn't pleasant. Furthermore, I did take this class, I still passed all the test, & I got my license. That's all that matters. Blossom is a fantastic choice for NA school. I graduated and took my NA licensing exam a few weeks after. I passed both the skills and the written. The staff there not only prepare you for the state exam, but also for the real world clinical setting. The program is fast- paced (which I really liked) and the staff does an excellent job explaining all the material thoroughly. I highly recommend attending this program to anyone interested in the field. Best choice ever. This is an awesome CNA school. Dorris is the nicest, funniest, craziest instructor ever and she makes the whole experience worthwhile! The other instructors are nice too. They let you come and practice in the lab whenever they're open basically, if you ever need more practice. Clinicals are a good experience and there is always an instructor there at the site with you to help if you have questions about how to do something. It's an added bonus that the school is also a testing site! I cannot stress how much EASIER it makes taking the state exam when you are familiar with the lab and surroundings. I loved Blossom! I attended the CNA class in Kent institution. personally, I found the class very helpful. Doris did her best to provide her knowledge for us, so that we can go to the clinic all prepare. She also gave her best to demonstrate what need to do to help our residents, honestly, the class was all I need eventhough it was only 3 weeks long. The staff here and instructors.. they may look like they want to help you guys to make sure you pass the state exam, but when you really in need of their help, such as making up a missing day and reschedule clinical days, they won't be helpful at all. Unforeseen things happen which is a nature of life but the staff of blossom doesn't want to accept that. Plus the passing rate for the course was not 100% either. And the other thing that I didn't understand was, they move people from the Lakewood location to Kent on their preferences. They do not know how to accept students based on desirable class size, so when they need fewer people for skill practice, they asked people to go to the other location which they weren't originally signed up. The owner seemed like "I appreciate your volunteer and you guys are awesome" will make all better. Because the list of the clinical site for students was not ready on the last day, that blew up our last option to choose between Fri-Sun and Sat-Sun schedules. Many students were interested in doing 4 total days of clinical instead of 5, the decision has been made solely by the instructors and no preference was asked although she said she's going to survey before she makes a decision. read more

The course goes by very quickly (but that is a personal choice because on their website, it shows that the course only takes 3 weeks to complete), where other CNA programs take about 3 months to complete. If CNA school is the only thing on your life schedule, this is the school for you! If you have any other obligations at all, I recommend paying a few more dollars for a more organized program. It was extremely frustrating having to cater to the disorganization and changing schedule. If you miss something, you can't graduate so we constantly found ourselves scrambling to rearrange our lives just to get through the course. The schedule that was posted when we paid for the program was much different from the one we received the first day of class. The new schedule included an all day Friday clinical for our weekend class (which most of us had to get off work with short notice) and our clinicals were in Federal Way at 6am instead of the 8:00 class time we signed up for in Lakewood. One of our clinicals was night shift because Doris double booked her week day and weekend classes at the same facility at the same time. We also found out during our lunch break on Superbowl Sunday that we would be staying after our 8 hour day (THAT DAY) for an additional 4 hours for a CPR class, which was never previously communicated! Disorganization from the first morning of class through the "help" signing up for the state exam. Doris acted like she was doing us a favor by allowing us to test in her facility (and charged us extra to do so) but even the location of our exam was incorrect when we went to sign up so we ended up having to test in a different facility than we practiced the entire course. Doris is also rude to her students. She says it's just her style of teaching and thinks she's funny but there were times when she was down right disrespectful and condescending to people in front of the rest of the class. There are other ways to teach than degrading your students in front of others. ESPECIALLY when her explanations were rushed, incomplete and unclear to begin with. She acted like she was just way too busy for us and forgot we are the reason she has a school. If it weren't for the instructor John, I probably would have fought for my money back and given it to another program that would have respected my time. Thank you for being great, John! read more

Wow- I wish there was a "no star" rating. After reading the reviews it seems as if these people were hired to write "5 Star" reviews for this place. First off, it is an awful location and has a horrible presence. It has bars on every window and it's classroom and clinical room is outdated and dirty. This place is seedy, terribly ran and I have never felt so unsafe in a medical facility as I did when I walked in. I had walked in one day with my friend who attended Blossom and was getting ready to take her state competency test. I was not a student there however she was assured it was fine because i was just her client that she was practicing on- nothing else. Once I walked in, I got stopped immediately by the owner who came at me in the most unprofessional manner in front of the entire class. Not only did she get all up in my face, but she managed to threaten me and call the cops because I wasn't supposed to be in there. God forbid I come and try to help my friend(one of her students) pass her test. She was SO rude, by far the rudest person I have ever met and I would NEVER recommend for anyone to go spend your 500 dollars here. I had my younger sister with me, and she made her cry because she told my little sister that she needed to leave the building while I had to stay and "show my ID and get questioned." After I told her I was not carrying my ID on me, she was convinced I was lying to her and threatened to call the cops on me AGAIN. It was clear that her behavior was derived from something else that she was doing that was probably illegal. I attended NATI in Shoreline to get my CNA license and they were wonderful and were very helpful- not to mention, let me bring in my family members to practice on. If you are looking for a place where you will be respected and helped, this is certainly not the place to go. I hope this post is not disregarded considering there is a strange amount of high reviews, this is an honest post that needs to be shared with potential clients. I would NOT recommend this school to anyone at all. I would pick 0 star if I could. Writing reviews is not really my thing but my experience with this business was so horrible I had to take the time to warn my fellow CNAs or CNAs to be. This is the most unreliable and unprofessional business I have ever dealt with. I signed up for a training session and they canceled two month in a row. The first excuse was not enough people signed up and the second time was they were just too busy. These were both very last minute cancellation which resulted in me losing 2 days of work. They make you get the book in advance and even cash your check with no plans to hold the actual training. It took me a whole month of nagging to get the refund and they subtracted $10 for the book I was offering to return. I am not surprised at all to see other negative reviews. If you want to become a cna or if you need a training find another reliable school for your sanity. I went to another school for the same training and they provided the material on the day of and collected the payment at the end of the training. read more
