The Apple Pay feature also didn't work on the machines I tried, which made things inconvenient. Most concerning, some of our clothes were damaged likely from leftover bleach in a machine, which points to a lack of proper maintenance and cleaning. I did end up finding another laundromat that was much cleaner and better maintained, so I would recommend looking elsewhere.

We did do some research to find a nice clean location and this one had solid reviews so we gave it a try. Right across from Safeway and BWP in downtown Walnut Creek, parking IS metered but there's plenty of it near the entrance which is key when loading and unloading. I have (literally) years worth of laundry that I've been waiting to do because my machines at home are too small. Duvets, comforters, blankets and towels galore. I couldn't take them living in trash bags anymore so we finally took them here to wash and dry. Yes, its expensive. We used the largest machines- 80lb machines- and it was $17 a wash load. Good news is, drying is only $1.50 each 16 minute cycle. But the peace of mind finally getting these items washed and in a clean establishment is most important. The staff member was super friendly and was seen cleaning them entire time we were there, probably a couple hours. $17 a cycle feels high, but if that's your one load for the week for 80lbs of laundry is sufficient for most people, and that cycle only takes 24 minutes then you're into the dryer. You can be in and out in an hour if you load your machines right. We went around 5p on a Sunday evening, and it wasn't busy at all. 2 other patrons. Then it picked up and during the time we were there most machines were in use. No 5th star because its hot and stuffy inside. Theres a standing fan to try to help, but its broken. Wish there was AC.

Their driers are .25 cents for 10 minutes and I usually go for 20 minutes. This is a busy laundromat as it's the only one in town. It gets crowded so coming at opening or later in the evening is best. Open 7am~10pm 7 days a week. The machines are old and on occasion there's a faulty machine. The owner is good about reimbursing you as there's an emergency number listed on the wall. The only drawback is it's dirty and new machine are well over due.

Recently, I brought in three T-shirts to have both the bottoms and sleeves hemmed. I even brought a sample shirt and held it against each one to show exactly where I wanted the bottom and sleeves to fall. I was initially quoted $16-$28 per shirt depending on difficulty. Since these were basic T-shirts, I agreed. When I picked them up, I was charged $84, the full $28 for each shirt. After getting home, I realized none of the sleeves had been hemmed. I brought the shirts back and explained the issue. They agreed to redo two of them; the third was left as-is because they insisted the sleeve length was "close enough." When I returned for the other two shirts, they tried to charge me an additional $50. I explained that I had already paid $84 and was only bringing them back because the original work wasn't completed as requested. They then insisted I had only asked for the bottoms to be hemmed and that the sleeves were an additional charge. I know that's not the case because I specifically used the sample shirt to show them both the sleeve and bottom lengths on each shirt. On top of all of this, the quality of the alterations was poor. They didn't even attempt to match the thread color to the original stitching, which made the alterations noticeably stand out. For what they were charging, I expected much better attention to detail and workmanship. After I refused to pay a total of $134 to hem three basic T-shirts, she tossed the shirts on the counter, waved me away, and said "okay." Mistakes happen, but charging premium prices for poor-quality work, failing to complete what was originally requested, and then insisting I never asked for it rather than trying to resolve the situation professionally was too much. After years of being a customer, this experience was disappointing enough that I won't be returning. This could have been handled very differently.
