On Feb. 11, 2023, Mark Thompson changed a plumbing vent pipe boot and claimed that would fix our…read moresmall roof leak during raining days. However, the leak got worse after his repair. We took the photos below before and after his repair. The photo shows that after the repair there is a dent in the flashing and a lot of caulk on the boot and shingles. We sent him the photos. He told us he would come to correct it, but he never showed up, and he would not answer our phone calls or text messages. In addition to this, he did not provide a receipt for the money he charged us for his service. We have the check paid to him which he deposited as our record. We had no choice but to ask another company to repair the damage. On March 6, 2023, two roofers came to our home to correct the mistakes made by Mark Thompson to avoid further damage. They told us the boot Mark Thompson installed was too big for the vent pipe and the massive amount of caulk used did not seal the gap. In addition to this, the roofers had to replace two shingles under the vent flashing as the caulk made it impossible for them to remove the flashing without ripping the shingles.
