I have to admit that I had never purchased flowers from this boutique shop, however I attended one of Bloom Maven's floral arrangement and wine workshop nights. It was super fun for a girls night out! The class started right on time and took about an hour and a half. It was led by the shop owner who provides best practices and tips for floral arranging. You will get to take home the floral arrangement you make without a vase. The wine pairings were nice; however, just know in advance that the vendor will try to sell you on purchasing bottles of wine to take home during the workshop. I have been going to Bloom Maven since they were in their original space at the Mercado next to Mast. It has taken me way too long to finally leave a review. They never fail to make me feel like a little girl in a candy store when I walk into their space. Such a sweet floral shop/boutique with boho-boujie vibes. Plenty of fun gift type items to peruse, candles, plant pots, air plants, sunglasses, jewelry, ornaments, socks, and more. A wide assortment of items. I think the trinkets they sell are modestly priced. I've purchased a pair of sunglasses for $20, a Christmas ornament for $15. There are definitely higher priced items, but I think most can find something in their price range. I've never ordered an arrangement from them, but my husband has purchased a few ready made bouquets for me. They are always beautiful, make my day, and are packaged so thoughtfully with ribbon and nice paper. I've noticed the larger roses in my arrangements seem to die a little more quickly than other arrangements I've received. May be caretaker error though. However the arrangements are also the most beautiful I've ever received. I pluck out the larger ones when they wilt and the bouquet continues to last a week or more. Such fun greenery. I really like the selection at Bloom Maven and the people who work here. The shop is always pristine and looks like a bougie hipster wonderland. Filled with beautiful arrangements, perfect succulents, and exotic house plants. They also offer gilded pots and even cute handmade cards. All in all it is a wonderful shop and one I would love to live in. Filled with lots of natural light and set in the beautiful Mercado San Agustin this is THE place to pick up a nice plant for yourself or as a gift. They occasionally have pop up sales in La Encantada or Nordstrom Rack which are quite lovely little versions of their store. I have also had a chance to take their bouquet making classes which I highly recommend. They teach you all the insider tips to making a beautiful bouquet centerpiece for your occasion. I am, quite literally, addicted to plants. There's this cycle I have created for myself: I get a plant... and then I need a pot for said plant... but then I go to the store to get a pot and end up with another plant (which, in turn, needs a pot). While some might say this is a problem, I'm actually quite content to be in this place. And as a bonafide Plant Mama, Bloom Maven is my favorite place to build my plant family. There is an incredible selection of indoor plants, from the Instagram famous monstera and fiddle leaf figs to less popular (but no less amazing) staghorn ferns, pothos, prayer plants, zebra plants.... and many more. Bloom Maven also has a ton of great pots for all these plant babies. From simple white cylinders to locally made pots and decorative macrame hanging options. And it isn't just live-plants. Akiko, the bloom maven herself, also does incredible flower arrangements and bouquets. They're simple yet unexpected and always beautiful. There are also local wares from some of Tucson's greatest artisans -- like Sigfus earrings, candles from And So It Is Apothecary, cards and more. And Bloom Maven regularly hosts workshops and other events. Every time I walk into Bloom Maven, it's basically like asking them to take all my money. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Bloom Maven is tucked into the Agustin Mercado and it fits in perfectly. I gotta say, this is one of my absolute favorite places in Tucson now. Not only is it right next to some of my favorite restaurants but it's so unique. My favorite is the weekly bouquet. They put together a lovely bunch of flowers and greens once a week that you can stop by and purchase. They're always gorgeous and one of a kind and priced quite reasonably. I have only been by Bloom Maven once but plan on coming back regularly. The lady running the register was very helpful and friendly and showed me around the shop. This is a lovely higher end floral shop located in the Mercado San Augustine. I have stopped in many times to just fill my lungs with the floral scent (an activity I highly recommend). Recently my neighbor did a very kind deed for me and I wanted to thank her with something thoughtful and ****local****. I asked about making a custom arrangement and began picking individual flowers. They charge by the stem-- most of the ones I looked at were $2 or $3 a stem. I quickly realized I didn't have the skill to assemble a beautiful arrangement. It's harder than you'd think! Not all flowers flow together so nicely and there are a lot of greenery options that have very different vines. Also, assembling by the stem gets pretty pricey quickly. I opted instead to purchase one of their pre-made arrangements. For $35 it was a way better value and prettier than what I could have done. The one they had ready had big fat garden roses in shades of romantic creams and pinks. They offered to assemble the same one using garden roses in a peachier shade since it was more friendly than romantic in purpose. :) I added a simple glass vase for $3 and walked across the courtyard to Estrella Bakery for a box of pastries. I'm very happy with the gift and my neighbor loved it too. PS They also had a gorgeous potted cactus inside for $35 in a put that was so cool. I didn't buy it but it occurred to me that it would also be a great gift to someone. read more

I was extremely impressed with the artistic detail they put in to their arrangements. I came here last Sunday looking for a bouquet, after the other flower shops near by had poor selection or just weren't open. When I walked in, I was surprised that it wasn't your typical florist. There were a lot of dry bouquets and small arrangements, gift type items like candles, etc on the walls. Stems to chose from, and potted plants. I asked for a wrap bouquet and gave them my price point, they asked me to come back in 10 minutes. I walked around the market for a bit and contemplated whether or not the eclectic style of the florist would be able to create a more delicate, romantic bouquet than that I saw in their prearranged. When I returned, I realized I clearly had no artistic vision as I would have never imagined creating such a beautiful romantic bouquet with the flowers they had on hand. I was so impressed. I will be contacting them to hopefully have another bouquet made for me this weekend and will forever go here for my floral needs. So happy I found this place, they truly are skilled at what they do. The website was a little too complicated for me to place an order, especially from out of the country. I called the shop to place an order regardless of the price because I liked the style and feel the shop has but the prices I was given over the phone were different than online, I was clearly trying to spend my budget of $75 and they told me that I had to go with small $30 or medium $95. Thats's a huge jump, with no offer to put me somewhere in between those price points. The person on the phone was very nice, but not helpful. The flowers were just okay, considering the bouquet looked uneven, and I payed for the vase arrangement and just got a bouquet tossed in a vase. I understand that a small is less flowers and less lush than a large per se but this just isn't what I thought I'd be spending my money on. Over all, I wanted to bring some flowers to my friend for her birthday and trusted them with it because I couldn't be there and was disappointed. With that being said, the flower choices were pretty and my friend was happy regardless. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. I met with Kate and Akiko for a consultation to book them as my wedding flourists. From the beginning akiko came off as snobby and rude. She made rude remarks to any of my suggestions and seemed to turn her nose up to my lack of knowledge in wedding flourists. Sorry, this is my first wedding! We went through the entire consultation before they asked my budget, and once I told them I could tell they were no longer interested in working with me. Kate told me they would contact me in a week with a mood board and quote, but I was never contacted by them again. Very unprofessional. I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.
