Got a foot reflexology massage from Momoko san! She was excellent. Strong hands and a good sense of the body. Highly recommend her.

The stone spa was just what I needed during a stressful trip. My massage was MEH, but the stone spa made up for it.

Sure, I've had a massage in Bali that costs all of $12, but spend ten times that at East Day Spa and the experience is elevated to perfection. From the first welcome accompanied by a cup of peppermint tea, to the calming music and beautifully appointment treatment rooms, everything is carefully thought about so you can spend time focussing on being relaxed. A massage here is exceptional, with the therapists obviously holding a high amount of training and experience. Sore legs? They'll spend more time on those when you tell them beforehand. A little knot in your left shoulder? Don't worry, they'll find it and gently knead it out. Don't worry about walking out feeling like an oil slick as they'll use hot towels to remove excess oil before giving you an oil-free face massage. This small attention to detail is what sets more expensive massages apart from cheaper alternatives. And it's not just massage they do well at East Day Spa. I've had facials and pedicures and every time I've walked away feeling relaxed and happy knowing I got exactly what I hoped for. In my eyes, that's money well spent.

Neither of us had heard of this place before, but after having left my girlfriend in charge of booking, this is the place we ended up heading to. When we came here there were no signs obviously indicating that this is a place to get massages. We walked up the old dirty looking staircase to find three women upstairs waiting for our arrival. I don't mean to be rude and criticise, but the entire time from finding the entrance to walking up the stairs, being lead into a bright little room and not having the lady leave while I was trying to get changed, I felt totally and utterly uncomfortable. I did not find the massage relaxing at all because the environment was not inviting what so ever. The music playing in the background was the radio which I felt was playing ads majority of the time. Also there was a good half metre to a metre gap between the ceiling and the walls dividing up the room. This allowed me to hear the man next door complain about how sore this ankle was. I didnt really appreciate hearing that when my main focus was to relax and unwind. I'm sure there will be some people out there who have had a nice experience here, however I personally felt incredibly uncomfortable and left more tense than I walked in. If you're after a therapeutic massage I personally wouldn't recommend coming here.

That means they can give a deep tissue massage, after which you feel a cross between exhilarated and exhausted. They respond to requests so if you need them to focus on a sore part of your body or go more gently then they will do that. This is not one of those places that puts emphasis on decor or atmoshere or ambience. But if you are looking for a top notch thai massage then Lisa and Phoebe cannot be beaten.

We were walking around and I saw this massage place, went in, and grabbed a brochure. Several people in our party ended up getting massages. I called the day before and booked for 8:30 AM on a Saturday morning. My therapist was a young guy named Red, a doctor in massage therapy and acupuncture from China. He was AMAZING!!! I had no idea my head could be massaged like that!! It hurt so good! Red has very advanced, graduate degree massage technique. You should absolutely ask for him. He suggested acupuncture to increase blood flow to my brain, and I absolutely trusted him to do it. I wish I could go to him regularly, but alas! He is very talented and well-studied. At 60 NZD (about $40 USD) for 60 minutes, the massage is a STEAL. The acupuncture was an additional $45 NZD ($30 USD) which I gladly paid up with a generous tip. We also got to talking and Red has done a lot of hiking. My brother happened to be in China at the exact same time so Red made me a map of where to visit. Wonderful massage. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We were badly in need of something to help our aches n pains. Need I say more? Yes? Well then, Wayne Massage is also located directly below the Crowne Plaza hotel that happened to be where we were staying. My hubber and I almost tripped over each other trying to beat each other through the door! All was well as we both squeezed through the opening at the same time and found TWO avail therapists - whew! I had Lisa and opted for the 40 minute neck/shoulders/back combo & it was soooooo good, I couldn't get off the table. In fact I could quite happily have canceled our time in Auckland and just stayed there and let her keep working on my tired, aching torso. So that, tells you something! Hub was equally as enamored with his therapist, so much so, he forgot her name and could only sing of the blissful cushions he was now floating on - and that had replaced his 'squealing pigs' as he called them when he first begged for 40 minutes of reflexology. Between the two of us we were a new person! So weary travelers, do yourselves a favour and make time for a quick massage you will be thrilled you did! And Lisa, if you ever choose to come to FL or TN, look us up. We'll switch out free room and board for massage!

Don't waste your money or time…read more My fiancé and I treated ourselves to a "upmarket" spa package to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Hands down this was the worst massage and spa treatment either of us has ever had. The spa is cluttered and doesn't feel clean. The treatment rooms were cold and damp, the ladies had to turn on a heater and place extra towels over us to keep us warm. Our 1 hour massage was the worst we have ever had. On several occasions the masseuse put far too much pressure over bones or joints causing pain. None of our muscular tension was relieved and we felt more tense after. We wanting to leave even prior to our 1 hour facial. The facial that followed was as bad if not worse. The products were cheap, heavily scented and left the skin feeling irritated and heavy. Very disappointing considering this cost us over $400 and we left feeling more stiff and sore and less relaxed.

I rang the bell on the intercom and the woman said that she was opening the door. The sliding doors did not open. I called back and she asked me if I was on the side of the Chinese restaurant and I said yes and the doors still weren't working. Anyway I got in (as someone used their key to enter and I followed). Once upstairs I found out that the appointment I made the night before was not in their system. At first I thought to myself, perhaps it wasn't meant for me to go there however the young woman at the desk was so pleasant and she went to seek advice (I guess). In the meantime I messaged the person that I was messaging back-and-forth last night and they offered me to sit in the sauna prior to the service as they would be able to honor my appointment just at a little later time. I must say the young woman who I did not get her name, but she was from France, did a spectacular job! I had a two hour massage and I wish I could've laid there for another two hours. I had requested a foot reflexology and wish that could've been a little longer however I will definitely go back when back in Auckland.
