I heard they had the best wings in Gwinnett and best fried catfish so I decided to give them a try. The restaurant is cozy so if you are dining in, you will be able to see everyone that comes and goes. I ordered the Lemon Pepper (LP) hot with one piece of fried catfish, large sweet tea, and peach cobbler. The food was good but left a bad after taste. I'm not sure if it was from the catfish or the combination of the hot sauce and LP seasoning but something threw the flavor off. I normally don't eat catfish so next time I come, I'll get the regular LP with a piece of fried whiting. The cobbler was good. I didn't care for the tartar sauce but it tasted home made so I appreciate the effort. The sweet tea was . The service was ok. I had to go back up to the counter several times to ask for condiments, eating utensils, and my drink. They gave me ranch instead of blue cheese but they were young and one of the cashiers was in training, so I give them grace. read more

Sooooo glad Blinky's is back. You know why? They fried shrimp is so tasty and a good size. I was tired of riding out for miles just to find some fried shrimp I liked (besides Red Lobster). There are other places nearby but they are mediocre. These right here? These right here? They are breaded well and have a nice flavor. I'm already thinking about when I want to go back for more. Lol. The fried okra is great as well. Cooked well and the crust is nice. However, tbh $4 is a bit much for the amount (the picture shown was basically the full portion minus about 4 that I had already eaten). My husband had (and always has) fried tilapia and fries. I can't say I've tried too many other items on the menu but I will one day I'm sure. I just got to get past this shrimp. Lol. May Blinkys be blessed to stick around for years to come. I mean. It was decent. I ordered a smash burger, thinking that it would be everything I've grown to love about smash burgers with the crispy edges and all. Basically, the bun is smashed, but the patty isn't. The patty is just a regular, thick burger patty. Still, it was really good for a homemade burger and gave me that homemade burger feel. Heard about this place through a women's group I belong to on social media. I'm never on that side of town however, when their name popped up on my Food Service App, I had to give them a try. Placed my order through Uber Eats but had to call the establishment to let them know I wanted my wings fried extra crispy since the option wasn't available on Uber Eats. I saw the wing mod option on Door Dash but decided to go through UberEats. Nonetheless, whoever answered the phone was so kind and pleasant. I was reassured my wings would be crispy. Ok. I ordered wings and whiting. Y'all, I can tell the wings were seasoned before they were fried. Not everyone does this. The fish was so good, I couldn't believe it because remember it was delivered through a 3rd party. I didn't have to warm anything up and the fish still had crunch to it. The flavor was on point for both the wings and the fish! I'm so greedy, I'm tempted to order some more for dinner. I did notice they have family meal deals. Blinky's is back! It looks like my review (and all of the other stellar reviews) for the previous location are gone, which is to be expected since (a) it moved, and (b) it was closed for a few years. Blinky's is home to: - Great wings - Some of the best around. The lemon-pepper are seasoned "just right", and are pretty much the only ones my wife will eat. We tried a number of others while Blinky's was closed, and only one came close (Mimi's smoked wings). - A classic Philly Cheesesteak - My personal favorite. I really need to branch out and try some of the other items every now and then, but ... Oh well! - A great selection of other grill items. It's been a few years since I tried the fish, but I recall it being good as well. - Hard-working sole-proprietor Bobby, who is working the grill pretty much every hour they are open from what I've seen. So impressed that he remembered my name the second I walked back in the door after not seeing me for three years! A few notes, from experience: - Apple Maps has the street address right, but the city oh-so-wrong. There are, of course, two "Atlanta Highway's" coming out of Athens to Atlanta -- US 78 and the old US 29 (now GA 8). Someone accidentally entered the address into Apple Maps as in Statham (along the GA 8 "Atlanta Highway"), but the correct location is in Grayson, at the edge of Snellville, just a few minutes from the previous location. Always makes me wonder which "Atlanta Highway" the B52's were talking about in their song "Love Shack" ;-) - If Bobby needs to take a day off, he'll close up, but he usually updates the Facebook page, so check ahead to be sure. - They take call ahead orders. I've been all over my part of GA looking for good wings and I think I found it. Came here on a whim and ordered philly with wings, side of fries. The philly sandwich was good; but can't beat the original philly from Philly lol. The wings are different story! It looked great, decent size. I ordered garlic parm and boy when I bit into it; it was crispy on the outside and tender and flavorful on the inside. It reminded me wings from NY; just great! Nothing around Snellville, Lawrenceville can compare to them. The owner was super friendly and great to chat with. I've been to several joints that served wings; American Deli overcooked and dry, Buffalo Cafe wings were small, overcooked and served cold. These wings blew me away at how crispy it is on the outside, how great it was on the inside and flavorful. A lot of places just either over fry or under cook their wings; but this place knows how to fry their chicken wings. Owner told me the fishes are even better; so that's what I'll be doing next time when I go back. read more

Ate dinner here this week. I liked it. Had the fried catfish with fried okra. Food was very hot & tasty. Hubby also had the fried catfish but he didn't like it all that much. He did like the corn nuggets. I thought the hush puppies were fine, but not great. One son had cheeseburger & fries (liked). Other had chicken tenders & fries (also liked; I thought the tenders looked a little too pale but as long as they tasted ok that works!). The 2 employees were very nice. Food does take a 8-10 minutes to prepare but that's fine by me when it comes out piping hot. We'll return & might try the Philly or wings next time. read more

Blinky's is pretty awesome . Food is excellent and the customer service is great. It does take a little while to cook the food so be prepared to wait but it is worth it. The images of the prices are outdated, it is slightly expensive for what you get and every little thing has a cost....such as 1 refill free but another drink is extra but I love to support mom and pop spots. I just tried this place for the first time after living in Snellville/Loganville for 11 years. I never knew it was a black-owned establishment. We ordered wings, fries, fried whiting and a kid's chicken tender meal. All of it was great. Their wings are a nice size--larger than what you get at Touchdown. The guy at the register (owner?) was very friendly. The reason I removed one star is because this place was hard to find. On the Google reviews, the pictures show the OLD location (next to Dunkin Donuts). They are now located further west up 78. They also have no signage that says Blinky's outside, so that was frustrating. We had to call to find out exactly where they were. Other than that, the food is good and we will be back. read more

I've given this place a few tries before writing the review and this is the highest I can go...just average. So far we've ordered the corn nuggets, lemon pepper wings, cheese steak, the veggie burger, and fries. To my taste, the lemon pepper wings were extremely salty. My husband has no complaints but he doesn't mind salty (even tho he knows its not good for his blood pressure). I've learned to just order the seasoning on the side and mix it myself. That makes this my go-to wing spot. The wings are meaty and fresh. Not so big that it makes me wonder about growth hormones. The veggie patty was a black bean version. A thin, dry patty w no seasoning is what I got. The fries were fresh and seasoned well. That fresh lemonade is good. I make sure I order that every time. A little sweet but acceptable; and its made locally so that's a plus. Those corn nuggets were def not for me. Just a blob of cornbread w some corn baked in. Nothing special. And the cheesesteak, I must admit I was really excited about. :( it was a thin, perhaps processed meat like in those frozen cheesesteak kits. Nahhh, I'll pass on that. The flavor & freshness are what drove me to go back on 3 other occasions within a 2 month period. I have only been to a place like this 2ice in my lifetime prior to this place.
