Terrible Service - never received product I thought Shop at Home was a service provided by Blinds to Go. Well Blinds to go STORE washes their hands. Unfortunately, my order that was to be delivered 2 -3 weeks took 7 weeks to arrive. The installation was a mess. Three of the five are unusable - and were unable to be installed. One was backwards, the shutters frame was too small and the blinds didn't have a valance. The worst is I haven't heard from anyone in three weeks with an apology, a compensation or any other form of an update. Buyer beware and don't shop here read more

Really disappointed...We were working with Paola but after she sold us our last window treatment she just went MIA and we have no idea when we're supposed to pick up our blinds...We've been ghosted for awhile now, so we definitely won't be using her for the last 5 windows we needs blinds for. So unprofessional...we still have yet to get the remaining blinds we paid half for and don't know when they will be in, or where to pick them up. So frustrating. We also have one that was misprinted and have a temporary blind up and I'm concerned at this point they aren't going to honor the exchange...I guess I'll be calling around to see when we can pay the remaining balance and pick up the shades we need...With a baby on the way, this is not the kind of stress we need. read more

Ordering process was easy, everything worked and fit perfectly. Great people and great products.

$1600 for crooked and water damaged automatic shades. Went here to get custom shades for sliding glass door, wanted to get one big shade but got upsold into getting the shades split for a "nicer look". okay no problem. Installation was free so they sent two workers to install the shades. They were both very nice, one even did magic for me while the other was busy installing the shades. After a couple of days looking at the shades I could not get over the fact they were sitting crooked (when drawing all the way down). I called the service department and the same installation crew came back to assess my complaints. They suggested there was a draft from the windows. They agreed to take the shades down and send them back to the factory. While the shades were at the factory I ensured the windows were as air tight as possible. After waiting 3 weeks for the shades to return and be reinstalled the one shade now has water damage at the bottom. On top of that the installation crew failed to get majority of the screws into the anchor position for the shades and left random screws in my trim. The shades still sit crooked and now have water damage. I contacted customer service about the issue but kept getting the run-a-round. So $1600 later and I have to use a block of wood if i want the shades to sit straight. Now Im kicking myself for not just getting it as one big shade. Don't make the same mistake! read more

Except for the manager, the staff sucks because they are rude and condescending. They've literally laughed at my husband for returning to handle the undesirable situation with our blinds because they weren't capable of helping. I don't recommend and the staff is the worst!!!!!!!! read more

They are all so informative, helpful, and friendly. My husband measured the windows himself using the guide provided, and they have always been a perfect fit for the window treatments. We've purchased Serenity blinds, roller shades, and most recently drapery. We recently moved far from a Blinds To Go location, and travel over 2 hours to this location. With our most recent move, I met with someone locally from a franchise of a competitor company, and am so happy that I made the decision to make the trip back to NJ to work with the sales team in Mount Laurel. Everything we've ordered has been so beautiful in our homes. You truly get what you pay for, and my purchases have been worth every cent spent. read more

Hello my husband and I got you shades for a small house not many windows 6 and then right after that we noticed the week after blinds to go was having the 50% off sale Bogo for us it was 25% off they've been having the sale going all summer we will never ever use blinds to go again. My husband and I felt the sales person would've have informed us that a sale like that was coming up within a week to hold off but that's OK. we feel we were overcharged. The shades are very pretty, but for what we paid for that everybody is shocked we will not be recommending blinds to go to anybody. The quality of the material used to make our vertical blinds for our bay window is horrible ! From day 1 they break off at the top and end up on the floor. They gave us these ugly metal clips to use at the top and look awful and now some have them and some don't ! I have never been so disappointed! Buyer Beware !! read more

I'm family has been coming here for 20 years and has always loved the products and customer service. I ordered blinds for my bathroom and there was an error in the measurements. Not only did it take 3 months for these blinds to come in which is absurd, they would not help me out with the error. They did not let me refund them for the proper size, would not do a decent restocking fee or anything. What they offered was basically to buy the same blinds twice to get new ones. This is not a way to keep long time customers in the pandemic, which im sure this company is not doing well. Unfort they lost me as a customer and my family supporting this business. read more

Their representative said she was going to provide temporary window coverage but of course that never occurred. I would strongly advise potential customers to look elsewhere. 10 years ago we purchased pleated shades for our home. we've been very happy with them. 2 weeks ago the pull cord broke and we brought the shade to the Mr. Laurel, NJ store and spoke with Paola. She said it would be re-strung at no charge! My husband asked if it could be converted to cordless Paola said yes for $50! Wow! 10-year-old shades! Awesome service! Disappointed!! My blind order was not ready by the promised date....it was actually extended for another month. I requested a refund .

I needed to replace the blinds in the master bedroom windows. 3 total. I had purchased blinds from this Blinds to Go before and it was a no brainer to make another purchase here! I went on the company's website and followed the instructions for measuring each window. I didn't want to order online, you can, if you choose too. In my case I wasn't sure which model i wanted. I knew I needed horizontal blinds. I took the measurements to the store. The sales-rep was very helpful and knew his stuff! We went over my measurements, model preference and I placed my order. My order was not overly expensive. I didn't buy really high end blinds though. The order took about a week to be made. Once the blinds were complete, I received an e-mail letting me know they were ready for pickup. The rep told me that the existing mounts in the window might not work, and the kit comes with mounts and mounting hardware. I was able to mount the new blinds with the existing mounts! Perfect! I installed the new blinds with no issues! I am very happy! I will continue to buy blinds here if I need more in the future! Blinds to Go has a pretty good warranty that covers defects and workmanship issues. read more

To Kim C. Hello, we were dismissed because we measured. The measurement we gave was 39 1/4 in. They said that we had to make it smaller to fit the shade. Well, we agreed and now we have a shade that the header is 1/4 inch shorter than the opening, thus the shade is narrower, allowing the light in. Not good for room darkening shades. Second time we tried Blinds to go, first time was wood Blinds where 3 slats stuck out so far I could not even install them. Now the roman shades are uneven. Waiting for my wife, to see if these too, have to go back Now a week later, still do not have the repaired shade back. No calls, nothing The customer service at this chain is non existent. We went on a Sunday to purchase two of the Serenity Cascade blinds for our guest bedroom. The store was clean and our sales person was helpful - the overall shopping and buying experience was easy. I received an email the following Saturday that the blinds were ready. Once we got home and opened the blinds we found that one of them was coming apart already, both of the blinds had scratches all over the metal top and bottom rails, and the spacer blocks were missing. We now have to return both blinds and wait for them to be replaced - I'll update once we have the returned products. Overall, the store is nice and sales people are decent. The jury is still out on the product. 5/23 Update: We received a call today advising that the blinds are in. Upon opening up the packaging, both blinds were in the same condition as the first ones we returned - there were scratches all over and exposed metal was visible. The design consultant advised that our standard of quality is probably higher than other customers. I'm not expecting Hunter Douglas blinds, but they shouldn't be damaged before we've even installed them. They are sending the blinds out again to be "fixed" and an additional update will be provided. Purchasing 11 blinds was an incident free experience. First time customer and would recommend and use again. In the showroom Kristen was very knowledgeable and helpful with my selections. She even pointed out any negatives to ensure I would be happy with my purchase. I used Heath for the measurement and installation. He was professional and accurate. What a mess! Went in to order shades for our new bow window. Repeatedly told the salesman Gil that we had a bow window. He said it didn't matter and marked it as bay on our sales order and recommended blinds that would fit. Put down our deposit for cascade blinds and set up appt for measure. Turns out what Gil said would fit would stick out at least two inches from the corners and would look horrible (thank goodness installer pointed this out!) Went back to the store to settle on something different on the recommendation of the installer. Order came in and we had to wait a month to get a Saturday appt for install (you can't schedule during the 6-8 week manufacturing process). The week of our appt the installer was injured so our appt was changed- for a date 6 weeks away. After speaking to a sales person (not Gil as we have never heard back from him), she arranged for an install the following Saturday. Our install window came and went so we called the store again. There must have been a "miscommunication" according to the store as we were scheduled for the following weekend (which we wouldn't have agreed to as we had a prior commitment). So we were pushed back two more weeks. Our order placed January 7th was just installed today March 11th. Our installer was great. The shades are nice. The customer service and process has been horrible. read more

I had a bad experience with Blinds To Go and would definitely not recommend them. I was purchasing blinds and shades for a new home. On Sunday, August 13, I placed an order in the Mt. Laurel, NJ store. On Monday, August 14, the person who does measuring and installation measured all of the windows for me (this is an independent contractor - so there was an additional charge for this, but well worth it). In the course of that process, we discussed a change to some of the windows in bedroom 2 and 3. Bedroom 2 has 2 single windows and 1 triple, while bedroom 3 has 2 single windows and 1 double. I had ordered cordless shades for the single windows in these bedrooms, but the fancy child-safe corded shades for the triple in bedroom 2 and the double in bedroom 3 due to their large size. As I discussed this further with the installer, I changed my mind and decided to replace the triple fancy corded with 3 single cordless and the double fancy corded with 2 single cordless. The installer made note of these changes. On Tuesday, August 15, I received a call from the store saying that he had received the changes and asking me for my approval as well as telling me that my total would be increasing by about $180 as a result. I agreed and was told that my order would be ready in 6 -10 days, which is what I have in my paperwork also. So far, so good. I heard nothing for a long time as 6 - 10 days came and passed. Nobody from the store contacted me as I saw later that they were supposed to do if the order were delayed according to their own paperwork. I tried calling the store multiple times, but couldn't get through because all of the sales personnel were busy with customers. Finally, after more than 2 weeks went by, I got through to the store and was told that they would have to call the factory. They called back to say that my order was delayed and would be in the store by Sunday, September 3. I still was not given any options, as described in their own paperwork if orders take more than 6 - 10 days. On Friday, September 1, I received notification that my blinds and shades were in the store. It then took several calls before I was able to reach anyone to pay my balance. At this point it had been 17 days, well above the 6 - 10 promised. In the meantime, my guests were severely inconvenienced by the lack of shades in the bedrooms. I paid my balance in full and the installer picked up the blinds for me and installed them on September 5. However, there was one major mistake. Although the triple shade with child safe pull had correctly been replaced with 3 individual cordless shades, the double shade with child safe pull had been replaced with 2 single shades with pulls. As this room will be occupied by children, this is unacceptable. Also, this was never ordered. It was not the original order, nor was it the replacement order. I could understand if it were one or the other, but it was neither. The store personnel were very unhelpful and failed to take any responsibility for the mistake nor for the long delay in receiving my order. They acted like I purposely ordered the single shades with pulls to avoid paying extra for the cordless. This is both insulting and ridiculous as all of the other shades were cordless. Their solution was to inconvenience me even more and tell me to take down the shades myself and return them to the store and they would send them to the factory to have them redone to be cordless and then I would have to wait for that to be done and then pick them up at the store again and then have to reinstall them again. Or I could ask the installer to do this for me, but they would not be responsible for any of his costs. Their only concession was that they would not charge me the $80 - $100 to make the corded shades cordless. Are you kidding me? What about my time, what about the delay in receiving the shades, what about breaking your own policies, what about it was your mistake not mine? This is far from a fair resolution and I think a lot of shade and blind buyers would be interested in both my experience and the total lack of a customer service focus by the store staff. Blinds To Go will never get my business again and I would encourage others to look elsewhere if they want a company which adheres to its own policies and has a customer service focus. read more

Went to pick up my order and expressed that I forgot a window when I ordered and would need to order it. I asked if they could sell it to me for the promotion price I bought the rest under (...days ago). Just got a no. Not..."let me ask my manager"...nothing. I asked if he would want to try, and no. So I didn't buy it. Will have to get somewhere else. Very weird customer service. I'm an independent landlord and have been using BTG for years.. many thousands of dollars and dozens if not hundreds of blinds. But after installing my umpteenth blind from them, I wish they would address a few nagging details: 1) The design of their valance clips is flimsy and difficult to install, and they're easy to bump off when cleaning the blinds or the windows. Plus the instructions give no guidance for the depth of inside-mount blinds. It's easier to attach the clips to the valance first, then attach the valance to the headrail; but that's impossible if the front of the headrail is either flush or recessed inside the window opening. 2) The mounting screws provided are cheap; the metal is soft and it's easy to strip the heads. The hollow-wall plugs provided are useless. 3) The tilt-wands attach to the headrail with a small wire-and-plastic assembly glued to the end of the wand. Frequently the glue is inadequate and the wand separates from it. I always need to have a tube of super-glue on standby to fix it. Customer service remains first-rate, and the overall quality of the blinds is superior to what is available at the "big-box" stores. It's still worth the small price premium, but it's not perfect. read more

I inherited a house, which likely didn't do any upkeep for 30-years, went to this location, and met with a great staff, namely Kristen who understood the situation, of the shades/blinds cracked/ falling down. Help with the style and color selection, value + design = well worth time. The professional installer came out measured, place ordered and waited till xmas was over to install, took 1hr at max for 20 windows. The installer even cleaned up after himself, extremely polite. I have a few more windows to replace once done I will return to them and get more blinds to finish turning the house into a home. read more

She also connected me immediately to the professional installer who came out next day measured and order went in, and in two days the blinds were installed and they are EXACTLY what i wanted. the installer Brian was also awesome. He knew my timeframe was important and moved up the install day too, as soon as the blinds were in, he was out. I cannot say how happy i was with this process. The material I chose for the living room blinds was no longer available so I had to pick another color; Blinds to Go was professional about that situation. I loved the blinds, and the installer, Heath. But they kept making mistakes with the pole we needed for the skylight blinds. First, we were overcharged and my husband had to go get a refund. Then the pole did not come with the blinds so I had to go pick it up. Then, there was not hook and I had to go back again. Our first time shopping at blinds to go and it was an enjoyable experience. We started at the Cherry Hill store and absolutely loved the one on one attention given to our needs. We had just purchased a new home and we had so many decisions to make but they did not rush us at all. We had also mentioned that we wanted an installer to come out and measure and install. After a week and half we placed our order and someone called us almost immediately to measure. Within 10 days of measuring we received a call that our blinds were in. We chose to pick them up for the installer. Paul called us back almost immediately and was at our home within 3 days. I love the look of our wood blinds and we were so happy to remove our home depot paper blinds. The only issue I have is the wood valance on two of our windows was cut slightly short and they do not totally meet the window edges. Even still I will definitely use blinds to go in the future. read more

Installation instructions are pretty easy to follow. However, the hole in the pin mounting bracket had to be enlarged to accommodate the pin. Unhappy with the seaming on the valance. Considering the cost for this peace, I would have hoped the seam wouldn't be so obvious. I made this purchase at Blinds To Go because I was having difficulty finding the size needed. All things considered, the price was fair. The purchase was made during a buy one & get 50% off a second purchase. Knowing I needed only the one, I asked if there was a discount. Sadly for me, I was informed there was not. When the time comes to purchase more window treatments, I most likely seek options other than Blinds To Go. read more

Bought a simple blind for the bedroom....metal, 1" wide...only $125. Not happy with the whole process I had to go through. First a deposit amounting to 50% using my credit card....that was ok. But then the installer (Heath) come over to measure - spends all of 30 seconds measuring and his fee is $40......cash! It can't be added to the cost of the blinds. When the blinds are ready, I call Heath to set up the installation. I then get a call from the store and they want the balance paid....before my installation! I've never experienced that before with any type of work being done in my home. A couple days later, Heath arrives to install the blinds; spends no more than 2 minutes doing his thing.....literally just 2 minutes and wants is payment ($60.00) again in cash. Four separate payments.....seriously? And the worst part was that I wanted to do this online and have the installer come out to my home when they were ready, but was told that I would have to come into the store first for "security reasons".......what a crock! read more
