It was not Floor Trader who showed up. They subcontracted us to someone else, who I was unable to communicate with due to a language barrier. I don't care where people are born, okay, but I would like to be able to communicate with people who are working in my home so that if there is an issue we can both understand what is happening! One of the gentleman spoke spotty English (certainly better than my Spanish, which is nil.) so we were able to work through the fact Floor Trader did not tell him that furniture movement was necessary, or that he would have to cut around the cabinets because the current floor extended underneath them. Or that there was damage to be fixed to the subfloor in the kitchen where tile removal had unlevelled the area. If I had been able to speak to them however, I would have also expressed the fact that there are soft spots in the new floor. Places that bow when I walk on them. In less than a month, the quarter round came off in once place where they had brad nailed into thin air, and a few months later the entire piece under the front door came loose. Where it is still attached it is hideous because the caulking job done between it and the baseboard looks like a child smeared sugar cake icing and let it dry - thick, jagged lines. Why didn't I take these complaints to Floor Trader directly you ask? #1, because I was 8 months pregnant and TIRED. But #2, because, ONCE THEY HAD MY MONEY THEY NEVER REACHED OUT TO ME AGAIN. Not to confirm that someone showed up to do the work. Not to confirm that the work was done. Not to ask about progress, and certainly never to do a "how did it go?" questionnaire. Not once. No Email. No Text. No Call. Probably the only reason they knew the install was happening was because the men on site kept having to call their own boss who would call Floor Trader to confirm things they should have already been told (like the furniture removal requirement). The guys were amazingly silent though. No stereo, no phone calls, no earbuds. And it was HOT but they never complained. I offered to set up a fan for them, but they declined. I think maybe it would have blown around too much dust? Oh, and we are missing the threshold we paid for. It's not one I cared about as it was leading into a closet, but the point is it was on the schematic. Anyway, would not recommend.

At the very least so no other person is in the same circumstance that l find myself in, the company should discard that "sample" of the floors that were in the showroom. How is your company and also the manufacturer okay with me just simply hating my floors? This was supposed to be a lovely experience and between Floor Trader (Andrew you were actually very nice and helpful) and my incompetent contractors, this was a terrible experience and I would not recommended doing business with anyone involved in the future. I am aware that Floor Trader is just the supplier and not the manufacturer but they were no help at all when I voiced my concerns and now I'm just stuck with floors that I truly detest. I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

My review is mixed. This company did what appears to be a beautiful job replacing our roof but…read moreshortly after it was done we discovered a few problems. My husband needed to go up into our attic. While up there he realized that the fascia board was bare because there were cracks that allowed light into the attic. We had paid extra for drip edge so everything should have been covered and no light should have been able to get through. Due to the cracks we had a wasp nest in our attic (thankfully he was able to quickly take care of this problem). Upon further evaluation we found a dent in one of our gutters and that one of our vents was not properly positioned to the roof fixture. We called the company and they came out to evaluate. They fixed our vent and they offered to cover the fascia board. We were grateful they were willing to do this since they made a mistake by not letting us know about the exposed boards and inability for the drip edge to reach the gutters. However, when they came to cover the boards the material they used was improperly cut, they left nails halfway driven in and tapped over to the side, screws were left loose on our gutter, and there was now a gash and a hole in a part of the gutters. The dent was also still present from when the roof project was complete. The owner came out to review the damage with my husband. He did tighten the loose screws on the gutter. He relayed that he could not believe that the gutter damage was from his employee. We informed him that our gutters were just installed within the last year and that my husband had looked at them prior to the employee coming out to put up the material but he dismissed those facts. He insisted that since covering the fascia board was not part of original roof project that it was a sufficient job even with the prior mentioned damage. I stated that I expected good quality even though this was not part of our original roof project as they are supposedly a professional company. The company websites notes they not only do roof projects but gutters and siding. I told him that I expected they would have brought up the fascia board issue during the roof replacement even though it was not a technical part of the project. He informed me that he does not want to "upsell" customers. I advised him that protecting my home is not upselling and that he should address this with customers in the future. Unfortunately, we will not be comfortable using them again if their perspective is that a job of poor quality that causes damage is sufficient because it was not part of the original project they were paid to complete. If you choose to use them I would suggest taking detailed pictures beforehand and checking the work. We are currently happy with our new roof and are hoping that our roof is well installed but that is yet to be seen. Sadly, our gutters and fascia board will need to be redone.

You really do get what you paid for. So we bought a new home a few years ago and purchased the shutters/blinds before we moved in. We moved in March 2022 with the order being placed like January 2022 during the building process of the home. The wait to install the shutters ONLY was so long. He did not install them until like 8 months after moving in the home. There was a little production delay, but he told us it would only be like 2 months for the delay. During our wait, Steve barely communicated with us. He always said he was doing something with a family member or something strange. IT WAS SO UNPROFESISNAL. I had to contact him for any updates. During installation the shutters were very poor quality as well. Then after this, we had to still wait for or blinds. We literally just got our blinds a few months ago. It is 2025. LOL. It does NOT take that long to get blinds. THAT BE CRAZY!!! I will never get any window treatments and this guy should not be in business. Do not support him! Seriously, don't go here. There are a lot of other places to get window treatments local or online. They may be more expensive but it's worth it so you don't have to wait for like 3 years!!! Do not give him any business!!!
