I ordered a £400+ order when I moved into new home on 9th sept 2020, I have never had new and saved for months, I had no other curtains and had to put sheets in window.
I was given a 3 -4 week delivery date, manageable so proceeded with order.
My mentally unwell child was due for her first home visit since lockdown about a week after blinds due so I thought perfect can get her new room perfect for first visit home.
The process was easy to order online so I recommended to a friend also.
Delivery day approached and they changed it adding another week, I was annoyed but thought ok.
That week approached and they changed it yet again this time to 14 nov over 2 months later!!
We will have been living with no daylight for 2 months now and my daughters first visit would be to that , as well as a stressed out mum and a room with no light, doesn't bold well for a schizophrenic autistic! so it caused severe distress to whole family, what should have been a pleasant home visit was actually very stressful, the first time seeing her in months ruined.
I contacted company, they were very apologetic and admitted it was very unreasonable wait, they gave covid as excuse, however the friend I recommend had ordered her blinds 4 weeks after mine and received hers in 2 weeks, I went to collect letters at my old address....yep they had new blinds too, same company ordered 7th Oct delivered in 2 weeks, we had mutual exchange she has exact same measurements and blinds yet received hers in 2 weeks and yet 2 months I'm still waiting!
The customer rep said she would offer a percentage refund as a gesture of good will once my blinds HAD finally arrived.
Well they arrived finally 2 moths later, they are nice, however 2 had to have about 1cm sawn off and one had to have 2 inches cut off the pelmet, so nit really made to measure! but I am happy with blinds now they are finally up.
I contacted company for my promised gesture of good will and three emails later I've heard nothing from them, not even an acknowledgement! so as promised I have wriiten them the honest review I said I would.
My boyfriend ordered from BLINDS DIRECT, 4 sets of same design and received in 4 days, one had something missing and they sent out a whole new blind in a week and let him keep the old, thats customer service and a decent company!!!
