This review highlights ACC's poor business practice, workmanship and customer handling. A simple…read morereimbursement could have saved ACC from my continued complaints and bad reviews. Unfortunately, they are warranted and I will continue in this manner until paid. ACC should not be allowed to stay in business to do this to other homeowners. I have complaints to State of Wisconsin's State of Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DTACP) and Better Business Bureau. ACC's business owner never responded to DTACP but did reply with lies through BBB's attempt to mitigate the complaint. The end result is that we still have not reached a satisfactory result, i.e. a $459 reimbursement that we are STILL owed. Here is a slightly less detailed version (for space purposes) of what was sent to the 2 agencies: The complaint is that I have not received a $459 reimbursement, which is still owed to me by the contracting and remodeling firm, Accurate Custom Creations, aka "ACC". From start to finish, the entire engagement with them was flawed going beyond the expected timeframe, over budget, with many disputes about costs. Regardless, I always made prompt payments at every pay point throughout the project. Along with my final payment, there was a conditional agreement that one task still needed to be completed. ACC would come back to change the laundry room electrical outlet for the dryer from a 110v to a 220v outlet as required by the dryer that we were to purchase. The initially installed 110v was the incorrect voltage for the dryer, hence, per our agreement, ACC agreed to correct the problem at no extra charge. After ACC's subcontractor for the electrical did not work out, ACC agreed for me to contract my own electrician and ACC would reimburse us for the charge. Since our relationship with ACC had been riddled with misunderstandings, we specifically emailed them to get clarification that they would truly reimburse us if we paid for the work upfront. They assured us that this would be the case. They did stipulate that the cost should be reasonable and we agreed upon limits that we would abide by. I stated that I would expected a fair but necessary charge, which I would supply as presented to me for the work. That reimbursement agreement was reached in September 2019. My electrician completed the work on October 2, 2019 and an invoice for $459, dated October 14, 2019, which I paid in full. On November 2, 2019, I sent a copy of the invoice to ACC requesting the agreed-upon reimbursement from them. After having not received payment nor communication over the next 3 weeks, I sent a reminder email (on 11/20/19) to ACC requesting status and response for the reimbursement. I received an email on 11/25 from the ACC office, assuring me that I was not being ignored, but that the owner was deer hunting and was promised a follow-up by the next week. Having not received a return call, I placed a voice message on the office phone for a return call and reimbursement - On 12/3/19. On 12/4, the ACC owner sent me a long email, informing me of several personal mishaps and bad luck he had experienced over the course of 2019, as well as a business deal gone awry. All of this ended with a statement saying that he was "broke" and would "try to pay" when he could with no set expectation of when that payment would come. Later, that same day, I responded with sympathy but asked him to separate the personal issues and reminded him of the obligation to reimburse us. When I did not receive any acknowledgement, I sent emails (and left phone messages) on December 6 and on December 10. Since there was no further acknowledgement or responses, I decided to file the complaints I have referenced. I filed to DTACP in January 2020 and to BBB in March 2020.
