I've been looking to eat here for a few months now. I was so happy to see them at the pumpkin patch today and stopped by with my family to have lunch. Service was fast friendly and efficient. The truck is beautiful and the menu is very easy to read, with ample choices without it being too much to choose from. The four of us ordered the Philly sandwich with tots, kids 2 tenders and tots, a blue raspberry lemonade and the gumbo collard greens. Got out just under $63 with the tip included and it was very worth it. Portion sizes are great and food quality was even better. The Philly was dressed with tomato, lettuce, onion, cheese and a sauce. Tasted like a gyro and a cheesesteak had a baby with good hair! That meat was tender juicy and flavorful! Not only was the toasted bread nice and soft, but it held up with all the meat that was stuffed into it. It was exactly how it should be, more meat than stuff. The kids tenders were cooked to perfection. Simple, crispy and juicy. Tots on both meals were crispy and seasoned well. We chose fry sauce for the tots and it did not disappoint. Very close in taste to the burger sauce at in-n-out. The star of the show was the gumbo collard greens! Babyyyyy!!! When I tell you she know how to make some soul food, believe me. The flavors coming out of that bowl had me tussling with my kids for the last bite. I've never tried adding greens to my gumbo before, but I might have to from now on. This experience, from start to finish, was one I want to have again and again. I recommend trying whatever soul food item she's offering on the menu when you visit. Someone walking by as we were waiting, said to get the wings with the "oohwee" sauce. I'll try that next since I see myself going back again and again. 10/10 recommend. read more

I visited the food truck in Edgewood. I was hoping to get some wings, but they were sold out when I got there. I ended up choosing the jerk chicken and loaded fries. The jerk chicken had great flavor to it, a little bit of kick, but not too spicy. It was not overwhelming. The loaded tots were super good. I like the cheese sauce they used, and they didn't use pre-processed bacon, you could tell it was made fresh and it was super good. read more

Long story short about this food truck, they had just opened up really close by to where my boyfriend and I were living in Puyallup but we were also about to move to Tacoma. I have been following Dawn and her food truck journey since the beginning and I was so sad that I couldn't try some of their amazing food, especially being walking distance. However, I found out recently that her truck comes to northeast Tacoma every so often and I dragged my boyfriend to come along with. As we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the cashier and she was patient with us as we were trying to see what we all wanted cause everything sounded so good. My boyfriend got the Bleu Butterfly's Bacon Bleu Burger with a side of tots while I got the jerk chicken bowl and we got a signature lavender lemonade and two piece chicken tender with tots. We were given a buzzer to notify us when the food was done but it seemed like there was some minor issue of some buzzers not working as there were a few customers waiting. We stayed close by the truck just in case, and plus it was a lot to carry so we wanted to both be there. After several minutes, Dawn politely calls out to us and tells that they didn't have patties to do the burger and asked if we wanted something else instead. My boyfriend went with the loaded Philly tots. It was unfortunate though as he paid an extra $2 for the tots for the burger but the loaded tots were the same price as the burger. Once we received the food, we were very happy with our food as each bite was packed with flavor. I don't get to have jerk chicken often but this had to be the most tender and perfectly seasoned that I had the pleasure of trying. My boyfriend was very happy with his loaded tots! We loved the chicken tender, tots, and the sauce that came with it as it was the perfect accompaniment. The lavender lemonade had a gorgeous presentation with flowers on the top of the whipped cream, a lovely blue color, and the drink itself was refreshing and had the perfect amount of tart. With every bite, my boyfriend and I would keep exclaiming yum or just repeat how good everything was. Our fur babies even loved the chicken meat and tots too! We are super looking forward to trying more of their menu items as I was looking forward to the soul rolls. We spoke with Dawn as we were headed to our car and she asks how we enjoyed it. She told me that she took soul rolls off the menu for the time being as it is just her cooking, prepping, and so much more. I completely understand that she is focused on ensuring on quality and customer satisfaction than overworking herself into making something not to her standard. Probably one of my favorite food trucks in Washington and we have a lot of them, but Dawn and Bleu Buttahfly are strong contenders! read more

Ok, this will be my first review as I experience the insanely good food that the folks at Bleu Buttahfly are dishing up. My hubby ordered us two beef sandwiches to go, made with roast beef and red peppers and onions. Why he didn't look up and order some of their side dishes is just perplexing to me. Lovingly made beef on a soft grilled, perfect bun, and finished with a dob of mayo, some lettuce and slices of tomato. It was Deviiine. Bleu Buttahfly visited Top Down Brewery in Sumner. I loved the Jerk chicken bowl with plantains. Great chicken. Nicely charred and has plenty of jerk flavor. With the garlic fries it was a great beer pairing :). I hope Bleu will be back. read more

Yall. RUN your hungry rear end to this little truck... her food is absolute FIREEEEEEEEE. I stopped in for the first time today after seeing it many times. I ordered the Waygu steak gorgonzola pita and I swear to you, I wish I had three stomachs so I could order another one! The steak was perfectly cooked and the mixture of the Gorgonzola cheese with whatever her special sauce is crafted with was absolutely to DIE for. I destroyed the whole thing in like two minutes, absolutely not a cute look on me as I shoved in my my face unaffected by the sauce dripping down my hands. I am stuffed to the brim as her portions are amazing, but when I realized I ate it all I was so sad! If I wasn't sitting in an open food court, I would have been licking the bowl to get every drop that amazing sauce. Can't wait to come back and try everything else. Comfort food made with an extra dose of love. How many places do you know that are serving healthy comfort food? Well look now more!! The collard green gumbo with shrimp is fantastic it's a fusion that your stomach has been missing. The gyro is delicious, I love that the meat had a was a little crisp it added to the flavor with the fresh crunchy lettuce. The signature drink is the bleu lavender lemonade, it's a very refreshing drink with great flavor. And last was the cauliflower mac and cheese, WOW. The portion sizes are great.
