It was quickly dried and styled in center or side parts, with lots of volume, lift and swing. Elegant and easy. Derek said he couldn't understand me. I should have left immediately. What I have now is an inexplicable cut, 2-5 " off, barely chin length, huge amounts of hair removed, wispy layers everywhere, and texturizing. He has activated a mass of waves and curls never seen before. From the front, the shape is a cartoonish wide diamond. From the sides, a fat wedge. This is the opposite of what is required for copious, European, fine, porous hair with a nape curl and minimal wave. Derek basically has created a White girl Afro. He somehow dried it beautifully, disguising the weird architectural structure by using a tiny brush on myriad narrow strands, drying them straight, and contorting them via elaborate manual sculpting techniques, product and nearly an hour of work. Maybe he planned to do twice-weekly blowdries on it. I have spent many days and dollars elsewhere experimenting with product, techniques and professional advice while attempting to cope. Derek pleasantly refunded the charges and apologized for the "inconvenience." This is far worse than inconvenient.

When I first moved to DFW in 2007 I was having a difficult time finding someone who I trusted with my hair. (Back home I had seen the same girl for most of my life). One day I was told to pay a visit to Lisa Perry. I am more than glad I did. She has seen me through my blonde (when I met her) and my brunette (what I am now) phases. I grew up with naturally blonde hair but as I have gotten older it has continued to get darker. She kept up with keeping me blonde and it looked great and so natural. And when I finally decided to cave and go full brunette I gave her full control over the color.....and it was PERFECT. I do not think I had ever been so happy and in love with my hair. Not only is she fabulous with color, but she has been great with my cuts too. I have very long, naturally straight, very thin hair (but a lot of it). With the length it is it is hard to keep looking healthy. She knows exactly what to do to make it look full and healthy. Also, she is very honest and lets me know what cuts will look good and not-so-good on me (she has def saved me a few times from a few bad ideas I've had). She would never let anyone walk out of the shop with hair that was anything less than perfect. Also, an entire bridal party and I (about 15 people total) saw her the day of the wedding (and prior wedding functions) to get our hair done. Everyone's hair was done wonderfully and in record time! (I was not very surprised though, shes AMAZING). She even found a way to incorporate my hair wraps (some ive had longer than ive known her) into the up-do (which i thought might have been iffy, a few girls before Lisa tried to get me to cut them out). Bottom line is.....She is the best. Ive always gotten compliments on my hair thanks to her. I recently moved to Austin and I will definitely be making trips to see her when I can. She is all about the customer and will make sure you walk out looking amazing and beautiful.

I told him long enough to make a high ponytail about one to 2 inches below the shoulder . When he made the first cut I knew it was too late .. haircut ended up being too short and worse, it's all uneven. He just cut straight across. I honestly don't think this person has a license. This is totally a rip-off and a way to haggle customers. All I wanted was a rinse to cover my grays hair consist of Keratin regardless of the ethnicity of a person. I get the texture will be different but if you are a licensed cosmetologist you should have been trained on doing a rinse on all hair types and not just a select few. It is blatant discrimination and I am applauded JCPenny would be behind such a policy. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Don't go there go to Walmart Salon better CS and a rinse won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Great employees means great business! I've been coming here because I have a good friend that does my hair here. She is the best! When I'm with her the other employees come and talk, it's like you're at a table with friends. It's very welcoming and friendly. They do hair, color, waxing, even have a massage person too and they also do nails and toes! It's a all around great place! Check them out and see!
