I normally get the red beans & rice and he normally gets the ribeye cooked medium rare-medium. This is our favorite spot for crawfish during the season because they're seasoned so well, just DELICIOUS. They have a good selection of beers to choose from & the caramel pie for dessert is my go-to. Service is excellent, amazing staff that feel very welcoming. The vibe is really relaxed, which we love. 10/10 would recommend coming here for steak or seafood cravings!

Let me start by saying that I do not like to down a locally owned place but I have to be honest. we…read morechose this place because it was all that was open on a Sunday afternoon at 3:30 and we were passing through. Our server Grace was a sweetheart. We had the BimBam shrimp appetizer. It was the best thing we ate. Generous amount of shrimp that taste good with a tasty sauce. The starter salads were decent. Homemade ranch was really good. Mike had the steak tips which someone has falsely told Grace that they are tenderloin trimmings. They are in fact tough sirloin cut into random pieces that were not cooked medium rare but rather medium well to well done. The potato was freshly baked but we aren't fans of foil wrapped baked potatoes as the skin is basically boiled. Props for the freshly grated cheese. I had the etoufee. The crawfish did not taste muddy but that is the only positive thing I can say about it. The flavor was mediocre at best and the trinity was still crunchy. A decent amount of crawfish tails. The glass doors as you walk in need to be cleaned and the rug as you enter looks like it could use a good shaking out. I had to use the light on my phone to read the dark gray menu. I wish we could like this place better but it's just ok. Our raccoons said they rate the etoufee and leftover steak tips a 5 but since they didn't pay $66 before tip they didn't get a say so.

The staff seemed nice enough, but. We came here with a gift card which was part of the reason we chose to come here, I was told some story about how they can't accept it because of something with the system and they're working on it because we changed management. So I asked well couldn't you discount the meal and keep the gift card and apparently that's not an option. The manager couldn't even come and tell me this, couldn't be bothered to explain this situation to me. So I guess I got a gift card I'll never use because this place isn't worth the money they charge and I doubt they fix this supposed issue.

What is up with subway's steak?? Never great but they have cheaped out on their quality or…read moresomething. The last I got was stringy and the flavor was very flat. My wife ordered the steak with the garlic butter and mozzarella cheese. Their version of something Italian I guess, and asked the woman making it to use pepper jack instead of mozzarella. She replied that there would be an extra charge for that. What??? On a $3 sandwich they charge nearly $10 for. Ridiculous. And my "traditional" steak sandwich was made so poorly that the last 2 bites on either end had no meat as it was all piled in the middle. Add to that the substandard meat they must be using now and adios subway in Flora.

Plato Feliz has officially earned a spot on my "never again" list. I ordered the Chimichanga El Oro…read morebecause it was reasonably priced. The shrimp and chicken chimichangas were good, but the steak was completely bland. No seasoning. No flavor. Nothing. But the food wasn't even the worst part. The restaurant had a sign outside advertising $5 mimosas today. I don't even drink mimosas, but because they were advertised as a special, I ordered one. Imagine my surprise when my bill showed $9.95 instead. When I questioned it, my server and two other employees informed me the special only applied from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Funny how that important detail wasn't on the sign that convinced me to order one in the first place. Instead of honoring the advertised price, they expected me to eat the extra charge because of information they failed to disclose. I paid because arguing over five dollars wasn't worth my time, but it's the principle. If you're going to advertise a special, advertise the entire special, not just the part that gets customers to buy. Businesses wonder why people stop supporting them. This is exactly why. Misleading advertising, no accountability, and no effort to make things right over a mistake that was entirely theirs. They lost a customer over $4.95. Not because of the money, but because of the dishonesty and poor customer service. I'll never be back, and I certainly won't recommend Plato Feliz to anyone. Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere that values honesty and treats customers fairly.
