Andy was recommended to me by someone my family tremendously respects in the real estate industry…read moreand who values "consistency". Andy was extremely accommodating and professional. There was a scheduling issue that was beyond my (home buyer) and Andy's control and Andy rearranged his schedule to help. He was also very quick to respond to texts or phone calls and made it clear that no matter what the circumstance at the home, that he would do a thorough inspection and the quality of the inspection would not be hindered. He clearly explained everything he did and found at the home to me. The finished report was even more detailed and sent to me the same day of the inspection. I am completely satisfied with Andy's work and would use him again. Highly recommend!

Jeff went over details for what he was looking for and when he found something of concern he explained why it was a problem and the different options to remedy it. I felt informed and secure from the information that Jeff provided that we made the right choice in purchasing our home! I highly recommend Home pro!

He said drip edges were there that weren't, ventilation wasn't there, that was. He outright lied to me about the seals around my power mast and ventilation that were dry rotted. He somehow missed a 6 inch diameter hole in the sheathing. Along with 23 other pieces of sheathing (plywood) that were rotted and falling apart. He missed a toilet valve that didn't work, the oven outlet that didn't work, a GFI outlet in the kitchen that kills lighting to 2 rooms when it is switched to protect the circuit, and quite a few other things that an actual certified home inspector that cares about his work should have found. This guy either doesn't care, or is friends with the selling agent and wanted to help her out. Either way, save yourself some money in the long term and spend the extra $100 now to get someone that cares about their work and their customers satisfaction. Once this guy saw the pics I texted him of the things he missed he simply ignored me.. Stay away from this business in Fort Wayne.

The home we were buying was relatively new and I wasn't really expecting much, but he found many things that needs my attention not just now, but down the road (like furnace is working but it is approaching the end of its life expectancy.) Also, I'm not a handy man and not very familiar with certain terms. However, the pictures made it easy to comprehend. Highly recommended.

This was my 2nd house and it was a bit older than my 1st, so I wanted a thorough inspection. The…read moreguy that was sent took a decent amount of time to inspect. I've had no problems with my home since I purchased it, so I guess that's a good thing. The reason they get a low score is because of the things we caught that he was wrong about. He said there were no vents on the 2nd floor for heating and cooling. He also said there were no handrails on either set of stairways. After he left my realtor and I walked through and there are vents in every room on the 2nd floor and hand rails on the stairways. If that's the worst he missed, I'm thankful. So far, my house hasn't burned down or flooded, so I feel lucky.

As a first time home buyer, I really appreciated the time and detail he provided to help me understand the house I was buying. Early the next morning, I had the inspection report, and was so excited to see that he had told me about all the potential issues while we were in the house too. He also spent extra time trying to investigate the crawl space under the front porch, as we were having trouble finding out what was in there. What makes Steve extraordinary at his job is that he's just a joy to work with. Who else can say their inspection was fun? I was smiling the whole time. Not just because my future house is super cool and has a lot of character, but also because Steve made me feel valued as the client. When we did encounter a minor issue, like getting some wood on the front door fixed, he provided me with recommendations on who to hire to get the work done.

Even with a lack of communication, it should be understood that this home is MINE, and does not belong to your inspectors. They are not entitled to come in my home any time just because they were hired by buyers. I did not appreciate that he had no respect for PRIVATE PROPERTY. The inspector allowed the buyers to bring a group of family members in four separate cars into my home. They treated my house like a public facility--using my personal toiletries, towels, and bathrooms without permission. I did not appreciate that no one was told to STAY IN THEIR CAR. How many onlookers does your staff need in an inspection??? I did not appreciate the said unwanted family members scraping their boots on the sidewalk before entering MY CLEAN HOME as if the home was already theirs and they could come and go as they pleased. They were obviously not helping the inspector with anything, they were just at my home to relax and invade my privacy. Most alarmingly, I discovered at 7:00 PM that my refrigerator/freezer had been shut off at the breaker. This level of carelessness could have resulted in significant property damage / food loss. When I was finally able to read the end result inspection list to my home buyers, it was noted that 2 breakers in the kitchen were not working, The inspector, Mark, shut the BREAKER OFF TO THE WHOLE KITCHEN, then requested that a licensed electrician come and fix them. I AM AN ELECTRICIAN. Wow ! Is this how you drive away home buyers ??? With stupidity? I am a licensed IBEW electrician. Would I honestly live here 11 yrs with broken outlets ??? And I really did not appreciate the inspector, Mark Ballge, allowing his clients, the buyers, and added family members, who did NOT OWN MY HOME, to come in and make themselves comfortable, forcing and wasting another extra hour of time into MY heavy schedule. They were not invited by ME into MY HOME and I should have been warned about this set up thru my realtor. Once again, they should have BEEN TOLD TO LEAVE.
