I got my hair done today with Yuri and the whole experience was just really relaxing. Everyone was super friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. I made a pretty big change, and Yuri really took the time to listen to what I wanted and understood my hair type immediately. That made me feel confident I was in good hands. They were very attentive the entire time, and even offered a warm coffee which was such a nice touch. I also love that they use aloe vera in their products my hair used to feel dry, and now it feels so soft and silky. It honestly feels like a complete transformation. I went there to have my dark roots bleached so all my hair will be blonde as usual. They did a HORRIBLE JOB!!! Instead of making my roots blonde, they "matched" the dark color of my roots with their dye. I went there a blonde and came out a brunette, now, for the holidays. When I told Nina that I was upset and I didn't tell her to make me a brunette, she went to her boss, probably the owner , The boss, one with long brown hair, came to me and told me that if I don't have enough money I should have told them. They would have given me a cheaper hairdresser. WHAT??? Never told her I don't have enough money. So, I think that they mess up hair on purpose so the clients will pay more for the redoing the hair. They both ganged on me, the client. Of course I had money and by the way one needs to pay ONLY cash there. Hmmm. I wonder why... AGAIN, if you go there you should know that the CLIENT IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT even if the client was the victim here. HORRIBLE JOB!!! read more

I am extremely particular, and as a general rule, I don't go to a hairstylist without a referral. That said the referred, Nina, was not available for the time I needed to get a haircut. They offered Flor, as an available Stylist. I almost said no, but I was already several months past. I need a haircut and had an event coming up. Flor might be a newer Stylist (several years in) but the style she gave me, was absolutely beautiful. And I am extremely particular. In fact, my hair has actually influence my business since I'm an influencer. The silo left with today, was beautiful. Supermodel even. I'm extremely happy and would definitely recommend giving her a try. I don't think I've ever gone to a stylist before, or without them cutting more often I would like. When I told Flor, I'd like to keep the links, she took it very seriously. I need to leave it with 4 inches gone after that request, but she took an inch off and stuck to her word. For the record, I have " tricky hair." I am mixed race, with European mother and Latin father. I have beautiful hair, but, very fine strands and a lot of it. Extremely curly and frizzy and still getting used to California weather. I left with a gorgeous long layer, style unlike any of her pictures, and that looks like Eva Longoria style. I was excited to go here after reading the reviews but unfortunately was very disappointed with my experience. The lady doing my trim got me in almost the next day, which was appreciated. Upon arriving they have you fill out paperwork so they can basically try and upsell you on everything they offer. The stylist, upon first meeting me, made very bizarre and personal comments to me that most would consider rude. She was shaking profusely while doing my trim- struggling to get a straight line for the bottom of my hair (not sure what her deal was). She got way too personal way too fast and I felt uncomfortable. Then she charged $60 to literally trim the bottom of my hair, no layers and no shampoo (as per my request) Definitely not worth the price for such a strange experience. read more

went in to touch up my roots (all over blonde highlights). the last time i went the girl completely neglected the bottom half of my hair leaving it darker and with a lot less highlights. this most recent time i went a different girl spent too long on the bottom and neglected the top and the back middle part as well(highlights not well distributed) it ended up looking yellow brassy and orange and very uneven (the bottom was blonde and was the tone i requested). she said if after some washes i didn't see a significant change she would tone it again, which I greatly appreciated. After almost 2 weeks I went back to get it toned again and she added a lot of ash to the toner and made my hair a weird brown grey color. super disappointed as this place looks nice and clean and is near my house. read more

I took my husband for a close shave for Valentines's Day, while I indulged in a blow out prior to our dinner at Cow By Bear. We had to be porridge eating ready! Upon arrival, we received a tour from the staff and a welcome beverage of choice, I went with a rose' for the day. Cookies, candies and other sweets were available in keeping with this love theme. Tonya was my stylist. She washed, conditioned and styled hair. She added a little bounce to my step. I loved the lipstick message on the mirror for the day ""Love is in the Hair". My husband had his shave with Stephanie. It was his first professional shave. All I know is he was smooth enough to kiss after she was done with him! Best salon experience I've ever had, hands down!!! I was long overdue for a haircut and noticed this salon on my lunch break so I went online to check out reviews. Not only were the reviews (rightfully) great, but they also happened to have a same-day appointment available. I booked a women's wash, haircut, and style with Stephanie. Upon arriving, the receptionist was very welcoming and explained that all of their products including the aromatherapy are by Eufora, a line of natural, but effective products (that also happen to smell amazing).The receptionist offered me a refreshment, gave me a quick tour of the salon, and introduced me to Stephanie. Stephanie was super friendly and took the time to understand the kind of style I wanted, I didn't feel rushed and while I was showing her pictures of styles I liked she knew all the questions to ask to help me narrow down what I liked about them and what I wanted for my cut/style. She also made sure that she understood my hair type, my hair is wavy/frizzy and not so manageable so I appreciated that she made a point to keep this in mind for my hair cut. Once we decided on the length I wanted we started with a dry cut before the wash. Their hair wash station is incredibly relaxing! They have aromatherapy going, quality shampoo/conditioner and soothing music. While your conditioner sinks in they even wrap your hair in a hot towel and put a cover over your eyes so you can really relax. After washing my hair she went over the products that she decided to use for my hair by explaining what they each do and why she chose them for my hair type. I love that she cut my hair in a way that added texture/volume to my hair without being choppy or adding unflattering poof. I also liked the way she styled my hair and I'm really picky, I've even touched up my hair right after going to blow out salons like Dry Bar or Blo, but I didn't feel like I needed to with the detailed way she styled it. I've never been someone who felt like it was necessary to go to a salon to get regular haircuts until now (I used to opt for cheaper options like Great Clips between salon cuts), but I will definitely be coming here regularly to see Stephanie and because of the luxurious experience/environment this salon offers! read more

Trim is the key word, not cut inches off! I like to keep my hair on the longer side and told her so. However what she showed me "needed" to be cut ended up being much shorter in the end. I originally did a 5 star review but had to change it because my hair turned orange. The owner Tiffany and the stylist I saw Stephanie mixed a base color that looked good for the first wash but then turned a coppery orange. I even toned it myself twice but it didnt work. Something about the natural products they use did not work on my hair. I called the owner several weeks later to let her know what happened and she questioned my integrity because it had been 7 weeks. She suggested it was from the toner I used which wouldn't happen when using a level 9 toner that is supposed to correct any orange. I've been going here for a couple years now (more I think? Pandemic time has got me a little wonky). I've always walked out very happy with my hair. You know, we've all had that "eh its not really perfect but its ok" feeling after walking out of a salon, but I've never had that here. I always look amazing. My usual gal I see is Alissa. She just knows what to do with my hair. I do not. Thank goodness she does. I always get compliments from my friends and husband. My husband is an engineer. You know how they are...they don't notice hair. He NOTICES my hair after I get it done there. He notices and then genuinely compliments my hair. You don't understand. That's like getting one of those British palace gaurds to giggle . Even my son's daycare lady was like "omg girl that hair". And I was like "I know" *hair swish* (I really should be posting pictures but I'm not a selfie type of person.) I also got a balayage from Stephanie back in April. Dude, she is masterful. I looked like a different person. My hair wasn't damaged somehow. You always expect a little damage but nope. Also, the way she did that appealed to my laziness because I am bad about hair touchup stuff. Almost a year later I still look fab. I'm scheduled to see her again in about a month. Everyone in there is super friendly. They offer beverages and have a nice bathroom. The relaxing room in the back would be better if I just shut up once in a while and enjoy the peace but I just keep talking. This is the 3rd salon I have tried since moving to northern San Diego County and I finally found the right place. The other 2 salons were way more expensive and I received nothing better at either of them. They use Eufora products which are nontoxic and gentle on the scalp and hair. Alissa is very pleasant and always does a good job with my color, and she has also done haircuts and a straightening procedure. She is so knowledgeable and experienced that she travels to other parts of the US to train other stylists. This place is pretty awesome. I had a great haircut by Liz which was preempted by a super relaxing shampoo and facial emulsion. Is that the right word? Massage and so forth with good tingly cream and a hot towel. I'm going with emulsion. The haircut was great, complimentary drink of wine was very un-manly of me, but after an intense brunch eating session I couldn't stomach a beer. Wine was perfect.
