Seriously, all these 5-star reviews are on point. Tucked away in a shopping center, I am so glad…read morethat I happened upon this place first for a cut, then for a drastic dye and cut. Brandi is super, super friendly and very skilled in what she does. She'll be honest about how things look instead of just agreeing to whatever, which I 110% appreciate. My first visit, I chopped off quite a bit of hair. Need change sometimes! I showed her a couple of pictures I found and, although they were pathetically small, she understood what I wanted and improved on it! I loved my hair - it was also a great bonus that she thinned it out for the hot summer months. My hair is THICK. My second visit was a bit more drastic. I've been fiending for a color in my hair for quite some time - box red wasn't cutting it anymore. I waited a couple of months after my box dye and sprang right in here on a Saturday. (I got really, really lucky with a same-day appointment. Call ahead!) While since then I've had to change my hair due to a career change, I wish I could go back to it and would 100% recommend Brandi for anyone else wanting to do anything like that as well.

Nikki did a fabulous layered cut with curtain bangs, and I've had my hair toned by both of them--each time I loved the results. They're also excellent at hair coloring if you're into a wide array of color options. The vibe is trendy and welcoming, not at all like a pretentious high-end salon. After asking around, I learned about Desert Flower from a friend/ neighbor, who specifically recommended Mickey, who is wonderful. She's great at her craft and truly cares about her clients. I've since visited the salon three times as of August 2025 and have left happy every time. I've been struggling with finding a hair dye to cover my greys without causing my scalp to turn red and itch uncontrollably. It's been an issue for me for the past couple of years and I've tried lots of different salons and products in the hopes for a better outcome. Mickey has been helping me find a better solution, and has patiently done a couple of test patches for me. I think we've finally found the holy grail and I'm just so grateful for her persistence and research. Thank you, Mickey!

I hesitated to go back after noticing some red flags during my previous visit, but I decided to give her another chance. Unfortunately, this last visit confirmed my concerns. After washing my hair a few days later, I realized how uneven and poorly done the cut was. When I expressed my disappointment and mentioned that I wouldn't be recommending her anymore, she became defensive. It was clear something was off, and I was right. The cut was so uneven that when I went to another salon to get it fixed, the stylist was shocked. Her supervisor even had to step in to correct it and mentioned she had never seen anything so bad before. Thankfully, they were able to fix it, but it was quite a crazy situation. My new stylist was also surprised and asked, "What happened?" It looked like someone had randomly hacked at my hair.
