I first met Tracy when I brought my BMW Z4 convertible in (a 2-seater) for reupholstery. I showed her the car and the part of the driver's seat that was worn pretty badly. I explained that I wanted it to look like new and perfectly match. Tracy explained to me that even with the exact same leather that it couldn't be a perfect match because I'd have a mix of old leather and new leather. And so, I decided to reupholster both seats. Next, Tracy brought her husband in to look at the car and select the correct fabric. They went through a number of fabric books, then he ultimately pointed to one and said he thought that was the one. It didn't look quite grainy enough, but he or Tracy said something about it being a bad sample - it was a while ago and I don't recall exactly how this was stated. In retrospect, I should have demanded to see a full-size sample before moving forward so I could see for myself if it was a match. Instead, I trusted their judgement to proceed forward and scheduled a time to bring in my car. Next, I brought in my car at the scheduled time. Tracy called me later that morning to inform me that the wrong fabric had come in and it would take an extra couple of days for the correct fabric to come in. I agreed to leave my car for the extra time due to the mistake. Note that I paid for the rest of the balance over the phone prior to seeing the finished work. Next, I came in to pick up my car once it was ready. I immediately saw that the fabric was wrong and I immediately pointed this out to them. I informed them that I would need to think over what to do and talk it over with my girlfriend as well. The fabric was the correct color but the wrong grain. It was very obvious that it did not match the other leather in the car, including the head rests. I felt really bad for them since I knew they were going through some very difficult personal troubles over the past few months. But it should have been very obvious before they installed the leather that it was not a match - not even close. When I called back to inform them that I wasn't going to be able to accept the wrong fabric having pondered the situation, they made it sound like it was my fault, saying I was the one who picked out the leather to install. I was shocked and a bit speechless. I was not the expert. I made my expectations clear to Tracy at the beginning and went with their selection. I was open to paying *something* toward them fixing it and putting in the right fabric and asked them to send me full-size samples hoping we could negotiate some sort of compromise. When I got the samples none of them were a match. When I called Tracy, she said I was sent incorrect samples and I really couldn't understand her explanation fully as to what I did and didn't get sent. Apparently, some of the samples weren't even for a BMW. I asked her to check about sending me a match and she said she'd look into it. After over 2 weeks, I can tell nothing is coming and there is no good faith from them to do anything to correct this. Thus, I filed a dispute with my credit card company. I can't even remember the last time I've had to file a dispute when my credit card info wasn't stolen - might have been 7 years or so ago. If the credit card dispute fails, I'll have to decide whether or not to pursue the matter in small claims court. What a mess. Wish I had just kept the original fabric and never went through any of this. read more

My worn out seats have been resurrected! Thank you Blazing Auto Trim. I was having back issues due to the driver seat in my 2001 Cherokee XJ. The foam was pretty much gone, there was zero support, and my hips were sinking. After sending Tracey some photos and a quick phone chat, I had my friend drop the seats off while I was out of town. Without having to give much instruction other than I needed them revitalized, Blazing Auto Trim came through strong. They put in new foam, repaired some vinyl tears, and now I'm sitting proper, finally. This was WAY cheaper than buying aftermarket seats ($250 each vs $600 each). read more

Just had Blazing Auto Trim replace the cracked vinyl on my Wrangler's leather drivers seat. Jason did a great job, and while he was working I had him look at the seat heater mat since it had been behaving intermittently. Jason noted a burn hole in the mat, so I picked up a new one at the dealer, swung by Blazing and he put in the new one for no additional charge! Great customer service and the new vinyl looks like original again, and the seat heater is working correctly now! Good price on the repair as well. read more

Only had a visor put on my front windshield but the quality was there. Reasonably priced and owner was very nice. I will return if I need more tinting done in the future. He also has good Classic Rock music playing in the background. read more

If you need convertible repair/replacement , GO HERE! It is nice to know that there are still hard working, honest people in the auto repair industry. I've used them twice. The first time, they replaced a convertible top that someone slashed to break into my car. Perfect job! The second time, they spent 8 hours fixing the hydraulics in my convertible top. Since they determined that I would need a $1k part to fix the problem 100%, I decided not to do it. They didn't charge me! I practically begged them to take money for the work they did do, but they wouldn't take it. Insisting that since they only improved my convertible assembly from 50% to 95%, they would only take payment for the cost of a $200 part they installed. Great people, great work! read more

I went to them with a project that I started and could not finish. I'll give them that, it is way more difficult to put something back that you didn't take off yourself; but I explained what the situation was, showed pictures and got a quote of minimum $500. Since their workload was high, I got an appointment 2 weeks later. After waiting for 2 weeks, I took the convertible top to them an the price jumped to minimum $1200 upon the guy taking a look at it. More then I was expecting, but I would have paid it. Right before I was getting ready to leave the top with them and go, he changed his mind and said "I'm making good money right now and don't need this kind of a headache". In conclusion I lost two weeks waiting on my appointment with them, and they canceled it because they are making good money on easier work. read more

I had literally moved to Denver the day before and the zipper in the back window of my jeep fell apart in my hand... The guy here helped me out with a new zipper pull and on top of that sewed the rear window where it was coming apart. Truly a life saver and so kind... I emailed Tracey at Blazing Auto Trim about replacing the soft top on my Honda S2000. I had decided to buy the top myself and take it to them to install. She said they would do that. I bought the top and was considering trying the install myself, but the number of parts that have to be taken off to get it done were daunting. I decided to have Blazing do it and could not be happier with that decision. Tracey gave me an appointment a couple of weeks out. They got my car done that day. It looks great. Disregard any other review ... this is a terrible operation. I never write reviews, but is this is not how business should be done. Broke the connecting plastic for the trim they had to remove to do the work. Denied they had broke it and had a huge fit every time I calmly asked to talk about it with them or ask any questions. It was really weird. Stuff happens, I get it, but there was just so much attitude and unwillingness to listen right from the get go combined with personal attacks. They wanted to just put some glue on it without addressing the damage. Not sure why there was so much defense on their end .... people like to have a say/understand what it going on with their car. I now have to spend a lot of hours and three times the cost of the repair to get the new replacement piece. Again, I really don't know why they were so argumentative at every step of the process when I was nothing but agreeable. read more

I brought my '94 Miata in for a new rear window. The owners were helpful, friendly and very responsive. They did an excellent job, and when I asked if the zipper on the window needed to be replaced, they found a way to repair it instead of replace it which saved me some money. I had a great experience and highly recommend them for your auto upholstery needs. I recently had them replace the driver side bottom insert and the center armrest on my 2007 Acura TL - Type S. I take excellent care of my car but after 10 years, the leather on the bottom of the driver's seat was showing it's age as well as signs of beginning to tear (and the padding in the center armrest had disintegrated). I researched seat repair options with my dealer and unsurprisingly, the cost vs. benefit of replacing and/or recovering the entire seat at the dealer just didn't pencil out. One option suggested by my dealer's body shop was to go see Blazing Auto Trim. The thought was they could simply replace the bottom insert. I stopped by for an assessment and received a straightforward and reasonable quote (including fixing the armrest). They even had the original leather (for the seat) and vinyl (for the armrest). I made an appointment and they made the repairs as promised. I'm very pleased with the quality of their work as well as their friendliness and professionalism throughout the process. I will definitely use them again in the event I need auto upholstery work. read more

The driver's seat bolster starting coming apart within 6 months of purchasing my 2002 BMW 330 new but I ignored it and never took it back under warranty. Now 12 years later the seat looked terrible and I needed it fixed fast as I had purchased a new vehicle and had to sell this car. The car was at Schomp BMW when I called Blazing Auto Trim and talked to them about repairing it. They said they could pick up the car at Schomp that same day, repair it, and deliver it back to Schomp the next day. They gave me the option of repairing it with vinyl or leather and told me they thought they had the same leather already in stock. I chose the leather for $295. The job was indeed complete and the car back at Schomp the next morning and looks FANTASTIC! You literally cannot tell it was ever repaired. (my wife was sure she'd be able to tell but after looking it over with a critical eye pronounced it perfect). Sold the car a few days later and the new buyer couldn't tell the leather seat had ever been repaired. I HIGHLY recommend them! Thanks for the GREAT service and FANTASTIC job. read more
