The photographers overall did a decent job capturing the typical shots. This was my first…read moreexperience being Mother of the Bride (MOB), so I was pretty overwhelmed the day of the wedding and just did what the photographer said. I presumed she was checking to make sure the shots looked good. I was very disappointed that the photographer used a small hotel room with 2 queen beds for shots of the bride in her dress, me putting on her veil, etc. Some of what should've been great pics have part of a bed in the picture. I wish she had said something to me as my son was staying across the hall and had a bigger, more attractive hotel room we could've used. And despite the fact that the Bride signed the contract and it was my (MOB's) credit card on file the whole time (i.e. my name/cc/contact info were part of the contract), overwhelmingly the majority of the photos were of the groom's family. I would've thought that whatever she took of one side of the family, she would do the same for the other. Wrong! She didn't even get a shot of me and my husband with the bride/our daughter (yes, you read that right), but there were many of the MOG and FOG with the groom. As a parent of the bride you're juggling so much in the moment that you're not noticing which shots are being taken, if one person needs to move in a little, if there's a bed in the way, etc...and you shouldn't need to. That's the photographer's job. Despite having extra time booked, pictures took sooooo long that the reception schedule got messed up. The photo team was leaving just as the dance floor opened up. I knew my daughter would really want pics of the dancing, so I extended the photographer and videographer each by one hour. The OT fee is $500/pro/hour.
