I needed a car pretty much right away, and did all my preliminary research (Forbes "Cars to Avoid" article is a recommended read for anyone looking for a car, articles span many years for used lookups- available online) and figured out what I could pay and what was important to me. I found the one. The price was fair, not great. They were not interested in my crumbling car for trade-in. Those are the minuses. The service was EXCELLENT. Understanding my situation, they trusted I wasn't playing around and brought the car to me. I got to test drive in familiar territory, make sure my large passenger fit, and spend less than half an hour away from work doing so, which was vital that week. They got the financing together for me (average financing product) and all the paperwork and picked me up the next day to get my car. I even forgot my plates and they brought me back home to take care of that! Blasius South - Happy owner of a 2014 Toyota Corolla! - Used Car Dealers Near Me - Stratford, Connecticut

BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a 2019 Ford F-350 from Blasius South 12/4/2024. I just received the plates and registration today 2/27/25... 85 days later. After they promised to overnight them, I received them with 2 day shipping label. They registered my vehicle 2/20/25 and now I only have 3 days left to get it inspected. But the return envelope for the dealer plate has an overnight label, imagine that. In the time it has not been in my name I had to undergo repairs at a local Ford Dealer amounting to $2,178.68 and the loss of the use of my truck for a week. The dealer wouldn't cover the full repairs only half.. even though the truck was NOT in my name. (I was within the 60 day warranty, but around 900 miles over the 3000 mile part of the warranty). Every time I have called to check I got the runaround and the person who deals with titles is never available. Even when they told me to call them or they would call me back, it never worked out. I stopped by the dealership 1/11/2025 to inquire about the registration. They stated the paperwork was submitted to their third party registration company and they'll register it in the order they received the paperwork. They were unable to give me a time frame. On 1/30/2025 I spoke with the auction Blasius purchased the vehicle from, and they stated that Blasius has received the title 1/28/2024. It took me 20 minutes on the phone to find the title, when all I got from the dealer was "I'm not sure when it'll come it normally doesn't take this long." My insurance was about to drop the policy due to "Discovery of fraud or material misrepresentation in obtaining the policy." Luckily my insurance agent worked it out. The sales manager is a very hard person to deal with. While trying to purchase a vehicle he was friendly, but when sh*t hit the fan he had not a care in the world. When I had my $2,178.68 issue, he said "we're not partners on this" raised his voice and even cursed over the phone while I was trying to calmly explain my view. I've asked to speak to the general manager on multiple accounts but he's always "out of office." I figured I would receive better customer service after spending almost $50,000 there. I would rather walk barefoot across the country rather than ever purchase another vehicle from Blasius. read more

Blasious south stratford is a scam!!! General Manager, Mike Legase INTIMIDATES me to receive my full refund I am entitled to!!! I purchased my used vehicle from them and was told I HAD to purchase VIN window etching as all their cars have this before coming on their lot. Turns out my car doesn't have the vin etching that I was FORCED to pay for. Fast forward, I have been requesting reimbursement for 2 months. I'm finally told a check will go out for the service. When I asked about the tax, this was the response I got!!!! We were going to buy 1 of 2 cars here. A white 2019 Subaru Forrester Premium with 29,000 miles on it for around $22,000 and a White 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan with 10,000 miles ish for also $22,000. We went home and ran the Carfax...the Subaru is from NH with STRUCTURAL DAMAGE. The VW was a LEMON buy back from NY. If you buy cars from out of state you dont have to report these issues...ALWAYS RUN A CARFAX & DEMAND ONE WHEN YOU BUY A CAR, SERVICE RECORDS ARE NOT THE SAME THING. If they will not provide a Carfax then they are hiding something, they will not be getting our business and we will be buying our VW from an ACTUAL reputable VW dealer. We walked away because of the lack of transparency. Honestly we may have bought the VW if we knew what the lemon issue was with it. read more

Went in with my boyfriend for him to check out a truck. We drove over an hour and a half one way so once we figured out he liked it, we really wanted to take it home that night. We worked with Victor, who was not only incredibly nice to my boyfriend (the buyer), but to me as well. Victor was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and at no point did we feel any pressure from him. They even gave my boyfriend a fireman's discount and worked with him a lot on the price. The sales manager was also very nice and willing to work with him, and worked hard to get him to be able to take the truck home that night (it was about 3:30 when we got there, 6:30 when we left). Not once did we feel any type of doubt or feel lesser than other potential customers since we are so young, as we have at other competing dealerships. I would first like to say that while I love my car and it is a car that I have always wanted, I am dissatisfied with the service I received during and after my car buying experience. I will start by saying that I had been in an accident previously and wanted a nice SUV and had the Q5 in mind. I went in to Blasius south since I lived in the area at the time, I purchased a 2014 Audi Q5. Almost immediately after driving off the lot lights were coming on in the dash. I got the issue fixed through audi of Fairfield which thank god I-had a warranty for, however they ended up having my car one month and putting Thousands of miles on it due to this particular part being sourced from germany and issues they had fixing it. Mind you I didnt have this car for more than a few months at this point. I got my car back only to then start having issues with a notification on the dash for a tire sensor. Once I again brought it into audi (assuming I still had a warranty), they told me that the one year warranty I purchased would need to be renewed so I was unable to get the sensor replaced. Low and behold, I found out also that the finance company Blasius signed me up with was no longer financing my vehicle! I called Eni (sales rep) and he told me to come in since Id moved 30 minutes away for an appointment to meet with finance to possibly purchase a new warranty. So i drove down only to be told finance couldnt see me that day which was a waste of my time and energy. Since then Ive called, e-mailed and even asked to speak to the owner of this establishment and I have been put on the back burner with no follow -up. Other issues I had were the finance department person was very cold and unwelcoming as I signed my life away to get the best finance deal possible for this vehicle while asking for thousands of dollars more on top of what I already offered, in other words; they seemed to have lacked in the relationship component with the banks and it was a very black and white process. I should have went to my previous sales place or just bought a new car were my thoughts at that point. My reason for buying was that The Audi had low mileage and was well maintained from the previous owner, and while I place no blame on anyone for any mechanical issues that cannot be predicted- I do NOT appreciate how this was handled and feel now I could have done better now. Also I was only given one key instead of two for my vehicle at purchase and was never given an answer about it. Most people want to feel good about a big purchase, not just when they have money in hand but throughout. Do your research when you decide to buy as things do come up with cars, you want to make sure you are buying from the right place and to be treated with respect both during the process and after! read more

They seem to have a nice selection of automobiles. We traveled from 4 hours away to look at a particular car. I had several conversations with the salesman. We get there and find ourselves ready to buy. Payment was going to be a bit higher than expected but hey it usually is. Our end was 900.00 in fees that we had no idea of. They wanted almost 700.00 for document fees. When asked why so much the answer was because they can. The 2nd charge was 200.00 for window vin etching which was already done. Called ahead of time to test drive two vehicles. Drove an hour to Blasius South and the one car was taken apart so I couldn't drive it and the other car was parked behind another car and was on E. Do not come here and buy a luxury car this place is highly unprofessional. Initially I saw a car on their website that interested me so I called to make sure that I can stop by to see the car. I was told the car was "not ready yet" for over 3 weeks (!) even though the car was listed and pictured on their website. When I was finally able to come see it I quickly realized why it took so long. The manager of the lot takes new cars that they get and joyrides them for his own leisure. The car was filled with personal items; receipts, lotion, even baby equipment. I wouldn't be surprised if he even went home at the end of each day and keeps it in his own garage. He drives an older Audi so it's pretty clear that he is trying to show off in the car that you will end up buying because he can't afford the newer one. This is so unprofessional, annoying to to be honest corny by the manager. I could only imagine what else he is doing in these cars for his leisure. DO NOT COME HERE. read more
