Some things do last forever - Blaqpaks. I've been the proud owner of a Blaq bag AP Messenger bag for 10 years now and it's seen its days! Whether it was biking in the Portland rain, a snow day, or an entire glass mason jar smoothie breaking *inside* of the bag, this bag has taken a beating- and man, oh man, does it stand up well. Some unfortunate things happened this year and I needed to buy a second bag in its place. I stopped by Blaq and they were able to kindly assist me in selecting tons of custom colors, straps, and even the color of the inside lining. It took about two weeks to finally get the bag into my hands, but this new AP Messenger seems to stand up just as well as his dad. I love how comfortable it fits on the shoulder, and the bag looks smart and unique and not your typical "backpack". The price does not even match how much use and life and value you will see with this bag for years to come. Highly recommend.

The selection here is fantastic, with everything from jackets and hiking shoes to thermal gear and hats, all at factory outlet prices. I've found deals that beat most online discounts, especially during seasonal sales. The staff deserves a shoutout. They're genuinely helpful, not pushy, and always willing to check stock or help you find the right size. You can tell they actually use the products and know what they're talking about. The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate -- no digging through messy racks like some outlets. The checkout process is quick, and the team keeps the line moving even when it gets busy. Pro tip: Sign up for the Columbia Rewards program. I've scored some extra savings and early access to sales that make it worth it. Overall, this is one of the best outlet shopping experiences in the Portland area. Whether you're gearing up for a hike or just looking for a solid rain jacket (we are in the PNW), Columbia has you covered -- literally! LMAO

I was specifically hoping to find boots and/or a jacket. On top of having an entire floor full of clearance jackets, they also had about a dozen racks under tents outside of the store. It seemed like they probably had every Columbia jacket that had been made within the past few years. There was also a ton of Mountain Hardware and Sorel. The Mountain Hardware jackets were about 25-50% off, which was still significantly cheaper than REI or anywhere else that I know of. I ended up feeling so overwhelmed by the jacket selection that I decided I needed to do some research, and come back. I ended up leaving with two pairs of snow boots: 1 Columbia, and 1 Sorel. I got both pairs for $55, including tax and a very small roundup for the National Park fund. I've been looking for boots for a couple of weeks, and the cheapest I've found comparable boots anywhere else was anywhere from $69-129. So, I was beyond stoked to find two pairs I liked in the clearance section. They were also having a store wide BOGO half-off sale, which is how the total ended up so low. I didn't have, and have actually never had any of the issues with outlet stores that other people brought up in their reviews. I used to work at the outlets in Folsom. Most of the merchandise isn't damaged or defective-- it's just overstock or barely out of season. The boots that I purchased are honestly of similar quality to brand new boots from DSW. I just got really lucky (and have a seventh sense for when things will be on sale due to all my years of working in retail). Staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience and I would definitely shop here again.

Those shelves once held the magic where the cheap and quirky gleamed, Now the prices sit there towering far higher than I dreamed. I wandered through the upper floor, all pristine, neat, and new, But the true delight was down below, where hidden treasures grew. Now the swell of cost has smothered that old familiar spark, And taking all the kiddos' toys? That's what really hit the mark. Sure, I found a gem or two that made my heartbeat skip, But joy can turn to sorrow with a single tightened grip. So hear my plea and soften don't make thrifters pay in gold; Bring back the charm, the deals, the warmth, the stories once foretold. There is no dedicated parking, so finding a spot to park can be challenging at times. There are also a lot of unhoused people in the adjacent neighborhood. There is a lot of stuff here! It's actually a little overwhelming to try to navigate the store because there are literally racks and shelves of stuff everywhere. So Probably not the best place if you get claustrophobic easily. My favorite part about this place is definitely the bargain basement. You can sell your stuff, find good deals, and even rent ski and snowboard equipment! This place is basically a local REI with the chance to sell used equipment and score a good deal in in their bargain area. Check it out if you have a chance.
