Came here while in MS for work based on the good reviews, and I am SO GLAD that I did! The food is amazing!! The seafood is fresh and cooked on site and the sides are all homemade to perfection. I ordered the fried (you can get anything grilled as well) Catfish with gator platter to go with three sides: Mac and cheese, coleslaw and potato salad. The catfish was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and fresh on the inside, and was fully deboned. It was also not oily at all which is surprisingly pleasant with a fried item. It had just the right amount of flavor, and was excellent alone as well as with their homemade tartar sauce. The gator was cooked well with a kind of blackened flavor and was great on its own as well, and paired well with their homemade kickback sauce. The potato salad was the most delicious I have ever had in my life! It was bursting with flavor. The Mac and cheese was so delicious cheesy and creamy and you could tell someone made it from scratch. The coleslaw was a different flavor than I'm used to but was very very good and homemade as well. For dessert I got the beignets with sugar and cinnamon on 2 and powdered sugar on one. It came with choice of sauce and I got the chocolate dipping sauce. They were fresh, just sweet enough and a perfect end to a wonderful meal. The service was excellent and friendly and I even got to try a side of their seafood/crawfish étouffée for free. The cashier was knowledgeable and gave me enough sauce for my food without me even having to ask for more. They bring your food out to your car and the wait was not long. TLDR: Amazing fresh and homemade seafood and sides at this hidden gem with excellent and friendly customer service. Will definitely be back anytime I'm in the area! read more

I've passed this place a bunch of times in my 18w / can't fit it in the parking area or surrounding area , however we were in the area with another couple mid afternoon on memorial day weekend none of us care for fast food chains lots of other places weren't serving at that hour and a light bulb went off I said I know a place ! Wife and I shared a shrimp po-boy and catfish po-boy and they were great other couple enjoyed their food as well I did snag a few of my buddies onion rings thumbs up on them as well It's a counter order type deal with lots of covered outdoor seating and a nice staff to bring your food and refill your beverages Would recommend this over fast food chain without hesitation their french bread reminded me of Gambino's if it wasn't it was pretty darn close and the prices were reasonable Don't forget to tip it's hard to earn a decent living wage in small towns read more

Passing thru Philadelphia, we were searching for seafood. We ran across Blake's seafood. I was a little skeptical pulling up but I was pleasantly surprised with the food and service. I didn't know what to get but the cashier was helpful. I liked the fried crawfish. The onion rings were homemade and they were good. The grilled shrimp were small but they had a good flavor. Got there late for dinner and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Great seafood platter with one set of snow crab legs, boiled shrimp, crawfish and sausage with potatoes and corn. Liked it so much I went back the next day for lunch---fried shrimp po-boy and onion rings. Wished I would have had the time to hit Snow Boggers next door for dessert. For a "fast food" food truck seafood/crawfish place it's pretty different. Again if the camp house gritty look is not something you can handle this is not the place for you. Most of their business is pick up but the do have an open air eating area that has thick plastic walls and patio heaters during the winter and big fans during the summer and picnic tables and plastic chairs. Not always is service wonderful but usually it is. Usually high school students or young adults running the register and bring food out. I really enjoy the baked beans. Fried okra is ok. Onion rings are good! But I do liked the grilled catfish! Crawfish when in season is pretty good. Sometimes the shrimp is frozen and sometimes it is fresh from the gulf. They have crab legs also that my daughter enjoys. We go about 1 time a month. read more

I was there from Atlanta but I'm originally from Southwest Louisiana and some of my family in La., is in the crawfish farming business. This restaurant is rough looking where you order and around to where you eat outside - there's a frig outside that has food in it and it is nasty to look at while you are eating. But....... and that's a big big but - the food and service make up for it. I went two days straight and each day had the boiled 5lb crawfish special and it did not disappoint. Spiced great and the 5 lbs was just enough to please this Cajun man. My server - I think her name was Christian was a great host/waitress . Always checking on all her tables and making the eating atmosphere pleasant. I watched her work tables of two people and tables of 8-10 people . It was amazing to watch her jump into action and systematically pull multiple tables together for big groups effortlessly and have their orders and food on the table in no time. First off this place is a must try if your near Philadelphia Ms , I've eaten here for years and each time it seems better than the last , I had a seafood platter fish , fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, oysters , hush puppies slaw , baked beans. Everything was cooked perfectly and was very fresh . It's quality seafood and they have so many different menu items to choose from. Trust me it's delicious and you won't regret stopping here . It's also just a simple building and a small pavilion to eat at outside with heaters and picnic tables. The only thing I can say is that it's not a lot of food for the price the two seafood plates were $51 and I probably could eat at least half of what I got again. Ordered a pint of gumbo without rice--when I opened it at home, it was a little bit of gumbo with a lot of rice. Tasted like the roux had been burned. They need to train their cashiers on how to make change. First she didn't give the coins at all and shorted it by a $20. If I hadn't checked, I would have lost that too. If you are looking for a fancy seafood place, this isn't it. But if you are looking for good seafood at a reasonable price with wonderful people, then you'll be right at home here. The menu is extensive. There were 6 of us and we had catfish, boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, gator bites, chicken strips, hush puppies, fries, slaw, and a blooming onion. Just go!! Seriously, just go!! We've eaten seafood from FL, to Maine, to Seattle, to San Diego- coast to coast, and this was some of the best crab legs and shrimp ever enjoyed!! Excellent boiled shrimp, fried shrimp is just as good. They have smoked meats, Alligator plates, and crawfish as well as a large variety of other plates, sandwiches and possibly boys. Recently expanded their parking area so parking is not as big a hassle as it has been in the past. They have added a covered picnic table area for eating. read more

It's band competition season! So that means dinner on the road for my family. We chose this place because we happened to follow the signs. They were packed when we got there but this didn't stop them from greeting us or taking the time to answer my husbands million questions. The food came fast, fresh and hot. I'm not sure why there aren't many reviews but don't let it stop you from going by to see Blake and his family. The food was great and the hospitality was amazing. It does look like something you might find on the coast with outside seating, again don't let that keep you away. Of three days in town we ate there twice, I had a shrimp po boy and my husband had tamales and gumbo. I had to go back for more tamales to take with us that day. Then Sunday I had an oyster po boy at the recommendation of Blake's dad, it was great, I also had a tomato sandwich and James had to have more tamales! They also served bbq, you could buy produce, fresh shrimp to take home and fix your way. I will eat there 3 days the next time we are in town. Will we go back?
