Wow! I haven't been here in so long. My friend bought us tickets to see the Long Beach Regulators celebrating Cambodian heritage night. Local Khmer businesses were selling variety of food. We found parking easily upon arrival and quick check in at entrance. Love how it wasn't overly crowded. I had a great time watching the game while spending time with friends. Really enjoyed the music which made us get up and dance. There was a few times when we did get on the big screen which made it the highlight of the night. Went to my first game to this field last week for the new pro team LB Coast/Regulators as it's partially owned or invested by local Warren G There is plenty of parking usually for season holders in the main parking lot but if you aren't one you have lots parking around the field in the street So getting into the venue is pretty slow with security which is a little ugh and it can take a while to get food inside if you want to eat but everyone is super friendly though Players greeted us with free Pom Pom swag and there isn't a bad seat view honestly The bathrooms are just one set for each gender on one side of the field They tried their best to make it as fun as it would at a big league game with fun on screen games or in the stand trivia or challenges It's a good time if you can make it do it! Had fun at LBC's Blair Field for the Oakland Ballers vs Ling Beach Coast 2 game road trip we did. The field is legendary and well kept. Staff is friendly but very strict upon entering. Didn't mind this, as the line did move quickly. A nice team store, and great beer selection with some good ballpark food items. A great family friendly ballpark to visit if you think of joining your PBL team there. Will return and enjoy again soon! read more

Wonderful field. Nice screen out in centerfield. Fun, engaged crowd. Something has to be done about the concessions. Heavy restrictions on what you can bring in and it was a 27 minute wait to get a bag of popcorn and a bottle of water last Friday night. The stadium was far from full. We have all these tools trying to speed up the game but zero interest in streamlining the process to help us spend even more money at the park. Two lines, a few windows, no posted menu until you get to the head of the line. Is it so hard these days to pre-order digitally? Have a dedicated drinks window? Salt snack window? It really ruins the experience when you miss two full innings standing in line. They have two beer lines but nothing there to accommodate all of the kids that attend Dirtbags games. We have the Coast/Regulators coming in this summer and there will be a riot if that much game time is wasted standing in a tight line. Fix it, y'all. It's a drag. read more

I love coming here and so glad that Long Beach now has a minor league baseball team. I used to come here during the days of the MTV Rock n Jock softball games. Know before you go that cash is not accepted at the concession except for tip and clear bags only of a certain size are allowed. I found free parking next to my Alma Mater Wilson high school... there are other free parking sections and paid parking go to website for info. It was loads of fun to see the Inaugural game of The Regulators on Friday night. Warren G also did the ceremonial first pitch and gave a performance. I will say the Team won that night too!!! The DJ was great with the music selections as well kept the crowd hyped up throughout and in between innings. This just might be my summer thing to do. read more

Fun place to watch college baseball. I went today for the first time. Its a nice small baseball stadium home to the Long Beach State Dirtbags. Staff was friendly, prices are good, food was better than expected, and experience as a whole was fun. Tickets were about $20. Parking is limited in the lots but there is a ton of street parking nearby. I ordered a chili dog which was about $9. It was way better than expected. I also liked it better than a dodger dog. I also got a bag of kettle corn for $8 which is a pretty good size bag. I still have three quarters of it to eat at home. The stadium is very kid friendly with a kids run the bases day on Sundays. They have trivia and other events in between innings. read more

This stadium is as close to a minor league stadium as you can get. This stadium has better vibes than most minor league games and any college baseball game I've been too. Home of the dirt bags, nice facilities, covered bleachers beautiful grounds, lots of free parking all around the grounds, with a community park that wraps around the facility. This college ball field sits literally within the city of Long Beach and the area neighborhoods all use and access the green belt and parks around it. My most recent visit was a weekend game and the ball park was busy. Cheap to inexpensive tickets and a great way to spend an afternoon in the local community. This is a nice smaller college stadium that maintained very well and definitely a part of the neighborhood. 3.5 Stars - rounded up for the great location and easy access within the community. 00630 read more

Home to the Long Beach State Dirtbags. Most of the crowd were family members of the players. Cheap seats. Good sight lines. Enthusiastic organ player trying to pump up the crowd. Tiny bleachers but we had a good time watching some Division 1 ball. Bummed that they beat my UCLA Bruins but this is a fun small ballpark. read more

Home of the Long Beach State Dirtbags baseball team! There really is not a bad seat in the house because of it's size. Concessions offer the typical fanfare and is very affordable. If you happen to not like the concessions at the stadium, then there is Legend's Bar and grill that offer's Burger's, brats and chicken sandwiches as well. The most important part and I know what everyone is thinking. Is there alcohol served? yes! There is beer served here at the general entrance. However, there is hard alcohol served in the Pavillion area. The only downside the parking. There is available Blair Field parking, but when that fills up, there is parking around the park (Little Rec Park) and around the Wilson High School that is adjacent to the school. Everything at Blair field is easily accessible and all the staff are very helpful. It's a great place to enjoy a game! read more

This is a great ballpark. And it's only $15 a ticket! And a college park where you can buy beer! There is also a Dirtbag store so you can buy your souvenir t-shirt or hat. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because they really need to upgrade the bathrooms. They are bathrooms you would see at a high school built in the 1950s. Come on Blair Field! read more

They bring competitive games and as history has it, there are quite a few alumnis in Majors and former Major League Players groomed out of Long Beach State! Great stadium to catch a Long Beach state baseball game. Similar to a minor league field and the seats are perfect anywhere. They have concession but don't look for any vegetarian or vegan options so eat before you come. One thing I didn't like was today was kid run the bases day and it was so unorganized. They wouldn't allow parents on the field and they had the kids enter from first base and exit at 3rd base. They make you sign a waiver and don't tell you the kids exit at 3rd base. When the kids exited on the opposite side of the field they were left outside the field with numerous strangers trying to get player autographs. Anyone could have grabbed your kid and left the stadium. They definitely need to get better with that a liability waiting to happen. read more

We came across a Groupon to see the Dirtbags play at Blair Field and we had to take them up on their offer. It is across the street from my alma mater Wilson High School and the last time I was here was for a Rock n Jock event in the early 1990s. Overall, it's a good spot to watch a game. It doesn't get crazy crowded and it's small and easy to get around. They have a 49er's shop on site. But the best part is that since they are not on campus they can serve beer, which is something you can't have at the Pyramid. read more

My credit union has vouchers for free tickets sometimes so normally that's when I take my son. He always has a blast! They are an awesome team that play with a lot of heart. It's always fun going to games and never super crowded. Today my son won a free pizza for cheering loud so he loved that!! I've always run into friendly people here. Honestly Blair Field is such a hidden gem for the city of Long Beach. The field is immaculately beautiful rich with history as well as scenery. The fact that Wilson High gets to use this field for their home games makes me extremely jealous (wishing I went to a high school that played on this field). Dirtbag games are always super fun (I just recently went here with my pops to see the Dirtbags play Hawaii). They have a a good selection of tasty food and beers, and you can't go wrong with a bag of peanuts. It's exciting that they now have Friday night fireworks... fun stuff! Will be back! read more

Blair Field offers good college baseball at affordable prices and a nice combo of an old school, traditional stadium and modern amenities. It rates favorably compared to the stadiums at UCI and Cal State Fullerton. LOCATION: Just a couple miles west of the Long Beach State campus, Blair Field is just north of 7th Street in Recreation Park. Free parking is available around the park or on the residential streets. Be careful if you park right next to the stadium as your car could be hit by a foul ball. THE STADIUM: The stadium features two rows of super box seats (with waiter service), a walkway, and then several rows of box seating, followed by general admission grandstand seating (metal bleachers with backs). There isn't a bad seat in the house, and there's plenty of shade (especially on the first base side) as the roof extends pretty far. Although they no longer have the large analog clock topping the right field scoreboard, there is a modern, full-color screen with all the stats and player head-shots you need. The stadium houses a team store and concessions, and - since the stadium is off campus - you can even buy beer! If you're really trying to save money and aren't interested in financially supporting your team, there is a small area behind the left field wall where people set up at the park and watch the game. THE GAME: The Dirtbags are always competitive, and occasionally exceptional. They've made the College World Series four times, and have a long list of MLB alumni such as Troy Tulowitzki and Evan Longoria. Back in 2004, I was lucky enough to see Jered Weaver strike out 15 batters including 10 in a row to start the game. This year's team again features strong talent and clinched the Big West with a week to spare. As you'll find at minor league games, they have on field contests and shenanigans in between innings, and there's no mascot interrupting things during play. Brawls on the field between a weak batter up and a persnickety umpire (we're talkin 5 minutes of neck rolls, up in your face, reeeoooowwwrrrr action, sweet!)... A battle ax of a broad barking at the field to stop the violence in front of the children (shut it lady, why the hell do you think I'm still sitting here watching this boring ass baseball game!!) Women NOT catching balls to save their warm beers (my kinda girls!)... A shmale looking Pat-esque creature stuffing green apples into its face ( I have absolutely nothing funny here as I was and still am in a state of total shock and awe over this shapeless entity, wow, just wow)... A woman practically running over small children with her vroom vroomed motorized wheelchair as she laughed about it the whole way down the ramp (dang!)... A row of total dipshits yelling things like, "You may be number 1 but you play like number 2!?!?!" (genius guys, really, your commentary has added years to my life, really..)... A little old lady not taller than 4'10 dressed in all purple with the most adorable old lady square butt you will ever see (seriously, sooo cute!)... And last, but certainly not least, a total stranger offering me his salty nuts... Only in Long Beach ladies 'n' gents, and only at an Armada game at Blair Field! So last night, my good friend Aunny D lured me out of the house with the promise that her hot ass brother would be pitching. Seriously folks, it may sound twisted to have a huge crush on your best friend's brother, but take one look at that 6'7 piece of Dane De La Rosa ass and I dare you to judge me, hehe. Anyhoo, we made the long trek out to the LBC, passing up tempting stops like Mom's BBQ in IngleWOOOD and finally arrived around the third inning. We said our hellos to the fam and I think the score was something like 5-0, who knows, I was more interested in getting some beer and a tri tip sammich. Priorities people, who goes to the game for the sports? We then got our beers and our burger and our tri tip and our nachos and our...yeah, we ate (and?!) then proceeded back to our seats. We noshed, we talked trash, I yelled sweep the leg and then well, how boring is baseball. I mean, at least seeing the live game is slightly more entertaining than sitting at home and watching it, but honk shooo, baaahhoorrriiiing. My hubby and I were here for a Dirtbags game. Having never been to Blair Field before, it was a fun experience to be there rooting for my alma mater. Decent seats, smaller stadium but overall a good time. Free parking. If you're a CSULB alum, bring your alumni card and get a discount off your Dirtbag tickets! The restrooms were decent but a little old school and could use a little renovation. Loved the old fashioned snacks and food, beer and other desserts that they served. I've been here for many events throughout the years. Everything from High School to College baseball games to MTV Rock N Jock events. Just some notes on things to watch out for: 1) Watch out for foulballs!! Of all the baseball fields I've been to, the percentages for getting pegged are higher here than at most places. Not sure why. Maybe because home plate is further from the seats than other fields? Look out for ricochets off the roof, too! 2) Parking kind of sucks, too. When you arrive close to game time and you think you are lucky by seeing a good parking space, you aren't! Especially on Park across from Wilson High. There's a good chance that a foul ball will hit your car. Same goes for the first row of the unenclosed parking lot. And if you park in the enclosed parking lot, it's hard to get out. The spaces are angled in one direction and you have to try and make a u-turn in tight quarters to get out of there because there's only one way in and out. For some reason they never open the gate at the other end. Find street parking near the tennis courts. They are safer and easier to escape traffic. 3) Walking around the outside where the food is, is also a heads up area for foul balls. 4) It gets freakin' cold at night! Bring a jacket or a blanket! Minus the foul ball situation, great place to watch a game. read more

My first time here this weekend I was quite impressed by ease of access to the facility. There is free parking near and around the field. If there was paid parking, I did not see it. There is quite a bit of graffiti covering the parking area's and grown around the stadium, so it can be a bit rough finding the outline of a parking spot in area's but kind of fun. Entry into the stadium is confined to one entry point near the ticket office. Both are well staffed and don't leave you waiting long at all to enter and or purchase tickets. Once inside they have a decent variety of food to either your left or right and straight ahead to the ballparks main concession stand. I got my usual hotdog (They serve Nathan's) and a soda combo for $7.75. No complaints here. It's really a huge park with a one of the better kept fields at a college park that I've seen. There is ample seating and exits from the stands and it's built in a way that keeps you close to the action almost anywhere you sit. read more

This was my first trip to the field it's very nice. Went with the pops and had some fun. The grass is very well maintained the stand where nice regular bleacher seating. You have an option of box seats with waitress service if you like. They have the regular old snack food you would find at any old field. We took our little league Dirtbags (6 & 7 yr olds) team to watch the Long Beach St baseball team play and the kids were thrilled to see the real Dirtbags in action. It was a super cool time with lots of memories for the kids and parents alike. The Jr Dirtbags got to line up on the field next to the team for the National Anthem and root them on from an intimate fun atmosphere. Before, during and after the game the players were really great with the kids posing for pics and giving autographs. LB St has a great baseball tradition and then to top it all off, it was a Firework Friday night. We enjoyed a cool fireworks show after an exciting win that sent everyone home happy. read more

Came here for a Dirtbags game Friday with a bunch of friends - it was our friend's birthday, so we just piled into the grandstand behind home plate, drank beer, had hot dogs, threw confetti at our friend, and generally had a blast! The Dirtbags are a fun team to watch - and there is great entertainment between innings, sack races and such. A skunk ran across the outfield around the sixth inning - can't beat that for the price! read more

Great field and perfect for a family baseball outing without breaking the bank. Very kid-friendly with a place for them to run around and play when they cannot sit any longer. Comfortable sending my kids 9,11 to the snack bar and Kid's area together. You can see them from the bleachers so no stress! Legends provides great BBQ Burgers and Pulled Pork Sandwiches, they serve all the normal snack-bar food as well as beer and wine. Parking gets pretty full if you come close to game time so give yourself time to park and walk. They have fun promotions, we went on Bark in the Park and Fans who brought their dogs were given a discount as well as Super Hero day where anyone in a SuperHero costume got in for $4.
