I wasn't overly impressed with this place, pleasant enough, but nothing special. They serve Italian/french style rustic food and the restaurant has a family, small business feel. Portions are reasonably hearty, and the wine is very good. They have a very odd layout, that is very quaint. It's an open plan kitchen in the middle of the restaurant, that had a fire with large pans on it. Quite unique, which may explain the unique taste of the food. Although the food really wasn't to my taste! I'd suggest going to Hudson's across the road instead, although the greatest thing going for blades is that it's not as busy so you are more likely to get a table here. read more
