The staff was kind and asked if we would like samples. My sisters and I ended up with flavors such as early grey, raspberry, chocolate Nutella and brownies and cream. We tried the chicken salad sandwich on croissant, the bacon cheeseburger on brioche, both with fries and a bottle of Coke. Customer traffic was steady, but the vibe was quiet on this weekday lunchtime. Why not 4 stars? The croissant and brioche bun made a nice change, but a healthier bread option, multi-grain and/or whole wheat, for both would be appreciated. We don't get to Newberry often, but Laila's is now on our list!
