Or however you identify, they have a salon and barbershop it's conveniently located. (Update: But to be honest the salon doesn't seem to get much use, I've never seen anyone in it, whenever I am there ) The reason I went to Sonny's this time as opposed to my regular place was because my regular guy (Joe AKA professor cutz) changed locations and now works here. I would to the end of the earth to get a cut from him. He can cut any texture of hair too. My partner is black, and he won't go to anyone but Joe! People... I'm telling you go to Joe! The nice thing about this place is they accept card, Venmo and cash. Not every place does some places are just cash so ithis is a nice change. Parking is weird though. There is a small driveway next to the shop which leads to A parking lot behind the store.

Harold was friendly, and without my asking he even told me which clippers he used on the sides if I went somewhere else in the future. I didn't check to see if he offered shaves too (I will next time) but he did use a straight razor on my sideburns & neck, which is always appreciated. Unlike many similar traditional barbershops, Harold's IS open on Mondays, so it's a nice option when needing an early-week haircut. A regular men's haircut is $12 and a flattop is $14.

Based on reviews from a number of area shops a safe bet for a new shop (after 10 yrs or so) was the SOHA barber shop. I made an appointment on the phone not knowing that at least three stylists worked there. I got Anna and I didn't know what to expect so I showed up early and she wrapped up a bit earlier than expected so she started early. I told her I just wanted something that looked age & cut appropriate for the upper 60's white male that I am. It should project a business man's style and that wouldn't embarrass my kids. Anna did a great job, since I had been looking for a couple weeks and the appointment was a week later my current hair was wild to say the least. She was patient with me, and made sure I understood a lot was coming off. It came together very well, especially with a 1st time for me stylist.
