Inside is really well decorated and the seating is really comfortable. upstairs there is a small dance floor which is opened during weekend nights. People of ages can be found here in this pub and there usually is a friendly atmosphere. Next door to the pub is a small cocktail bar which is linked through to Crabby Dicks where there are lots of yummy cocktails to try. Most people seemed to be going for the carvery (and we were told if we wanted to sit outside in the sun, the carvery was the only option...) so we all went with that. Why I liked it: - I am not normally a fan of carveries...they make me think of dry meat and uninspiring, overcooked vegetables BUT the thatched inn version was actually really good. - Veggy wise: there was honey glazed parsnips, cauliflower cheese, leeks in some amazing creamy sauce, broccoli, peas, perfect roasties, looovely swede mash...it was all gorgeous. - They have large, puffy Yorkshire puddings - We had a choice of lamb, turkey or pork (with loads of crackling) a or a nut loaf for the vegetarians - All of that was £10 (!)
