Inside is really well decorated and the seating is really comfortable. upstairs there is a small dance floor which is opened during weekend nights. People of ages can be found here in this pub and there usually is a friendly atmosphere. Next door to the pub is a small cocktail bar which is linked through to Crabby Dicks where there are lots of yummy cocktails to try. Why I liked it: - I am not normally a fan of carveries...they make me think of dry meat and uninspiring, overcooked vegetables BUT the thatched inn version was actually really good. - Veggy wise: there was honey glazed parsnips, cauliflower cheese, leeks in some amazing creamy sauce, broccoli, peas, perfect roasties, looovely swede mash...it was all gorgeous. - They have large, puffy Yorkshire puddings - We had a choice of lamb, turkey or pork (with loads of crackling) a or a nut loaf for the vegetarians - All of that was £10 (!)
