However, I went and said I wanted to get four pieces of jewelry put in, the guy showed me my options and I paid $100 for all four. Turns out he could only get two of them in, so I asked if I could have a refund for the other two that they didn't use. He says no refunds because I already opened it. There's no reason why you should be charging me for the jewelry in the first place if it never goes in my ear. Ridiculous. I should've just left right away when he wanted me to pay before doing anything. Do not recommend.

Her line work is so damn thin, it's like the Kiera Knightley of tattoo line work. Seriously, check out my photo of the feather she did, as well as the intricate leave work. She's also fantastic with shading, again, see photo. I'll post more when it's finished. I probably have another 2 sessions to go. The shop itself is small, and if there are more than two people getting work at the same time, it can be a bit crowded. But the shop is clean (actually, they wouldn't let me in a few minutes before opening time because they were still mopping and the floor was wet), and everything is sanitized--I never worry about that here. There's no piercing services, which I actually think is a plus: way fewer people coming in and out of the shop while you're getting tattooed. Definitely makes it a less stressful experience. Of the people that do come in, almost everyone is there for an appointment, although since Dee and Mike are nice folks, there were a few people coming in just to say hi. One guy was there to deliver compliments to the artists for their work. Dee is kind of expensive, but she's 100% worth it. Her work truly is artful and beautiful, and since it's going to be on your body for the rest of your life, you probably should be willing to pay the price. 100% recommended.

She was gentle, made sure I was comfortable and explained what she was doing. Everything was super clean and organized, she even has a TV if you want to watch a show while getting your services done. You can tell Melanie puts a lot of thought into her space to make it comfortable for her clients. I genuinely didn't know my eyebrows were capable of looking like this and Melanie did such a great job- both with technique and making your appointment feel like you're hanging out. That being said, she was very professional and also very detail oriented. She was honest about what we could do with my brows and mapped out many options. She recommended what she thinks would look best yet remained flexible and respectful! To sum it up... Melanie was amazing and I would recommend her to anyone interested in PMU services! You leave with a gift bag and all of the after-care instructions too! She was able to answer all of my questions fully! I definitely am going to be a regular :) Thank you Melanie!!

I had been planning my tattoo for many years and watching the shop grow online. I initially reached…read moreout and was accepted to do a piece with Erick. Unfortunately, I had to cancel and wasn't able to reach back out to the shop until a year later (3 months ago). Communication has always been good with the shop. Shelby and Erick remembered my inquiry and reviewed our communication from the year prior and welcomed me back with open arms. From there, I was able to start my arm sleeve journey AND book an appointment with another artist, Sabrina, for my niece. Each experience was professional and friendly. My niece was treated with care and I am well pleased with my sleeve. We tackled it across 4 sessions. Each time Erick worked with me to refine the piece and make sure everything was flowing. I've gotten to meet great professionals and artists at the shop and I am pleased to say that it feels more like a place where my friends work now - not just the local tattoo shop. Thank you so much for bringing my tattoo to life

DONT DO IT!! I made a mistake by not researching before…read moresending my deposit for a tattoo. Getting a tattoo is a personal experience, and I wanted a 3rd one for my birthday. However, my usual tattoo artist has been backed up due to COVID-19. I thought Plush would be a good choice for my next tattoo as I had quietly followed her work. However, I didn't research her well. When I inquired, I got a response and was asked to deposit within 24 hours, which is not a standard rule. Additionally, I received an invite to an app with a message from her. I tried to contact her through Instagram but got no reply. Despite these red flags, I still sent my deposit. The final straw was when she had a sale seven days later, and I requested to be included, but she said no. I've realized that I can't trust someone with questionable business practices to give me a tattoo. As a business owner, I believe a business should be careful not to alienate potential clients. The $100 nonrefundable deposit she received from me will cost her in negative reviews. She may be talented, but she needs to work on her business acumen.

But then to see she tried to disrespect and demean the potential client on IG was completely uncalled for. If there is a break down in communication via text (which happens a lot), you'd think the business would make the phone call to clear it up instead of trying to be rude to the potential client. I really love supporting black businesses and small businesses but I can't support the ones who don't appreciate their clientele and potential clients.

From the time I set my consultation and had to reschedule because I got sick to the last ink put on my skin, she's been a great communicator. If the space was too cold, she adjusted it. If I was too hot or needed a break, we adjusted and took a break. I felt completely at ease within her space and wasn't worried. We kept the tattoo realistic in terms of ideas so it didn't get it of hand because of my chaotic ideas and it was great because my tattoo came together beautifully. Being able to put together a vision in a collaborative setting feels great when you're looking for an artist to just listen to you and keep it real with you. She paid attention to my skin as she tattooed as well as didn't tattoo if I wasn't healed properly to avoid causing me pain. I have no raised areas where she tattooed me and she was gentle where I was previously scarred from a different artist. I highly recommend setting up time to talk to Imani about your tattoo wants. She will listen and be honest with you if what you want is possible. This is her craft and you matter so she takes her time and everyone deserves that.

FULL REVIEW IN PICS Originally I was really excited to work with Imani. We vibed and at the consultation she seemed to have it together. But over the last 15 months the bad habits, unprofessional behavior, and rude comments have made me leave her shop with unfinished and sloppy work (comparative to the price point of $1,000 per session and her 20+ years of tattooing experience). I wouldn't recommend my friends to this shop. If you really like her work, then get something small that would take 1-3 sessions to do and have VERY detailed reference photos ready during your consultation. She is an expert in dark skin tattooing but it seems complex and big pieces are not her forte. Learn from my mistakes. Don't get gaslit into accepting subpar work, especially at premium prices.
