I strongly advise against using Audrey Blackburn for tax and consulting services. Her dishonest behavior and gross negligence led to IRS penalties for late filing. Despite having all my information for 2.5 months and a deposit, she did nothing and lied about filing extensions for my corporate returns. After finally terminating her services due to her lack of progress and hiring a qualified CPA, I incurred late filing penalties. I verified with the IRS that there were NO extensions for my businesses. I genuinely believe she sidelined me because I am a small business owner and a minority. I share a similar experience to the other reviewer, unfortunately. She had my tax info for months and never even reviewed it despite my follow-up emails. She promised timelines which she consistently missed. She "fired" me because I voiced concern over upcoming deadlines and the lack of movement and follow-through. We hired Blackburn in 2022 to do our bookkeeping and taxes paying them a fee upfront in an amount excess of $2000 to only continue making payments in excess of $500 per month for a period of several months. After about 7 months into the agreement, we began asking for updates and when taxes would be filed only to always receive a reason why there was a delay and this happened on several occasions. Then one day we received a letter stating she would be dropping us as a client and mailed all our documents back to us. No taxes ever got filed and we had to hire an actual CPA firm to fix the mess this firm caused to our books and cost us around $25,000. We were never returned any of our money nor did we receive completed work from this firm during the 7+ months we were in contract with them. read more

After having our tax info for weeks, she finally asked for additional information on our file (only after I sent a follow-up email asking how things were progressing). When I questioned her on why she was asking for FIVE YEARS worth of receipts on home improvements that we did to a over million dollar property she immediately took offense and fired us as clients. In case you're wondering, I asked the question in a non-confrontational manner--just wondering why she would want something that the IRS would only ask for in an audit situation. (And yes, I actually have all the receipts, just not where I could provide them instantly since we just traveled here in our motorhome and don't have access to any of our files which are in storage, which she also knew.) She immediately fired us as clients and left us hanging with 10 days left before the filing deadline. Whatever you do, don't question anything she asks you, just be a sheep and go with it.
