If I could select lower than one star for this legal company I would. Blackburn and Romey are the most unethical I have ever met. It took almost 3 years to settle my case and was told the settlement (because my bran new car was rear ended as well as I was seriously hurt), would be substantial - turned out to be insignificant. They had me sign - and I only heard from Mr. Blackburn once by phone before the case was settled. When I called to inquire - was always sent to a para-legal or office clerk who had to ask the attorney. Also was told I would have Mr. Blackburn, and ended up at mediation being sent to David Singleton, whom I had never met. Also, felt he wasn't trying his best for my benefit. They would not let me meet in person with the at-fault driver/and her insurance company when settling the claim - however - brought in their own personal mediary who would go to a private room where the the at-fault driver and her insurer were - then come back and tell me what they would offer. It makes a person wonder if they pocket part of the claim for their benefit because the settlement they offered was very small. Would have been nice to go to court, however, was not physically able from the severe injuries acquired from this accident. read more

DO NOT hire this company. They lied to me and are still lying to the public about paying you more than what they will get.. All I needed from them was to attend my mediation meeting. I had all my medical reports and my own doctor had written a devastating letter against me which cost me my case. My settlement was for $15,000. My portion was $6,198.14. They showed me that they were paid less than me, but they charged me approx. $1,000 to sign me up which was not disclosed and they charged a lot of other "office fees". There was even a large fee for a person to "put my file together." I think it is very deceitful to go on tv and advertise that they will never get paid more, but they charge office fees that other attorneys do not charge. That is not the worst. After they received the settlement check they got their money, but did not pay me. Around May 15, 2016 they received my payment. As of November of 2016 I still had not been paid. SIX MONTHS LATER AND I STILL HAD NOT BEEN PAID. As a matter of fact I had to contact the State Bar to force them to pay me. Even after the State Bar told them to pay me they still took over a month. I had to write a second letter to the State Bar telling them they still hadn't paid me. The State Bar had to threaten to take away their license if they did not issue the check. It was only then that they finally paid and it still took more time. It was excuse after excuse. It is my opinion that they are spending so much money on advertising that they do not have sufficient funds to pay the clients. All they had to do is attend one meeting. I knew I was going to settle and told them all I wanted them to do was to attend that meeting and help me to get the most money. My payout should have been substantially more. That is not all. Their contract states that they are to resolve all issues with all the insurance companies and Medicare. Medicare was demanding that they be repaid for the medical payments they made that were related to the accident. Medicare was very demanding and threatening to stop all payments of my medical coverage until they were repaid. I contacted Blackburn & Green and they refused to deal with the matter. I had to resolve this with the insurance company to keep them from attaching my bank account and to keep my medical insurance. It was all one claim. The car damage and my medical bills. This took months and hours of my time to end the harassment. Given my medical condition, I cannot afford to lose my insurance. Mr. Green contacted the courts and demanded I settle and he get paid. He sat at the opposite table and lied to the Judge that there were no Medicare claims. Unfortunately, the Judge believed him. All the owner cared about was getting his check. I will not be surprised if this company does not end in a scandal about not paying clients. Don't trust them, they lie. read more

I have dealt with blackburn and greene now 4 times and have never had a bad experience until now. They settled the case without having all the medical bills paid for and are now telling me to pay for them out of pocket. Totally a waste of time getting them to represent me in this traffic accident which was not my fault but are paying several thousand dollars out of my pocket. They will do nothing to fix there errors. They assigned 3 different people to work my case as 2 of the three quit or got fired so my case fell through the cracks. They being RT greene himself dont recollect me telling them certain things so my advice if your using this attorney is document everything in writing or by tape recorder becaus ethey will tell you they dont remember or that certain things talked about didnt even happen. I hope all you out there that have been hurt in a accident please choose the right attorney for your claim. Im walking away from this claim feeling cheated by my own attorneys RT Greene and company.. I have never been so miss treated by a associate of theres named Tracie not sure on her last name and it doesnt matter anyways. She point blank told me to deal with the bills and to read the fine print on the declaration page of what they are paying back. They also make if look like they group the bills together but trust me they arent all payed in full. The bill collectors will come for you it just takes time. When the bills have your name on them you will be responsible for them so dont sign and cash the final check from your attorneys until you know for sure that the bills are being paid as if they dont pay them you will in the end as I have and will be responcible for all that call me from this day on. AVOID THIS FIRM! THEY ARE AS UNETHICAL AS IT GETS!!. Mr. Green will string you along for 2.5 years, telling you your case is strong and how he has no problem taking it all the way if need be. How he's ready to fight them in court. Then, while you're in the middle of settlement talks at the courthouse, with the judge, he will DEMAND you take their crappy settlement offer. He will tell you if you don't he will drop you as a client and give you 30 days to find a new attorney. We all know, it's impossible to find a new attorney 2 and a half years into a lawsuit. Then, as if that's not bad enough, after you have been forced to take a settlement you did not want, he presents you with a statement. It gives you a total for his expenses. This comes out of your settlement. You think you're done, right? Wrong!! His staff member, Rachael Kirtley, will call you and tell you there is now nearly $1000 MORE in expenses A MONTH later. She also informs you they are taking an expense out TWICE. I call that double dipping. So, if you hire this unethical firm, you will be greeted with lies, over confidence, unethical behavior, double charging you for expenses and will be the victim all over again. I am going tomorrow to file a lawsuit in small claims court to retrieve the money they stole from me by double charging and unethical behavior. Then I am considering filing an ethics complaint with the ethics committee. Oh and one last thing, if you ask for a detailed list of your expenses, don't expect to get it. We asked for a detailed list of all expenses. Who, what, when and why. We were told we would receive it in a week or so. It's been a month and a half. Mr Green along with his legal Secretary Mimi were beyond phenomenal! I'm without words to express how grateful I am for their hard work, kindness, perseverance and dedication in helping my mom Judy, through a very difficult and trying time. The accident that totaled my moms car and shortened her second marriage to just under 2 years has been total life altering and devastating.
