Totally awesome almond croissants! We were at the market two days in a row and bought this item…read moretwice since it was so good. The baked goods are not cheap but they are worth it. There is a reason there are lines for their pastry - everything looks delicious! You cannot go wrong here!

After finishing the food tour, I came back for another one, the Pistachio Doughnut. The Crème Brûlée Doughnut was the clear winner. Presentation-wise, it looked just like a real crème brûlée, complete with its beautifully caramelized top. The filling was rich, silky, and creamy without being overly sweet. The dough itself was light, soft, and not greasy or overly bready, making it a fantastic combination. This one is an absolute must-try. The Tiramisu Doughnut had a nice creamy filling, but it didn't quite capture the classic tiramisu flavor. As for the Pistachio Doughnut, the filling was smooth and creamy, but I could barely taste any pistachio, which was a little disappointing. Service was quick, efficient, and well organized despite the line. The setup is simple: queue up, place your order, pay, and enjoy. Overall, the Crème Brûlée Doughnut is the standout and definitely worth ordering. It's the one I'd come back for again. :)

This is the 2nd time I've tried Laduree; the 1st time I tried it was when I was in Hong Kong, but it wasn't that great then. Here it was fresh and at the perfect temperature, since I had it in the morning. I had the rose, salted caramel and the vanilla flavor and they were all so delicious. Great, well balanced taste and perfect soft, melting in your mouth, fluffy texture. Each bite was so amazing, not too sweet either! I love how consistent their macarons are. Each macaron was 1.8£ which isn't too bad when comparing to other macaron places I've been to around North America. The service wasn't too friendly to me though because they knew I was a tourist, so that was kind of unfortunate and didn't make the experience that great. They had this "too busy" kind of attitude even though there was nobody there. I do have to say that the decor and interior design is on point, it has this classic, british cafe look but with the signature aqua color of the Laduree brand. It was nice as they had a small sit-down area, so I was able to enjoy my 3 macarons while catching a break from walking around!

The store is a almost an assault on the senses with brilliant colours, delectable smells, and countless combinations just hinting at the virtually unlimited pleasures to be tasted. Over the last year, Laduree has made it's mark on London, opening a number of stores across town. Fortunately (or perhaps not), this particular store has opened up right below my office and provided a steady, albeit expensive, supply of fine Parisian delights. As to be expected, the displays are as pleasing to the eye as the tastes are to the palate. Pyramids of macaroons, elegantly arranged boxes of chocolates, and rows of intricately designed truffles adorn the shop. The staff are very helpful and friendly, quick to offer advice when you stare dumbfounded at the number of options presented to you. My usual favourite is the simple box of 8 for just under 13 squids. I can never choose but if you ask them for a random selection they will pick them for you, seemingly at random but I assume based on the more popular trends. I've always been quite happy with the range provided which usually includes some salted caramel, chocolate, a few flower-based flavours, and a citrus or two. Something to make everyone happy! As a note, I've heard that Laduree makes all their macaroons in Paris and ships them freeze-dried around the world. Now to London, I assume they stick them on the first Eurostar or fly them over and the taste is still fresh but this could be a problem for their further afield stores. I haven't tried it out in person, but something to keep in mind.

Can't say I am all that impressed though. Red Velvet Cupcake - The frosting is so sweet and the Cake a little on the dry side. I like my Cakes to be moist. They're pricey too at £2.65 a pop. I thought paying the equivalent of £1.90 - £2.20 a Cupcake was a lot in California but I can't say I didn't expect it here in Britain as everything is more expensive. I do like the location of the Bakery, right near where my Hubby used to work and less than a mile from our beloved Thai Van (best Yellow Chicken Curry in The City btw!). Aside from the regular sized Cupcakes they also sell mini Cupcakes (£1.35) Brownies (£2.50-$3.75) and Whoopie Pies (£3.25) as well as whole Cakes from Sponge (£22 upwards) to Cheesecake (£26) and Pies (Pumpkin, Pecan, Mississippi Mud (£32-£36) ect. *There are also 3 other locations around London with the newest being in Islington in the Angel Building as well as a Food Truck (look at me becoming all ''American'').. or Van I guess I should be calling it that serves local Festivals.

I am so disappointed that I have only just learned about this wonderful cafe!! I travel to London…read moreperiodically for work. On my last visit, a coworker told me about this little gem, which is not far from Lloyd's. It was a freezing cold day, I didn't have a coat, but I still went on the journey to Konditor & Cook. They have such a huge variety of cakes, brownies, and other sweet treats, along with coffees and other beverages. I got the lemon cake, which came highly recommended - it was amazing! I also had a hot chocolate (I don't drink coffee often), but my coworker had a latte and it looked good. I know they are typically known for their cakes but the lunches here give you quick access to homemade classic dishes. I usually get the enchilladas, chili con carne, fish pie (super good!) or one of the daily quiches. The menu changes daily and there is rarely a time I don't find something to drool over. If you go I highly recommend the Boston Brownie, Raspberry Chequerboard Cake and the Millionaire Shortbread from the bakery. My only issue: Take the mushrooms out of the Mac n Cheese! Seriously, who puts mushrooms in mac n cheese???
