It's been a minute since I was able to throw Black Sheep Cream Co. a review. We frequent Ko'olina quite a bit, whether to bring my daughters to the beach or to stop by Monkeypod for dinner. This time around, we found ourselves bringing a family member to dinner and were craving ice cream after dinner. Fortunately, Black Sheep Cream Co. was there. Right off the bat, I want to express my gratitude to the owner for keeping the prices the same since my last review in 2022. The flavors, taste, and venue is comfortable to enjoy your dessert right in front of the business. There is plenty of chairs and umbrella shade. This is locally-owned and worth the try, especially if you're visiting. There recommended flavor is their Black Sesame flavor. I also really appreciate their Matcha flavor. read more

We stopped here on a ride on the Hawaiian railroad. The line was incredibly long because of all the passengers, but we really enjoyed the ice cream. Each flavor was fun and interesting. From cookie butter to coconut there were so many flavors to choose from that were not just your standard boring old flavors. The shop was clean and the people were friendly. Epic fail. Smell of sewer underground drain is strong while standing in line outside. Ice cream melting quickly. I ordered one scoop Matcha Made In Heaven and one scoop Mochi Mama Brown Sugar Milk Tea Cream. Unable to see employee scoop the ice cream because it's away from customers' view. Barely tasted and couldn't see brown sugar. Definitely tasted pieces of white mochi and milk tea. Unfortunately, given two scoops of same flavor. By the time I discovered it, it's melting at the bottom because my Matcha Made In Heaven was supposed to be in the cup. My husband consumed his two scoops Guilty of Strobbery like there's no tomorrow. On top of that, if 15 min parking stalls are full, then must pay for parking in other half or across the street. Love this spot right across Aulani and four seasons. Always a great stop over when having a stay at either the fams. The times change so we went at the 3pm arrival. Love the waffle cone. Great flavors, Busta coconut was delicious, creep it real had a nice Oreo flavor, looked cool as well being so dark in color. We also got the matcha one which was great in flavor. The younger braddah was helpful and shared that today they were out of waffle cones, only a waffle bowl that ended up being very floppy. Creamy, rich and real. My husband loved it. I thought it was a little too sweet, but good. Got 2 pints to bring home for my girls. I think we hit it at the right time as it wasn't too busy. Normally there is a line out the door. But on the other hand they were out Of flavors. No place to sit inside all outdoor seating that you share with other store and shops close by, and it gets busy. 3.5 Stars This is an unassuming ice cream shop in the Ko'Olina area in a strip mall close by to the Aulani and Four Seasons. I love ice cream, so we gave this creamery a go. Staff was very friendly. The first thing I noticed was how low key and industrial-like the decor was-very minimalistic. Which is okay, except the ice cream selection was also minimal. There were only a handful of flavors and their names and descriptions were a bit confusing. We got samples and the girls helped us with descriptions. My flavor was a caramely vanilla (I forget the name), and was good, but the scoop was small. Hubby got their version Cookies and Cream. It should be called black lava rock because it is black! Darker and messier than any cookies and cream I've seen. It had the flavor of the well-loved Oreo, but it was a little intense for me when I tried it. And please don't get this one when wearing white. Overall, it was a decent experience, but nowhere near my favorite ice cream shop. read more

We stopped by here after eating at Monkeypod kitchen. I got the honeycomb and the honey flavor is subtle it doesn't hit you in the face with honey flavor which I like, and the employees were nice. The ambiance was ok. I think I'm giving it 3 stars because it wasn't bad, but I did feel a little underwhelmed. I think I was just expecting a little more, to be fair they had run out of a few things by the time we got there. So maybe showing up earlier in the day would've made things better. read more

We came here with our crew of 15. It's a small place inside so we took up the whole joint. Service was on island time (we were in there for awhile). About 4 seats inside but there are tables/chairs outside for you to hang out. What we swallowed: *CREEP IT REAL: Cookies and cream. The color can be off putting but it was really good and creamy. No chunky cookie bits if that's what you're expecting. *COCONUT WITH CHOCOLATE COVERED ALMONDS AND SALTED CARAMEL: This was so tasty and delicious. The icecream had some unique flavors. We tried Joe Gets Nuts and Busta Coconut. I would get it again. The Creep it Reel and guilty of Strowberry was good too. The reviews said service wasn't really good, but we had excellent service. We couldn't decide what we wanted and she asked if we wanted to try it. She was patient as we ordered for five people and we didn't feel rushed. Ambiance was nice. There isn't much room to eat inside but there are tables with chairs outside. Didn't snap picture of our ice cream but we enjoyed the unique flavors they offered at a modest price. I had the matcha and honey dew that were not overly sweet and had a nice creamy texture. They were busy the day we went given the fact it is located across from the Disney Resort and nearby restaurants and beaches. Great ice cream for great prices! Very unique flavors but there is typically something for everyone. Creamy and delicious, they do let you sample flavors as well which is always awesome! Tables could always use a quick wipe down, especially the ones outdoor but I won't blame them for staying busy enough indoors that it's difficult to get outside and make sure things are clean when there is typically only one employee working. Ko'olina attracts all kinds of people - tourists, locals flocking to the beaches/lagoons and residents who live here, but most likely they are not the ones who frequent a place like Black Sheep Cream very often, well maybe the rich ones. One scoop was $5.25 without tax. It wasn't memorable like the other Black Sheep Cream location in Waipio (reviewed 2017) but maybe because times/ingredients have changed. The ever-so-present sign that says something to the effect that "It's a fact, women tip better than men" is here too...geeze. Pay your workers fair wages instead of begging for tips already! I felt guilty so I left a dollar tip, making two scoops of ice cream $12.00...ridiculous. I know the rent is nuts here but still, this place will only be for tourists with money. My honeydew ice cream was just OK, not as creamy as I thought it would be, kind of a "slimy" mouthfeel - can't describe it very well. Not worth the price. The guava butter cake ice cream was amazing, the flavor selection was unique, and the ability to select a flight of 3 ice creams I've never seen anywhere else was a lot of fun. Unfortunately the woman at the counter was busy playing a game on her phone and made us feel like a complete bother for walking in, she wouldn't even look up at us to answer questions. Our waffle bowl was made incorrectly and went completely floppy almost immediately. They were out of floats and also out of marshmallows which somehow meant the rocky road had no marshmallows in it? I'm honestly still confused why you would make rocky road ice cream if you didn't have the ingredients promised on the menu. Not enough variety in flavors for the Milkshakes. They also need to be taught how to actually make a Milkshake it's was purely milk nothing more. My four year old doesn't know the difference so it was good to go but for a chef like myself it was extremely disappointing. The caramel with brittle was however very tasty . Black Sheep Cream located in beautiful Ko Olina Center and Ko Olina Station. The scenery is so breathtaking and peaceful. In the beginning of the mall on the corner you will find them. Seating available inside and tables and chairs with umbrellas outside. The menu is easy to read and although the menu is limited the limited choices are unbelievably witty and oh so delicious. The shop is incredibly chic and very clean. There is lots of parking, but make sure you read the parking signs. You will need a cell phone to pay for your parking or you could catch a ride on the Ewa train .
