I decided to to get a while new vape setup because the one I had kept leaking when I drove over the pass, for work, and I waa just tires of it. I walked in and told Gary what my situation was and straight away he reccomended the Aspire PockeX, and I freaking LOVE IT!!! It does NOT LEAK, it's much slimmer and doesn't irritate my tendonitis in my thumb, is super cute and and I can actually taste my Cape juices! The new setup, a box of replacement coils, and a 100ml bottle of vape juice waa only about $65 total. He helped me set it up, too! I can't say enough about Black Rock Vapor, Gary and Amy. I ALWAYS feel so welcomed when I go in and they help me with whatever I need. I love the tasting bar, too! And it's nice to earn vape juice when you sign up for their reward program. I also will get periodic texts when they have sales and discounts going on, but not too many texts. I've been stopping in here periodically since this shop opened and every single time it's been a great experience. I'm glad I put off writing this review because this shop gets better, in several ways, everytime I stop in and here's why: Both the owners are always there, always super friendly, (I'll bet they wish they had a day off once in awhile, I admire their dedication to their business) ethical and they take the time & effort to get to know their customers. I wouldn't ever hesitate to send someone who's new to vaping here because I have no doubt Gary and Kimmie would be patient and honest while explaining the (millions of) nuances and options that go along with vaping. The selection here grows every time I stop by, their products now range from beginner setups (EGo pen style & tanks, basic & sub ohm) to rtas (Lemo/Kayfun types) to rdas (mech mods/drippers) and they're always bringing in new stuff. Today for example, I stopped in for coils and they had the twisted kanthal I was going to order online, they had it at a comparable price too! Speaking of price, their Aspire or Kanger type, basic coils, are buy 4 and the 5th one is free; it's the best price I've found around town for those type coils and they've never been out of stock. Their juice selection has also expanded since they opened, and here's where it's nice to see the store owners in shop, getting to know their customers...you say you use higher vg juice & like bakery flavors and voila! they appear! I'm positive I'm not the only one who's asked and I'm sure just requesting some obsolete something won't make it appear, but these owners actively engage their customers to get to know you & your vaping style...you don't find that very often in vape shops. On their juice, I have to add, that in a conversation today I learned that even though Gary (one of the owners) and I both like a local makers juice they won't carry it in the store if it's not independently tested and made in a professional lab, even though we agree it's darn tasty goodness. This place is great! Can't say enough about how awesome this place is from the liquid selection to the hardware selection and the knowledge of the staff! It's also a huge plus to be able to taste all of the flavors before buying them. All of the liquid sold here is of high quality as well. They also seem to have flavors that no one else in town carries, which is yet another plus. The location is very convenient for me since I live in the Sparks area, but I do recommend that people who live in reno make the trip over here to check it out. You won't be disappointed! I am not a vaper. I use my new ELF vape pen to deliver my medication only. I'd bought a vape pen last year, but it was cheap ($20) and didn't work well. Black Rock Vapor got best in class reviews here in Reno, NV, so when I wanted to upgrade to a vaporizer that works, I tried them out. Surprisingly, the man behind the counter recommended a new product that was not too expensive ($35) and well-reviewed. I charged the vape pen and it works GREAT. I find that it works better, more quickly, if I keep the pen warm in my pocket. I really appreciate that, with my vaping inexperience, I was sold a Vape pen that WORKS and it was relatively inexpensive. Take your business to Black Rock Vapor! read more

This vape shop is the best of the best! I had been using a different shop in town for over 3 years and was getting tired of the bad coils, changing formulas and inability to get anything other than a 0 or 24mg option. Looked on Yelp and found this little gem and decided to stop. Best decision I ever made! First, the owners Gary & Kim are amazing at what they do and remember your name. They are knowledgeable, attentive and never rushed. Want to sit there for an hour going through their extensive vape flavors, have at it. Have a type or flavor you prefer, they will pull every flavor with that profile and let you decide. The selection is always growing and they provide quality hardware. I finally upgraded form a Kanger pen style to an Eleaf like they use in the shop and in a matter of 2 months dropped from a 24mg to a 6mg. What I appreciate most is their refreshing business morals. No crappy untested stuff here and the other day I though for sure I had broke my tank (I'm a daily dropper) and went in thinking I needed to get a whole new one. Gary looked at it and told me I had just broke the coil, easy fix and had it repaired in minutes, who does that anymore? If you ever need a good reminder why independent business are better than corporate chains Black Rock Vapors will definitely remind you why. I can't think of the last time the store owners of any business not only remembered who i was and what i bought but also remember my first name. Gary and Kimi go out of their way to make sure your happy with your purchase and are well informed of what you're buying. Being a first time vape user i was given a pretty good education on what apparatuses did what. I like that im able to try ANY flavor before buying at the tasting bar. There is monthly discounts on select flavors and all E juices are tested. No home brewed E juice. Im glad i waited to write a review, because every time i went in my experience is always better than the previous. My reply, to owners 2nd post. All I can say is, please check out the video mr gary. I noticed you using your ability to go back and view a video of another unhappy customer giving you a bad review. Why not go back and view a video of how you treated me when I came back to your store after buying a defective mod. Why not view the video of your wife selling me an open boxed mod from the display while you stood by allowing it. Did you not just claim that you never sell open mods? Didn't you claim to throw away open mods?? How the heck do I have one then? The Video!! You will see me telling you about how difficult it was to operate the doors on the mod. And your less than kind response, "it's easy for me!" You will also notice me explaining to you that I did in fact own a 2/3 wismec before. The doors operated quite easily. What was wrong with your mod? I also informed you that the mod you sold me would flash low battery, even though I just loaded it with fully charged batteries. Your solution? To take my somewhat new, (sold unboxed, from the display) mod that I payed $70.00 for home to vape on overnight?? Can you see why that would gross out a person?? Yuck!! And how does that make the defective doors work?? It saddens me to know that your business is doing so well, that you desperately cling to my $70.00 regardless of whether or not I have actually received a good product that I can use in return for that payment. For I wouldn't be asking to exchange a good mod. It's saddens me even more to know that people like you exist. read more
