I had the perch, which would've been OK except the plate was swimming in a runny mayonnaise based sauce. The fries fish and slaw were soaked with it. I asked for a small plate so I could quickly move the food off of the sauce. When I asked for tartar sauce, they stated that was the tartar sauce. I suggest if you order the perch, ask for the sauce on the side. The naan dip had very little taste or seasoning. It had a horseradish sauce that was bland. When my partner asked for more horseradish, they didn't have any. It is a nice location with a beautiful view of the golf course.

It wasn't too crowded and the cozy feel we experienced last weekend was still there. The music this week from the bar next door was much less intrusive as it was week. To start we ordered cocktails, he had a tequila old fashioned and I had the pear and spice mocktail - add vodka. Ha. Desiree was so kind and accommodating especially since it required her to go find a couple ingredients from the other bar next door. It loved it and appreciated that she didn't just say she couldn't make it. The bread that is brought out prior to our salads was outstanding! Warm sourdough with roasted garlic butter and olive oil with crushed red pepper. I know it's "only bread" but it was so good. For salads, he had the bruschetta Caesar which was so interesting and tasty! He especially liked that the accompanying toppings - croutons, tomatoes and shaved parm were in separate groupings on the plate, allowing him to leave off or not have to pick out the croutons. The romaine had a "char" and it added a little smokiness that paired well with the sharp tang of the dressing. I had the wedge, it's a classic at a steakhouse and it did not disappoint. I requested no red onion and there was not one to be found . The dressing was really good and not the super thick goop it is at other establishments. There was a good amount of quality bleu cheese and the iceberg was cold and crisp. For entrees I knew I wanted something that would reheat well. I rarely finish my entrees and anticipated bringing half of it home. I went with the Chicken Parmesan. It was incredible! NOTHING like any chicken parm I've ever had. It had a lemon basil beurre blanc sauce that was to die for. I highly recommend this take on a classic. He had the ribeye steak and he was very pleased. Cooked to perfection. My cedar plank salmon also was not served on the plank as it usually is, but simply plated on a dish, which took away from what has normally been a signature presentation. We also requested the main dining room in our reservation and were told it wasn't possible. Apparently the chef is gone, and unfortunately it shows. This was not the Clearbrook experience we have come to expect. I hope they get things back to the quality, consistency, and care they used to have.
