Sites are all pull through with a level concrete pad that will accept 40"+ RVs. The site is close to a park, a dog park, and a lake which allows swimming, fishing, and kayaking/canoeing. The only con is that they do not have a lot of natural shade or mature trees around the sites which makes it very hot.

A majority of the…read moresites are seasonal but they do have plenty of transient sites for any size RV and also have a few tent sites. They are located right on the lake and you can swim off of the dock. There is no lifeguard however. My family and I visit there a few times each season. I highly recommend this place. Close to Kingston, ON, Watertown, and Sackets Harbor. If you have a pet be sure to bring their rabies certificates. The campground does require them. They have a small store that sells wood and ice as well as other things. You can also rent kayaks there. They have a propane filling station in case you need it also.

We found the paved trail around the entire grounds lovely for a walk, and noted it would make travel for those in wheelchairs easy access to the entire camp ground. Pet friendly, but could use more waste receptacles for droppings. Staff is outgoing and helpful, cites are no closer than anywhere else and some cites offer hook ups on both sides so they can accomodate various rigs. Our site had a nice composite picnic table, fire pit and a packed gravel bed even site. As others have posted, yes it can be buggy but it's to be expected while camping waterside-and these are not biting bugs just slightly annoying. An employee suggested using a qtip to put essential oils around the screens of our rv-which absolutely deterred the bugs. Would recommend without hesitation.

Dog run is overgrown, a bit flooded and very buggy so we didn't bring the dogs down there it's also very small. Maybe 20 x30. Park staff is very nice and camp store is well equipped. We reserved a lake front pull through site on Sunset side.. site is great; they are very close together but we are on lake and it's beautiful. We have to walk around to actually see the sunset though because we are on the south side of peninsula and the other campers block the view.. We will definitely come back... for the location.

They have a nice sized playground right in front of the water/beach spot. Also, it was situated between two bathroom building! They have standing showers in stalls and also large bathrooms with a standing shower as well- which is very nice for people who need to go in with children or disabled people. They had bundles of wood on-site ($5) and ice ($2). Also, there is a little mart across the street from the state park that has little trinkets, supplies and ICE CREAM if maybe you forgot something for fire or food. ***IMPORTANT!! You are so close to Canada here PLEASE pay attention to your photo data if you're using it. We were able to pick up the Canadian lines and it sent the phone roaming for a little bit.*** It was very well kept! Each "camp" has a large enough tent site for 2 large tents, or more we had two, and then a fire pit with a mini grill over it and a picnic table. All it was missing was trash reciprocals but really what's on you and it was great. You can play volleyball usually but do to covid it's closed and so are boat rentals (typically $300). You can fish also and they have a bait shop. Highly highly recommend coming here! I don't know if it's typical but $22/night for the site is awesome.

We had a group of 8 and were the only ones on the river at that time of that particular day. Dylan was our guide and he was fantastic! He made sure we were safe, but that we had the times of our lives. It was a sunny, warm summer day. But not too warm that the water felt warm. We did some swimming next to the boat, some jumping off, some cliff jumping a little over halfway into the trip(which lasted about 5 hours total), stopped for a snack of juice and cookies then had an amazing dinner at the end! They even had a meal ready for my vegetarian kid! They even have a photographer taking your picture from the sides as you're going down and the price for the pictures at the end was super reasonable! I can't say enough how great it was. I recommend them to everyone who asks where they should go.

Which is the reason for the 3 stars. First, the seasonal rate increase. While we appreciate the gradual increase for us existing campers, the amount it's going up to is a bit extreme in my opinion compared to what we were at with the previous owners. Also, the jumping pillow hasn't been replaced and that was a huge hit with the kids. With the increase rate, I feel the jumping pillow should be replaced. The store was open sporadic hours and electric readings were not done on consistent dates each month. Again overall we love the campground and just stick to our group to relax and have a good time.

He called up to the main office to see if we could move our site along with the other three families that were camping with us. They were able to accommodate moving all four sites to a better location. The views are incredible here, including the sunsets. I am not an early riser so I did not see any of the sunrises. Lots of stuff for the kids to do. I would recommend bringing bikes for kids because the place is very big. The sites are a little small but I have been in tighter campgrounds before. This is a place I would definitely come back to again.
