After checking the reviews for McHenry County Door I called and talked to Chuck about buying a spring from him. He told me what he had available, what I could use from the local home center and why he uses what he does instead of what the big box store sells. I also asked his price to change the spring and based on the chasing of parts I would have needed to do and the time it would have taken to get it right, Chuck's price was well worth it. He said he could do it at 1:30 that afternoon and that's when he showed up. He fixed the broken spring and checked over the other two doors to make sure they were working properly. The service was great, the conversation was lively and the job done quickly. I highly recommend Chuck and McHenry County Door.

When the garage door broke last night (the cable broke) I was imagining a massive job with parts everywhere and long hours - Chuck came here and while we had a friendly conversation about the area, he was busy working away, and the problem was fixed in under a hour. We are definitely keeping McHenry County Door on our permanent "to-be-called" list should we experience any future needs or problems. We highly recommend McHenry County Door to other prospective customers.

My first call to Priceless was after the spring broke on our aging Garage Door one evening (making…read moreit nearly impossible to open the door). I compared to 2 other companies and chose Priceless because they were similar price and available to come out the next day. Phil replaced the spring & ensured that both of my garage doors were in good shape. My second call to Priceless was to replace my antique opener which decided to retire unexpectedly late one Friday. I thought I'd be scheduling for the following week, but Phil surprised me by offering to come out on Sunday morning - saving me taking off work. He breezed through installing the new opener and took the time to walk me through how to use it. His responsiveness, professional approach and fair pricing make Priceless the only option I'll consider for this work. I now have now entered the 21st century with a garage door opener more advanced than I can imagine.

I called last week to get an estimate on some new weather seal that had been damaged by us. The color and size we have is not something you can buy at a big box store or Amazon. I was just purchasing the seal, I didn't need a service call. I would even pick it up. The man that answered the phone was extremely distracted. I was put on hold several times. I had to explain what I needed each time he returned. He never asked my name. He never looked up my account. He never asked for the color. If I were to guess, he made up a price on the spot. And then put me on hold again. When he came back he asked me if I needed a service call. I had to explain ONCE AGAIN what I was calling for. He just seemed so bothered to talk with me. The price he gave me was absolutely outrageous. The fact that I had spent a lot of money on doors, opener and service didn't mean a thing. What should have been a very simple, quick transaction ended up leaving a very bad taste in my mouth. I am very active on many local social media sites and have recommended this company so, so many times since 2017. Not anymore. I was able to find exactly what I needed, double the quantity for less than half the price he threw at me. And it was delivered. How I was treated was EXACTLY what you do to not have repeat customers. Sad.
