(Especially in this economy) While ordering online, be aware that the time it says on the ordering portal/site is not generally accurate. I, on multiple occasions, have ordered something with a specific pick up time selected (I left plenty of time, thirty minutes from when I ordered to when I wanted to pick it up) and the food still was not ready. Ex: ordered at 11:30 am, pick up time of 11:55-12:00, food was ready closer to 12:10 and I received the 'your food is ready text' at 12:45 pm. While this isn't a bad thing if you have time, if you're on a tight lunch schedule I'd look otherwise. This location is also a bit smaller than their Parkville location, so if it's crowded it's very noticeable and can get a little overwhelming. I do prefer the Platte City location to Parkville though, as their Parkville location doesn't do that good of a job when I order online (this may just be me but I have to take it into consideration). Overall, I do recommend it, just be aware that it is pricey, when packed it can get a little overwhelming, and be aware of how long you have to eat.

They serve a variety of deli meats and cheeses, available to go as well as on sandwiches. The wall of chips is impressive too! I ordered a toasted plain bagel, perfectly golden, along with a white chocolate macadamia nut hot drink. The bagel was incredibly fresh, with a warm, slightly chewy texture reminiscent of homemade bread. My drink was made with half the usual sweetness, using creamy oat milk, and had a rich, balanced flavor that was very satisfying. Next time I'll plan to get a cinnamon roll - those are huge and look delicious!! I plan to add this place to my coffee-and-breakfast routine.

I had a shortstack, sausage & eggs. The birthday boy had the protein plate, with a biscuit. He says he knows that ruined it being a protein plate but it's what he wanted. The service was good and the TREX store fun. We also visited the antique mall across the street, which was pretty cool. The pancakes were to die for. I only eat them a couple times a year so this place will stay on the list for good ones. It wasn't too loud so you could have a conversation and the booths were comfy. Clean, well run establishment with a nice place to use the necessary. Those of us ladies of a certain age can appreciate those things. Overall, it was a good experience and I'll definitely return.

The pancakes are huge My one wish that I will never understand why it's not a common entree on a breakfast menu - I just want a dish that has pancakes, meat (bacon/sausage) and eggs. I don't want to have to order one of those items ala carte, but so be it - it was still good. However the egg whites were definitely not for the extra that I paid - it barely seemed like one egg's whites let alone the two I paid for. Not gonna lie though, I will probably be back

We wrapped up our weekend in Weston with a stop at Weston Café, and it did not disappoint! Our…read moreparty of eight was seated immediately (a rare and glorious feat), and waters arrived in record time. Most of the table fueled up with coffee, while I had to make do with a Diet Pepsi--an acceptable substitute, though my Coke Zero-loving heart shed a quiet tear. The café itself is charmingly quirky, with local artwork adorning the walls--some for sale, some just adding to the cozy atmosphere. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel at home, like a neighborhood gem that's been serving up comfort for years. I ordered the Veggie Lover Breakfast (half portion, $8.99) and a side of raisin toast--because let's be real, if raisin toast is on the menu, it's happening. My husband went all in with the Weston Café Skillet ($12.99), a hearty and reasonably priced meal. Despite the size of our group, the food arrived quickly, hot, and all at once--a small breakfast miracle. If you're in Weston and looking for a friendly spot with great food and small-town charm, Weston Café is the place to be. Just be prepared to settle for Diet Pepsi if you're a Coke Zero fan.

Service was fun and quick. We tried the half skillet (no one needs a whole one ), chicken fried steak, Weston Benedict, and the meat and cheese omelet. All the eggs were cooked perfectly, and everything was just delicious. This will no doubt be in our rotation for our Weston weekends, happy to have finally tried it.
