To keep it under wraps, we pretended I had booked a normal photo excursion. He played along flawlessly, blending in until the perfect moment. And here's the kicker -- he wore a GoPro and secretly filmed the entire thing. I had no idea until he sent me the video along with the most beautiful, emotional photos we could have hoped for. When we came back in 2025 with our family, there was zero hesitation about who we'd hire. Eddy is not only incredibly talented, but also friendly, patient, and great with kids. He makes everyone feel comfortable, knows how to find the best light, and captures genuine moments instead of stiff poses. He even picked us up, baby and all to drive us to the shoot location. Both sessions gave us photos that belong on our walls forever -- vibrant, natural, and full of life. If you want a photographer who goes above and beyond, who makes magic happen without you even realizing it, book him now. He's the only one we'll ever call in Oahu.

The Only Photographer You Should Trust in Hawaii, Eddy Nova is Unmatched!…read more Stop scrolling and book Eddy Nova. I say this as someone who does her research, values quality, and understands the difference between someone who takes pictures and someone who creates memories. Eddy is the real deal. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary with a beach and park photo session in Honolulu. We envisioned dreamy ocean views, a glowing Hawaiian sunset, and the kind of photos that would hang in our home forever. But when the day arrived, so did the rain, and not just a little drizzle. It was a full-on downpour. Most photographers would have rescheduled and called it a day. But Eddy? He did that and so much more. Not only was he incredibly flexible and understanding, he also personally drove us over 20 minutes to our dinner reservation, just so we wouldn't have to deal with calling a ride in the middle of a storm. That kind of thoughtfulness doesn't come standard. It comes from someone who genuinely cares about his clients. When we finally had our rescheduled session, it felt like the universe had been waiting to give us something perfect, and Eddy captured every ounce of it. The sunset was breathtaking, the colors of the sky and sea were vibrant and glowing, and somehow, he managed to reflect the absolute joy and love between us in every single shot. The photos are mind blowing. Not staged. Not stiff. Just pure connection, emotion, and beauty. He caught those little moments that most people miss, a glance, a laugh, a spark, and turned them into art. His turnaround time was unbelievably fast. We received a teaser photo that same evening so we could share something with our family back home, and the full gallery was ready in less than two weeks. Every image looked like it belonged in a travel magazine or a fine art gallery, but still felt like us, genuine and glowing. And beyond the technical brilliance, it's Eddy's personality that sets him apart. He is one of the most genuine, magnetic, and grounded people I've ever met. From the moment we met him, he made us feel like old friends. There was no pressure, no awkwardness, just laughter, good conversation, and a deep sense of ease that only comes when you're in the presence of someone truly exceptional. This was not just a photo session. It was an unforgettable experience with someone who made us feel seen, celebrated, and genuinely appreciated. That's rare. If you are planning any kind of special moment in Oahu and you want it captured with heart, talent, and care, look no further. Eddy Nova is the only name you need to know. I instantly knew I wanted to hire them based on their romantic/cinematic type of photos. I'm very particular and picky about editing style and after seeing Hand and Heart's instagram page, I was sold! From the get go, Trevor and Yuyu were amazing to work with. They made my family, friends, and most importantly my husband and I, feel so comfortable. It felt like we were shooting with a good friend. When we got our gallery, my jaw was on the floor. I love how they captured EVERY single detail - from getting ready in the morning, my wedding decor, photos with loved ones, sweet moments between my husband and I, all the way to my outfit change at the end of the night. Absolutely nothing was left out and the results are gorgeous!! You can really feel the emotions through them and it transports me right back to my wedding day. These photos will be cherished for years and generations to come and we can't thank Trevor and Yuyu enough for their hard work, kindness, and attention to detail.

I first discovered Trevor and Yuyu through my wedding planner, and I immediately loved their style after browsing their Instagram portfolio. When I later found out that one of my close friends had also used them, that gave me even more confidence. After a short video meeting with Trevor, we knew right away they were the perfect fit--professional, warm, and someone who would help our day feel effortless. On the wedding day, Trevor and Yuyu were incredible. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, guided us with posing, and knew all the best photo spots around the venue. The results were everything we dreamed of and more. Every part of our day was beautifully captured--getting ready, the pre-wedding shoot, our wedding party, ceremony, reception, and even the dancing. They didn't just capture us as a couple, but also the joy and emotions of our family and guests. On top of that, they photographed the little details I had put my heart into: the welcome table, reception setup, cake and topper, decorations, and of course, the breathtaking venue itself. Looking through these photos now lets us relive our magical day over and over again. We couldn't recommend Hand and Heart Photography more highly to any couple looking for not just stunning photos, but a team who will capture the people, moments, and atmosphere that make a wedding truly unforgettable. We're also so excited that our package includes a one-hour photo session, which many couples use as an engagement or pre-wedding shoot. We decided to save it for after the wedding, and I can't wait to create even more memories with Trevor and Yuyu.

My husband and I got recommendation from a friend to use JJO Photographers for our wedding in…read moreHawaii last year. We are soooooo happy they were available for our destination wedding weekend and were our photographers. Weddings are expensive to plan and hiring JJO team was the best investment we made for this event. Firstly, working with JJ & Allison were just really easy and a lot of fun. The process of getting to know JJ & Allison (husband and wife team) was Hawaii chill and stress free. My husband likes to nerd out about cameras and photography and he knew right away that the team was seasoned photographers. The pricing was based on the # of hours they dedicate to your event -- and can be split across multiple days. We did a 9-hour session, 8 hours on the wedding day and 1 hour a few days later so we can take photos in nature and ended up with our favorite photos of all time -- many of them. We met the photographer for the first time a few days before the wedding and that was enough for us to communicate our vision for the photos, check out the venue (Cafe Julia), and go over the timeline for the day. Secondly, JJ & Allison are flexible, sensitive, and has a keen eye to details. Allison used to be in wedding coordination -- so she makes sure your hair and makeup and outfit looks great for every photo. JJ followed the men and Allison followed the ladies -- and it just felt like they were a part of the wedding party. They take pictures even when their eyes are not looking through the camera's viewfinder so they really just blend in with the party. And yet they somehow capture so many details from us getting ready, the decor, the venue, the Chinese Banquet, the downpour rain during our ceremony, the cocktail hours, the dancing.... from everything. Third, the photos were amazing! Just wow wow wow. We had over 1000+ photos and I love every single one. We debated a lot on whether it makes sense to spend more money on photographers or videographers -- and now I know, photographers. You watch your video once or twice, but JJO team's photos are on display at our home and your our bed. It's their photos people received for their thank you cards. It's their photo I see when on my phone. It's their photo that reflect on print the love I share with my husband, family and friends. I just wish we had asked them to make a physical wedding album for us. It's really hard to choose 80-100 photos to make a physical album when you love all the photos. JJ & Allison are a small duo team but a mighty and talented team. Hope you get a chance to book them. We read through hundreds of reviews on The Knot, Wedding Wire, and Yelp. Since we live in the San Francisco bay area and the wedding was in Waikiki, it was especially difficult trying to sample food via FaceTime.... So much excitement planning the big day.... and it was over in an instant. And I don't recall if I cried when Kortni walked down the aisle. I don't remember what music was playing as we entered the reception. I don't know what the Lilikoi cheesecake tasted like. I don't remember if I got a dance with my mom. ... and that's where Albiola Photography and Videography came in. Jon captured every precious moment. His team of photographers and videographers answered all of the important questions. Yes, I cried. The entrance song was "Can't Stop the Feeling" from Trolls. No, because I didn't eat the cheesecake (or anything on my plate for that matter). Yes, I danced with mom to Boyz II Men. But let me rewind for just a moment... Jon is extremely responsive. And since there is a 3 hour time difference, it was nice to get a call before 9:00pm PST and not using the scale of "Hawaiian Time", which translates to 2 or 3 days later. LOL. Jon responded within the hour. He was very professional, easygoing, and worked within our budget. It didn't take long for us to sign the contract. Ok, back to the wedding... Kortni and I decided to write each other love letters on the morning of the wedding. My nephew (also my ring bearer) was practicing his reading skills by reading the letter aloud as I wrote. It was kinda embarrassing, because I was being cheesy, but cute to hear him read. As I was putting on the finishing touches to the letter, I looked back and noticed that Jon was capturing every minute on camera. It was a special moment and Jon caught it. Jon has a special knack of being at the right place at the right time and not being in the way. He's like a photo ninja. But when he needed to take charge of a situation, like the chaos between the ceremony and the reception, he was able to take charge and still be nice about it. He was assertive, without being an ass, so i guess that makes him just ertive. Jon & Crystal also took great sunset photos at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Crystal caught several instances of us being our normal cute selves and just said "look up at me, guys". When we received a sneak peek of the photos, we agreed that the "look up at me, guys" pictures were some of our favorites. It was just us being dorks, but dressed a little nicer than usual. We were very surprised at how amazing the sneak peek of our photos looked and how quickly we received them (within a week). Kortni and I are very thankful for Jon, Crystal and the rest of the staff. Our photos and videos are amazing. See below. www.Mesascottohana.wedding https://vimeo.com/252007158 We highly recommend Albiola Photography and Videography to capture the precious moments on your special day.
