    Flowers i got. Not even close to what they describe on the web

    Ordered trough doordash (never heard about this place until saw it on doordash) 100% different from what they described on the web. They give you option on standard, deluxe(+$10) or premium(+$20) ,But didnt described what's the difference. As you seen on my pic the flowers they gave me is wilted. Paid $60 before tax, Ended throwing the flowers and pick up different bouquets from wegmans for less price and 100% better quality!

    God-awful arrangement. I even paid for the premium option and I got such a terrible product. I looked like a fool sending this to my loved one. Waste of money. Stay clear of this business. See pictures attached. This was on Feb 25, 2022.

    This is what I ordered.

    I ordered the vase of red roses with baby's breath which is pictured on Black Iris website. The item received looked like I went out and cut flowers and jammed them into a vase. It was for my sister who is ill and this makes me so sad and embarrassed. She sent me the picture of what she received. I am appalled! I do not recommend this business. Don't order from them.

    Flowers are losing petals and the greenery has wilted. Some of the stalks are rotting towards the top, near the flowers.

    Awful! They delivered to the wrong house and I never received my flowers. Tried calling their number listed on the website but no one picks up.... The person who received my flowers called (she found a card buried in the flowers with my number on it) and I went to pick them up. She had called the shop 3 times and they said they'd come get them but never did. They look awful. I will NEVER buy from them again. Even the woman who received them said she will never buy flowers from Black Iris.

    I ordered a$85 bouquet for my best friend that suddenly lost her mom the day prior. They website does show 3 variations of the bouquet which I was fine with all were beautiful. (Left picture is one of them). My friend sent a picture with a thank you and i was floored that it looked nothing like the pictures of the flowers i has picked out. The bouquet that was delivered (on the right) has huge fillers ( that die quickly) and not as many roses. I did call the florist and he said they would go pick up the other one and deliver another and that my friend should take another picture because the one i emailed him was the "back" of the bouquet . I said absolutely NOT She is grieving a sudden loss & I won't have her take another picture (without asking she sent me a pic of the front) only because i said it wasn't the right flowers. The florist insisted on picking them up... the emails went into the night... so nothing was done, not a discount nothing. Very unprofessional. If this works have been any other occasion i would have had them change it the flowers but it was a death and bad timing. BEWARE what you see is not what you get and for the price... NOPE NEVER AGAIN!

    This is what was delivered to the funeral home.

    I ordered a premium Golden Slumber funeral spray for a beloved family member from Black Iris. The product delivered was not the quality I ordered. The product that I ordered was not what I received. I expressed my concerns both in email and by phone. The person I spoke to on the telephone on Thursday 11/5/20 identified themselves as Todd the owner of the shop and said he did the floral arrangement and the Money I spent was in the display. I provided photos of the product delivered and the product advertised. I have attached the photos to this review: A photo of the product received and a photo of the advertised product on the website. Judge for yourself. How would you feel if you received the product we received? I ordered a premium funeral spray. The premium spray is the highest price in most lush version of the product. What was delivered was not a premium funeral spray. It does not look like the Advertised product. The delivered product was sparse and did not have the abundance of flowers expected nor advertised. I understand sometimes there are substitutions and flowers but generally there is adequate substitution in my experience. This did not occur in this instance. I was very embarrassed buy the product delivered. I have ordered this same product from another vendor for a funeral out of the area. I know what it supposed to look like in person. I have pictures of that product as well if I needed to compare. I ordered for delivery on Tuesday 11/3/20. Wincing seeing the display in person at the funeral visitation, I was shocked and appalled. I emailed Black Iris on 11/4 Wednesday. I called on 11/5 Thursday and talked to a man that identified as Todd the owner of the man that had done the display. I had to ask three times to get a name. Again he said the money was in the flowers, he wanted to make it right, and he stood by their product. He would call me after he reviews the photos I sent him by email. I received a return email from Todd on Saturday saying he would call me. He did not call me. I sent a follow-up email a week later 11/11/20. I have given Black Iris A week and a half to discuss this with me further and make it right. At this point I feel no other recourse to put them on social media blast due to inferior product and not addressing the situation properly. Buyers beware. I have my emails, photos, and phone records. This is what happens when you are grieving and in a hurry and don't read reviews before using the service. Do not use this florist.

    The delphinium were mostly dead- I managed to get three flowers off the sprig they gave me.

    I made a cake for my nieces wedding. She used Black Iris. It took a lot of calls and emails to get them to take my money ($75, which is totally fine) for a vase of flowers to be used to decorate the cake. That was irritating but I was assured I would have a bouquet of flowers in a vase in fresh water on the cake table for my cake. They charged me but never sent me a receipt or invoice, despite my asking repeatedly. At the venue, they took some flowers from my nieces centerpieces to give to me because they didn't have my bouquet. They had floral foam on the short cut stems. I didn't discuss this with them at the time because the bridal party was all around. The delphiniums I was given were dying. I salvaged three flowers. The roses were pretty. There were two other kinds of flowers I didn't receive to use that would have tied the colors more in to the wedding. I called two days later to request a refund. I was told they'd take care of it and brusquely rushed off the phone. I live in Richmond so I can't just go down there. Three days later I had a refund of $30, which I guess means they took $45 worth of flowers from my nieces centerpieces that she paid for. I want to tell her she should get a refund for those flowers but I don't want to make her look back at her wedding day with irritation so here I am, reviewing on Yelp. You can't review on their Facebook page. I did do three stars because the roses were pretty and the people who delivered were nice, but I'm not happy with how this played out.

    Unreal What would you call this messy unprofessional peice of garbage that arrived three days late. The sender paid over 100.00 to send this!!???The greenery looks like it was snatched off a bush outside the door on the way in.One star is too many.
