The Black Horse Pub is a great, cosy little place, nestled in the corner as you drive into Lower Heswall Village.
It's very friendly and homely and has a good buzz of an atmosphere inside. It has an outdoor bench area which is perfect for watching the world go by on a sunny afternoon.
They have a full bar inside, with ales, bitters and lagers on tap. They also have a selection of bottled beers and house wines, and a full selection of spirits and liquors.
Given the area this pub is in, you would expect it to be a little snobby as it is on the cusp of the affluent areas of Lower Heswall such as Baskerville Road etc. However, this couldn't be further from the truth, I guess the rich people stay in and sip Moet rather than mixing with the local's in the local watering hole!
